This game is just like Mario kart, but with sonic characters and more cooler tracks and items. Its worth buying this game and the collections.

A really fun cart-game with fairly difficult challenges.
The online part is kinda dead but still fun with friends
and alone sometimes to go and play some races.
The game has some performance issues on the PC
version but there are a lots of guides that help you
to fix these issues, so very enjoyable after all.

this game is really fun and has a good amount of characters and a good roster it has the perfect amount of tracks and this game has really good graphics for its time and has low system requirements overall 9/10
The amount of different Sega IPs in this game is awesome. I'm obsessed with The House of the Dead, Samba de Amigo and Panzer Dragoon tracks.
The gameplay is also fun, sometimes challenging when flying though. I've also gotten stuck on a map and haven't had any way to get out once.
A lot of online racing games are plauged with pay-to-win micro transactions or always require online to play. This game doesn't have those issues which I think is important to mention. It's a better alternative if you'd rather spend money once vs constantly having to buy more.
One of the best racing games I've played along with Mario Kart, it's so good I can't even choose a favorite between that franchise and this game, mixing 3 types of vehicles on the same race is pretty unique and gives races a different taste to any other game where you only control a certain type of vehicle.
Definitely recommend it, great controls, gameplay and full of game modes, single player, multiplayer, assorted cast from so many classic SEGA games, it's great.
its was one of the first games that i played as a kid, to finally buy the game again and get ages is heart warming feelling. Its a fun game especially for its age & trying to get ages, it was hard work but it shows how good the game is... its also good for familys & friends

Ah yes... I do indeed turn right at a right hand corner; unlike the Ai, which sees it fit to turn HARD left into a wall, then proceeds to lose the race.
If there is one word to explain the Ai; (The other racers) in this game that word would be “Indecisive”. For example, in the same race you will get shot from two corners back with pinpoint accuracy with no escape. Then later on you will see that same racer catapult themselves off a cliff for your own spectacle. It's like they are trying to convince you that they are not cheating by purposely throwing their own chance of winning right in front of you. All this to say the Ai’s “Rubber Banding” tends backfire epically to your own enjoyment.

game brings back so many memories. i owned the 3DS version and 100% that one. i never got to try out the PC version and i have to say this version is so much better. highly recommend for the nostalgia and gameplay
Great couch co-op game, a lot of fun!
If the game doesn't launch:
- Steam library, right click on the game, manage, browse local files
- right click on ASN_App_PcDx9_Final.exe and Launcher.exe
properties, compatibility, choose Windows 7, Restart Steam.
This worked for me (Windows 11).
Some people said that deleting installscript.vdf in the same folder worked.
For those who don't know:
Open this game's local files and delete the file named
"installscript.vdf"
and then set
"Launcher.exe" and "ASN_App_PcDx9_Final.exe"
to run in compatibility mode with Windows 8.
Through this, you can run this game on modern Windows
By the way the game is good. Team Sonic Racing has the potential to be better than Transformed and vice versa. It all depends on whether or not you want to feel the speed with some jank (Transformed) or feel the speed with some polish (Team Racing).
Legitimately better than Mario kart.
Also it has tf2 characters so yeah that immediately makes it amazing.
A pretty good port of the Game to Computer, this a great game that has aged pretty well, besides the inclusion of Danica Patrick, definitely recommend

No longer works at when starting up it will give an error that game is already running even after reistalling the game multiple times and there is no fix either all comments ti fix are all fake, and i was able to play when i bought a while back, i am very dissapointed that there is no fix from the developers.

If you are bored of the same mario kart formula with no changes try this game because it has car transformations(one game did that in the past)but this game renewed it,the online is very active on pc,and the pc version is the best in graphics and characters

Kart racer from the OutRun 2006 developers. Dynamic tracks (if anything, there's too much going on in some of them and readability can be tricky). Comprehensive single-player mode which scales for different skill levels. Richard Jacques music.
Also you can play as Football Manager and all sorts of other weird characters, which works because SEGA games in general have always leaned towards the esoteric.
It's a good game overall. It reminds me of the times i used to play this game on the PS Vita...

Did you love Diddy Kong Racing on N64 as a kid in the 90s? GET THIS GAME. Total spiritual successor, so much fun, with creative tracks and graphics. It's considered "old" now so online matchmaking doesn't work but I adore playing this solo with the other AI sonic characters and the little "weapons" and buffs you can pick up on the tracks add an element of silly randomness. I did have some problems with the game not starting on my previous laptop but my current one has no issues. Played this many years ago, installed it again recently and love it just as much. Tip: Turn down the annoying announcer's voice (and get treated to an easter egg).

I played this game a lot during the Xbox 360 and Wii U era, it was one of the best racing experience I've ever had in a kart racer spending countless hours with the transformation gimmick, dynamic track changes, great roster of characters, incredible soundtrack and the visuals but with the PC version be the only one that I can play with my friends on I of course went and bought it but upon playing it however I encounter problems already quite notoriously, the game crashing with no matter what the game crashes whenever I enter the water sections in some tracks so I had to turn a few graphical settings down including the water texture which is a shame since the water in this game is really good but then when I go to Adder's Lair the only track that has no water texture since you're on Lava, the game crashes the first few seconds of playing to I now have to play this game entirely with every single graphical setting set to low which hurts my gaming experience for every track in the game and it hurts when I race with friends when I get tracks to vote that causes my game to crash so I couldn't enjoy this game as a whole if this keeps constantly crashing due to this game not updated to be stable on current hardware so as much as I love this game I unfortunately cannot recommend it unless you somehow miraculously manage to get around the game crashing.

fun game really like it but some items are not fair
After having played the first Sonic & Sega All-Star racing, looking at this now, I can see gameplay wise it has improved on this racing game for All-Star Transformed. The vehicles transforming and some of the transforming tracks definitely gave me an element of surprise when first playing this game and it's definitely fun to race in a car, a boat and plane. And with all the features to play to progress or unlock makes it all the more enjoyable along with the challenges it has.
However, I will say, while I had a blast and I plan to play this with a few people, I will say, I do struggle a lot with boat when it goes a little out of control regardless of the handling. But despite feeling like I sometimes don't have control of the boat, I still have a blast and sometimes manage to recover. I will also say I have noticed how in the previous Sonic & Sega All-Star game, it seems the previous one, when you boost, you sometimes end up invulnerable against the track's obstacle. In here, that doesn't happen anymore. It was very abusable in the previous game. It was also much more challenging than the previous game too. But the license upgrade? I love it compared to the Sega miles from the previous game, along with being able to customize it with stickers of what one has unlocked.
The positives in my opinion overwhelms some of the game this game has, especially if you find people to play this with. The only gripe I currently have is that sometimes, it doesn't do stunts when I flick the right stick and sometimes proc it twice because it didn't buffer it before, and sometimes, the boat part of the race. but other than that, it's a swell game if you like cartoonish or fantasy like race game.
Fun game to play with my kids.
You can play as Metal Sonic, three characters from Team Fortress 2, and Ralph from Wreck it Ralph. And that one Nascar driver nobody likes. Also, the music is really good.
Do not buy this it does not launch as of the 8th of December 2024
Not putting Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed into S-tier is crazy!
It surpasses Mario Kart in technique required for continuous player improvement, and once you reach each goal along the way, it's a massive dopamine hit. Controller setup for the game can be a bit challenging if your stick drift falls outside the deadzone adjustment radius. Hitting 'Play' on Steam gives an additional option to 'configure' settings such as video, but it does not work for me. Instead, I had to run 'launcher.exe' found in the game's steam directory.
you'd have a lot of fun with this, if you like a bit of challenge per say or a change of pace (good luck getting all of the achievements)
better than its predecessor
this is singlehandedly best Sonic Kart racing game, better than TSR and has active playerbase (unlike TSR)

Fantastic local co-op game, as the whole campaign can be played together. Might need some tweaking to get everything working perfectly so make sure to check PCGamingWiki if you have any issues. Runs and looks great.
i dont really think this game aged well, but its still fun especially considering that the first game was very fun.

This game is great but the configuration on windows 11 doesn’t work for some reason but the game still plays and it still oils good even today. It’s still fun too.
My favorite cart style racing game of all time. If you have worn out Mario Kart give this a try. The transformed concept adds a fun twist and the tracks and characters are colorful and challenging.
I played this game a couple times on the PC and the game was really fun The graphics were good but as of the month ago I tried to play this game and it said the game was already running and it continued to say the same thing after I tried to uninstall the game and reinstall it I don't know if this game is even available to play anymore but it sure as hell ain't working on steam anymore which needs to be fixed so how are others able to play it but I sure as hell Kate and I tried it on several different devices but otherwise the game is really fun I think it's better than that new team Sonic racing crap
Pretty Good Game but if you have a modern gpu you will probably need to use some sort of 3rd party plugin to prevent the screen from going completely white from time to time.
Can be hard to set up, but when you do it's easily the best out of the five Sonic kart racers currently available on Steam.
way better than mario kart 7 (which this competed with) and overall a really fun game to play alone or with friends. the og is still king tho.
