About The Seeker

The Seeker is an action/stealth game, where you are in the role of the little drone that was accidentally activated by the debris that hit the EPC-221.
It all began after the Great Galactic war when people had to leave earth, however instead of living peacefully, they destroyed themselves to ashes by their greed for power.
Now you, as The Seeker, woken up, ready to find the cause of all of the GGW

Phase_1 . . .

You're piece of electronic junk, someone's long lost drone left alone on EPC-221. After the era of the "Great Galactic War" in which whole mankind was wiped out. You are now the seeker of collecting evidence of human race and in quest do destory the evil AI and find your owner in the process.

Gameplay:

Through the game you'll encounter various barriers; Other drones, alarm systems, etc. in a random generated level (only the layout stays the same) That will try to slice you in pieces, the more, the better.

You as The Seeker, need to find the exit out of this robot made hell, by collecting points, enjoying the scenery and the music that captures the essence and the beauty of destruction intertwined.
With human and robotic leftovers.

Features:

  • Huge randomness in the level - Each time you load up the level, the enemies, the items, the points, the alarms, the cameras, the turrets, the doors, everything will change exepct the basic layout of the level, this creates unique gameplay for each and everyone of you making you special as you already are. All random.
  • Procedural alarm system - Each time you screw up, and activate the alarm, you are making the level a lot harder, and this is where the PAS comes in. It adds doors, activates more and harder enemies of different type, making escaping and stealing data very hard. As you make more mistakes the more money prize you get at the end, as passing a level with no trigger is rewarding, surviving a level 5 breach is far more as it is far more difficult
  • Complete customization of the player/b] - Fully working customization of the player, and unlimited community skins with the combination of the Steamworkshop. Want to change colors? No problem. Models? Easy. Add new models, particles, effects, ANYTHING? No problem.
  • Complex upgrading system - Here you spend your hard earned points you collected passing a level, by buying upgrades, weapons, charges, decoys, fake walls, hacking abilities making your life through the System easier.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Thank you.

The Seeker is an abandoned Early Access construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, Volens Nolens Games/Enoops. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab.

This time, some effort went into using a 2D top down template with some minimalist/stolen/unattributed stock assets to make a 3D rendered 2D stealth action game where you control a green blob and go through some asset flipped corridors. The concept of a stealth game like this is fine, but when put into the hands of unethical asset flip scammers, the result is always going to be garbage.

VisualTech48/Volens Nolens Games have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

The game was abandoned roughly one year after launch and hasn't been updated in 6 years. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. The game will never be completed.

Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.

The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. The Seeker has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for finishing the tutorial, trivial to achieve, but less than 1 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch.

Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 1 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother to played the game? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game.

That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.

Unethically, the developer sold keys to this abandoned Early Access game into cheap, nasty game bundles, where they knew it would be advertised and sold as a complete PC game. This seems to have been done in an attempt to mislead gamers into buying a knowingly faulty, defective and incomplete product. When a developer does this for a game they have zero practical intention of completing, this is essentially a scam, an intention to get paid for a broken/unfinished product. Often this is done as an exit strategy, as the developer takes the money and runs. No refunds have been given, the developer kept all the money they took from gamers.

Another unethical act of this developer, knowing full well that this game is abandoned and they will never complete it, they are deliberately trying to scam gamers into buying it by offering it on discount from time to time. It's impossible to "accidentally" discount a game. The developer looked at their abandoned game, and instead of doing the right thing and removing it from Steam, they instead doubled-down and tried to scam even more people into paying for it. Greedy, and completely unethical. Doing the wrong thing, on purpose, for money. This is not okay.

Furthering the unethical nature of this developer, while they are selling this incomplete game under Valve's failed Early Access program, they're abusing that program, and not working on this game full time, as they have other projects in the works. That means there's ZERO confidence anyone who buys this in Early Access will receive a complete game, and it's possible that they're being scammed.

The Seeker has the insane price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.

It looks so simple and easy, but it really isn't (at least not for me ). Though so far I'm truely enjoying the game! You have to hack and get around the base without dying or getting caught!

To contact me or see anything go to Youtube and look up Mellythibs! Or just message me on steam, if able to.

If you are fine with early access games. This is one to watch. I found it tough and finally that is a good things. Most games out there are to easy and made for the I want it all and right now generation. This one will give you a run for your money. Is it worth the money, you bet and to be honest I think more.

I know that it's a early acces game , and it a little game , so a little comunity . When we do the training , we don't know how to use things . For example , i had to reset 6 times the tutorial to understand that when you press space , it place a decoy and this decoy kill the enemies . Mr.Dev , you need to help a little bit the new player on the tutorial by making a great tutorial ;)
The idea of this game is really not bad , but they really need to make the game better :D
For this price , it's a good way to spend 2€ but it's a really recent game that need to get better :D
By The way : a controller support would be great :D
