This game is one of the hidden gems on Steam!
Stunning graphics, epic boss battles, interesting game mechanics, character customization (like changing your name) and a "huge" open world to explore make this game an experience you could never forget. (seriously: Great game for people with friends but without hobbies) (bad enough to be good again)
> Be me, scrolling through Steam for a game to cure my boredom
> Stumble upon 3..2..1..Grenades! - think, "Alright, let's explode some stuff" 💣
> Download it faster than my alarm clock screeching at me to wake up and face the day
> Boot it up, expecting a casual explosion fest
> Suddenly, hit with more strategic depth than a game of chess on fire ♟️🔥
> Tutorial is like a crash course in grenade physics - finally, a class I can excel in 💥
> Enter the first level, armed with grenades and a sense of impending chaos
> The art style is a delightful mix of retro and explosively vibrant colors 🌈
> Enemies look like they're straight out of a cartoon - less threatening, more chuckle-worthy
> Lobbing grenades like I'm auditioning for the Olympics - take that, shot put champions! 🥇
> Enemies explode in a shower of pixels and confetti - it's like a celebration of chaos 🎉💣
> Each level is a puzzle, and I'm the mad genius solving it with my explosive intellect
> Grenades bouncing off walls, enemies panicking - chaos level over 9000!
> The physics are so realistic; I half-expect Neil deGrasse Tyson to appear and give me a high-five
> Unlocking new grenades is like Christmas morning for a pyromaniac - joy in every explosion 🎁🔥
> Multiplayer mode is the real MVP - exploding friends is the ultimate bonding experience 💣🤝
> Co-op is like a support group for grenade enthusiasts - "Hi, I'm Steve, and I love explosions" 💥
> Boss fights are the cherry on top - because nothing says "challenge" like a giant explosive enemy
> Soundtrack is a banger; I'm grooving to explosions like it's the hottest club in town 🎵🕺
> Achievements pop up like unexpected grenades - "Congratulations, you exploded that thing!" 🏆💥
> The game is so addicting; I forget to eat, sleep, and occasionally blink - who needs those anyway?
> 3..2..1..Grenades! has more strategy than a game of chess, more explosions than a Michael Bay film, and more fun than a barrel of TNT-wielding monkeys.
> Highly recommend to anyone with a love for chaos, strategy, and controlled explosions! 💣🌪️🎮
[i][HONEST TRAILER INTRO MUSIC]
NARRATOR: (Ryan George style) In a world where grenades are the solution to every problem, comes a game that answers the age-old question: "What if your grandma's bingo night got a grenade upgrade?"
[GAME FOOTAGE]
NARRATOR: Meet 3..2..1..Grenades! A game where your grenade-tossing skills are put to the test against aliens, friends, enemies, and unsuspecting pugs. Because nothing says "peaceful coexistence" like explosive doggos.
[PITCH MEETING-ESQUE]
EXECUTIVE: So, what's the game about?
DEVELOPER: Picture this: grenades. Everywhere. You throw 'em, you dodge 'em, you drown in 'em. It's a love letter to chaos.
EXECUTIVE: Chaos, you say? I'm listening.
[GAME FOOTAGE]
NARRATOR: (sarcastically) Strap on your grenade belt and prepare for:
Deathmatch: Because nothing says camaraderie like blowing up your friends repeatedly.
Fallball: Grenades meets soccer - a sport where everyone's a winner... at exploding.
Tennis: Forget Wimbledon; this is more like Boombleton!
Capture the Pug: Because capturing flags is so last season. We're all about dog-napping now.
Paintball: Or as we like to call it, "Technicolor Explosions: The Game."
[PITCH MEETING-ESQUE]
DEVELOPER: We've got this Overworld Adventure Mode, where you earn Golden Grenades by playing variants to save Grenades Co. from an alien menace.
EXECUTIVE: (nodding) Aliens? Perfect. But can we add pugs?
DEVELOPER: Already on it. Capturing the Pug is a fan favorite.
[GAME FOOTAGE]
NARRATOR: But that's not all! With over 30 Mix and Match Game Variants, things get crazier than a rock concert during a meteor shower.
Explosions++: Because one plus one equals BOOM.
Invisible Grenades: Because who needs visibility anyway?
Tiny Mode: For when you want your grenades to feel like they're on a diet.
Bullseyes Only: Because hitting anything other than the bullseye is for amateurs.
[PITCH MEETING-ESQUE]
EXECUTIVE: I love it. Explosions, aliens, pugs - it's got everything. But what about the SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS?
DEVELOPER: (confidently) Fear not. The system requirements are as simple as our love for grenades:
A computer
A pulse
[HONEST TRAILER OUTRO MUSIC]
NARRATOR: (excitedly) 3..2..1..Grenades! Where the explosions are big, the pugs are small, and chaos is just a pin-pull away. Get ready for the grenade party of a lifetime!

The Corrs - Angel
She threw like she'd never miss the mark
Didn't care to play it safe in the dark
And she was tactical, oh so tactical
I still hear her lob grenades like she's here 🎯💥
Blast it all away, no need to run
It's not a sin to have some fun
Forever grenadier
I hope they throw like you do
Forever grenadier
I'll be proud to throw like you
Throw like you
(I'll be proud to throw like you)
Does the blast light up the sky when you're raining down?
Do you get along with the bombs on the ground?
It's gotta be better than before
You don't need to worry, now you soar 🌌✨
Forever grenadier
I hope they throw like you do
Forever grenadier
I'll be proud to throw like you
Throw like you
And when I go to sleep at night
I'll thank you for each explosive delight surrounding me 🌙💣
For every boom I'll ever make
Each moment's chaos I wanna take
Calculated mayhem
Grenade extravaganza
Never-ending explosions
For throwing when I had the chance
Grenadier
I hope they throw like you do
Forever grenadier
I'll be proud to throw like you
Forever grenadier
I'll be proud to throw like you
Throw like you
I'll be proud to throw like you 🎇🕹️
3..2..1..Grenades is definitely a good first showing from Banyango. It feels like a weird mix of Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye with the colour palette and jagged lines of Megaman Legends. It's a little rough around the edges / lacking polish in some places, but the music is catchy, and there is a good variety in the multiplayer. The boss fight(s) feel fun, and the main mechanic is kept fresh with different power-ups, match mutators, maps, and game types. If you're looking for a one-off party game for a party and you have a few extra xbox controllers, this is a decent choice.
Nice throwback to the simpler days of split-screen FPS games. It's kind of like if Goldeneye 64 and Super Mario 64 had a baby. You'd think that only having grenades would be boring, but it's really not. There are some variations to try out, but nothing too crazy. The fast pace and challenge are what make it fun. It's also a plus that you can go head-to-head with 4 players local, or you can co-op the campaign mode together and unlock dozens of levels. The only thing lacking here is online play. Overall, it's a fun budget game to play locally with friends. Check out my gameplay if you're interested.
A fun arena FPS game that recaptures not just the feeling of playing N64 shooters like GoldenEye, but the feeling of tweaking the settings and playing in very specific game modes, in this case with the "explosives only" weapon set.
The game's only weapons are different types of throwable explosives. On top of that, there are plenty of game mode variations like fast motion and invisibility. The game has a colorful, low-poly/sprite-texture aesthetic that looks great. I haven't gotten the chance to play a multiplayer game yet, but the single player campaign has plenty of fun to offer. It's styled after Mario 64, with a hub-world full of doors that you unlock with collectables. You get more collectibles by returning to levels to play with different variations and win conditions. The levels themselves are varied and creative, and keep the game interesting with things like destructable floors and underground passages.
Definitely worth checking out if you miss the days of N64 party games.
Great game, excellent for local co-op party sessions and a fine game to just play against bots.
A fun, local multiplayer game where you bomb your pals to oblivion. Also includes a single-player mode that evokes N64 classics!

3..2..1..Grenades! is a neat little local-multiplayer game. Great fun with friends. It's mostly focused on different variations of deathmatch where your only weapon is a grenade (or grenade variant). You can get all that from the trailer, so here's a few points that stood out to me:
Gameplay
-Numerous modes ranging from simple deathmatch to destructible floors to a form of basketball featuring a throwable pug.
-A couple different grenade types to pick up in most levels.
-Story mode (featuring all variations of levels and boss fights) or quick play.
Secrets
-A fair amount of secrets to find throughout the game.
-Intentional secrets such as gold/silver grenades (collectibles) and hidden weapons.
-Unintentional (but still fun) "secrets" such as out-of-bounds or advantageous spots in levels.
Boss Fights
-Patterned bosses that don't pose much of a challenge.
-Only two boss fights (which is the same boss at two different points in the game).
AI
-Obviously the game works best with 4 humans, but AI is there to fill in the gaps.
-Brainless on Easy, mostly ignored on Medium (never tried Hard).
-Occasionally get stuck in places and become free kills.
Inspirations
-Heavily inspired by N64 games.
-Audio sounds a lot like Banjo-Kazooie and similar titles
-World layout and level unlocks are very similar to Mario 64.
Bugs
-Quite a few minor bugs, but nothing gamebreaking.
-Bugs generally didn't affect the gameplay at all.
Capture the Pug
-The "basketball" mode.
-Honestly a minor thing to bring up, but it's very hard to score so the matches often lasted a long time.
-My least favorite game-type (breakable floors being my favorite).
3..2..1..Grenades is possibly one of the best local multiplayer games I've ever played. Period.
The Doom-esque gameplay fused with grenade throwing madness makes this game a true masterpiece.
Well done pixel graphics and simple music scores make up perfect backdrop for ruined friendships.
The game is filled with countless options to keep multiplayer gameplay fresh, and a fairly extensive story mode (basically incentivized multiplayer matches that allow you to unlock all the maps in the game).
If you aren't looking to spend too much dough, but still want a great time with your friends, you can't beat 3..2..1..Grenades.
10/10!
Full disclosure, I've been following the developers progress, and I like the guy - so I was pre-hyped for this game. That said, I also paid full price because it looks like a really fun LAN style game.
I honestly love the cartoon look and feel of the game - it feels just like an old SNES FPS game. The controls feel nice and I had no issues killing stuff. The tutorial was cute, I loved the SNES style old blue-and-white text dialogs. What can I say, I was pumped and it actually exceeds my expectations :)
A lot of incomplete stuff floats around these days... this isn't one of those. It is well done.
This is a great game to play together with your friends. It reminds me of FPS' from when I was a kid, getting my friends together in front of a TV to blow each other up all night! The twist with this game is that all the weapons are grenades.
It has a fun aesthetic and an upbeat soundtrack. The multiplayer quest mode is a blast! (PUN INTENDED.)
if you like mario 64 then you'll probably like this
Wow, this game is actually a ton of fun. Its got a lot of little things about it that remind me of playing an old N64 game. The music sort of reminds me of like diddy kong racing or something. A lot of the sound effects are very N64 sounding. Even the quest mode or campaign reminds me a lot of maybe super mario or something. You go around collecting golden grenades which you then use as sort of currency to open doors to other levels to then get more grenades.
There is no online multiplayer so if thats what youre looking for then maybe turn back now but honestly ive been having a blast by myself and with some friends locally. All the game modes are multiplayer as well. Kill eachother all day or team up against the bots. Speaking of the bots, they are quite smart and pretty good at the game.
The level design is really well done. There are secret spots to get to and get some better grenade pickups. Tons of mutators or other options for the multiplayer so you can play big head mode or low hravity or whatever. Also lots of game mides. Play Capture the Pug, Paint mode, Death match, Or one where you blow up the ground beneath you to be the last one standing.
All in all the game is fantastic. If you are looking for your next local multiplayer pary game then look no further.
Extremely polished. Totally captures the feel and triggers my nostalgia for whimsical Nintendo games. Plenty of substantial gameplay variants mean that it's not a one-trick pony. The bot AI is good and makes a fun challenge out of single player, and playing with others is a blast (see what I did there).
The feeling of nostalgia in this game is really cool. It's obviously a throwback to early days of n64 games, specifically mario, and the soundtrack is really cool.
General gameplay is really enjoyable too, even against bots, and I've played this with friends before too and it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend having a couple friends over to have a good time with this!
Enjoyable local multiplayer with grenades only. I haven't had a chance to see all the different game modes yet, but the main one is pretty solid if you have a few friends over.
Soundtrack stays with you long after you played, you'll find yourself humming it :)
