From the creators of the award-winning '140' comes an innovative and intense new entry in the twin-stick shooter genre. Though it’s deeply rooted in the arcade tradition, THOTH also brings something unique to the table. Each stage in the game is specifically designed to require both puzzle solving and finesse to get through. Players constantly need to think about positioning and timing while making sure to both dodge enemies and avoid collisions.
Aesthetically, THOTH is a vibrant rush of colors, shapes, and patterns accompanied by a brutal soundtrack by electronic music pioneers Cristian Vogel & SØS Gunver Ryberg. The imposing aesthetics and the relentlessly demanding gameplay eventually induces a trance-like state in the player.
The game is independently designed by Jeppe Carlsen, former lead gameplay designer at Playdead.

Good minimalism. Second best shooter, after Quake.
I'd like to give credit to Thoth and the developers other game '140', as they are actually pretty neat games and fun for a few hours, but I did not enjoy the 'inverted' content for either game; that's the yolo section's of which are quite lengthy. But since that takes a majority of the time spent in the game, I'm not sure I want to give it a good score.

Several interesting ideas with disgusting replayability and I have a feeling that it was being made with a purpose to keep the game from refund.
Wow!!! I'm really impressed!!! I've bought this game because I knew that the author is one of creators of my favourite games - Limbo, Inside and Cacoon!! And I had no idea that he created even more games!!! This one is amazing, it shows how awesome can (and should) be a game design!!! You see the graphics in this game, but don't allow the picture trick you, it's one of the coolest game I've ever played. I doesn't need some cool picture or protagonist, because it has so fulfilled gameplay, each 4 levels the game introduces a new mechanic, so you just can't get bored from it. I'm really sure that this game have to be as an excellent example of gameplay in each books that tries to explain how should we build a gameplay in games. What's a wonderful game, I love it!! It's like the Tetris in it's time, you can't stop playing!
Btw in reality the picture is awesome, as well as sound design!!! My huge respect to the creators!!!
Good but tough twin stick shooter. Be warned though, there's no Exit Game option on Steam Deck. You have to hold in the top left button to exit the game.
