Yo. This is on sale for 2 bucks n change right now. Just get it. If you clicked it cuz ur curious, im here to say its worth the regular price tag, and a NO brainer for 2 flippin dollars.

Play it with a gamepad and a VR headset. arms out vr play is no fun imho, not enough control by a long shot. Strong stomach suggested because flight. tons of lines to fly, and the challenges are a-plenty.

Do not listen to any of the reviews that praise the controls, or say they are fine. They are absolute garbage. You cannot drop anyone into this game and expect them to have fun or figure it out, even if they are a VR veteran. And for $15???? The devs must be on something.

It seemed like a good game, but I didn't manage to make it work fully with my Oculus Rift controls and believe me I tried a lot.
I don't know what the problem is, but I'm convinced it's not me ... it's a shame

Mount Wingsuit is deffently one of my favourite VR games and in my view a match made in heaven for the VR headsets. The game can also be played in non VR mode but this review is made after playing on a HTC Vive in standing mode.

The game in its core revolves around the real life death defying extreme sport of wingsuits where people jumps off cliffs while building up speed and maneuvering dangerously close to cliffs and and the ground. The game has an arcade feel to it as the player needs to do various tasks like flying through hoops set up like tracks forcing the player to the brink of destruction. The game has a rather large ammount of tasks to do for each of the 20 levels so there is a great ammount variation and replayability in this game.

I think the game has somewhat of a learning curve so you should expect to invest some time and be a bit patient before you actually doesnt just fly straight down to your death but when you get a hang of it this is a really amazing game.

I love this game, I've always wanted to fly a wingsuit and I feel like this is as close as I'll get for a LONG time sadly.
Here are my pros and cons to the game
Pros:
-The flying is fucking terrifying, it really feels like you are flying through the air
-The controls are great once you get it right (More on this later)
-The challenges progress well, you unlock stuff in a timely manner but with a sufficient amount of work

Cons:
-If you are prone to motion sickness, take it slow with this game, because you will get it. I'm fine, but a friend had to sit out for a bit because he couldn't handle it
- The controls can be tricky if you don't set them up right (More later)

In betweens (Things that might matter to someone else, but doesn't to me)
-Graphics aren't GREAT, but they are good enough that it feels real to me
-Some initial challenges are nigh impossible until you unlock better suits and revisit them
-There is DEFINITELY a learning curve, so be ready to fail a bit at the beginning, but it'll get better!

TIPS FOR SETTING UP CONTROLS
- some people have said you have to lean back really far, I figured out why this happens. Basically the way the game detects your pitch input is by how far forward or back you lean, so if you recenter your camera and you are leaning back slightly, you're gonna have to lean back a lot more to make an "up" input. So, when recentering your camera, make sure you are standing straight up, or even leaning ever so SLIGHTLY forward . There's a sweet spot that you'll find and once you get it it'll be great.

Overall, one of my favorite games on VR, definitely recommend!

I've given this game multiple tries and have gotten no where. The flying "controls" are unintuitive. The graphics are quite poor and there's no soundtrack, or any music, to speak of. I could forgive the graphics and lack of music if it was fun. But it isn't. The flight controls are the worst thing about this game. You have to tilt your head till you are trying to stare through your ceiling before you get any sort of response from the rest of your controls. It's just terrible.

the movement system is unclear to understand in first place and you don't have fun to find out how to improve your skills because you die within 5 seconds.

you start of reading through 10 pages of movment description.. without any 3D tutorial :( this is VR guys. use it !
when you do your first jump you die almost immediately because you don't have enough time to figure out the controls until you splash onto the rocks


this game really needs a movement tutorial where you just fall / fly in a endless mode, where it SHOWS OFF a person next to you how to manouver, and you have to repeat the movements step by step.

I really tried getting used to the controls by restarting over and over again. no success. no fun. just permanent rock splashing :(

I can't recommend this game unless it gets a proper INTERACTIVE tutorial

Played on Oculus Rift with Touch. Honestly, this is a fun and challenging game. And there's a surprising amount of content here, believe it or not. There's several drop points, each with different paths, which means there's many jumps/vistas to do and scores to chase. Granted, I haven't been able to get past the second drop point after playing for 30 minutes.

The main things I don't like about this game are the controls and the lack of a good tutorial. Also, the difficulty spike is quite large between the first drop zone and the second drop zone. The graphics are good, but not great. And for whatever reason, I didn' feel fully immersed when flying.

I think part of the reason is because you have to look down or up to control your flight up and down horizontally, meanwhile you're standing up vertically (you can also do seated, but bleh on that). Also you neck will start feeling some strain after a while with the current setup. Why couldn't gliding up or down have been controlled using the motion controllers? Easy solution is to make a slight twist of the wrists for up or down (like an eagle would use it wings or plane using its flaps). That way you can look around wherever you want free from the motion. You're already using your arms to control side movements.

Still, I enjoyed playing this game. I think it's fun if you can ignore the above issues. Just wish the above issues were fixed so that more time could be spent enjoying the game versus being frustrated. Also it would be nice if there was a relaxed, "guided" option, meaning much easier jumps to just enjoy the views and feeling of flight with no score.

That feeling you get the first time you step off that first radio tower....priceless. This is everything I wanted in a VR simulation. I set a fan in front of me and I'm good to go. Plenty of things to do, lots to exp[lore, and upgraded wing suits to unlock. Great sounds, look and feel to the game playing on HTC Vive and standing, I have my VR legs and love scary rides in RL so this didn't bother me one bit, what a great feeling of flight. Didn't take long for me to get control, but is challenging enough with gaps and tunnels, etc. to aim/search for. I can see many hours of gameplay with this title, I've had it on my wish list for a little while and was able to grab it on sale for there 1 year anniversary and I am not dissapointed, would have easily paid full price earlier if I had known it was really this much fun, 2D Youtube videos of most VR games never really do them too much justice because it is hard to try and picture what it is like in VR until you try it. Just get this game if you ever wanted to soar like a flying squirel down some mountainside cliffs and such, and you have the stomach for it :P Get this game now!
PS. to the developers: It would be cool to be able to change the color of your smoke, just a thought, or perhaps even different types of "trails", like fire, or snow, etc. :)

This game is so fun but now I have the highscore for almost every droppoint, more people need to play so I can have more competition!

Playing with HTC Vive:

1. This is the game you are looking for.

2. Do not rage quit and ask for a refund, that just means that you a) haven't logged enough time with the Vive and/or b) you haven't spent enough time getting a feel for this game -- practice more before you miss out on this game!!!

3. Bravo to the devs for making the controls so intuitive -- once you get it, you will get it. Like those wierd "3D" posters from (ahem) 25 years ago...

4. For Noobs -- I have found that sitting in my chair, resting my elbows on my knees as a starting position works well, and use your wrists for most motion. It is about feel, and VERY important to look ahead (like a race car driver looks ahead into the furthest turn they can see, your body will react intuitively as long as you LOOK where you WANT to go. More practice!

5. It really is awesome!

Looking forward to more content, better graphics (as time progresses), and multiplayer COOP would be the cat's meow. MEOW!

FIrst up, a bit of a warning. This one has a learning curve to it, especially if you're using the Vive controllers. Expect to spend your first thirty minutes or so smashing into cliffs and trying to make sense of what the hell is going on. The controls need a very subtle touch, and figuring out exactly how to hold them is a bit of a trial-and-error process right now.

Do NOT give up. Once it "clicks" it is amazing. I have no idea what "real" wingsuit flying is like, but this feels spectacular. I found myself frequently holding my breath during close-shave passes with cliffsides and narrow gaps. Going from my first fumbling attempts at flight to screaming through concrete pipes at high speed without fear feels amazing. I've only explored the first two drop sites, and I'm already hooked.

It's a great idea, and I would honestly love the game to pieces if it weren't for how inconsistent the controls were. One round, I'll have about a 30 degree difference between going up and going down, which is normal. You'd usually see a someone using a wingsuit have his arms around his thighs or so like that.

Then there are the random times, mid flight mind you, where my controls will suddenly require me to swing my arms almost 180 degrees to change from up to down or vice versa, and it's really annoying during my attempts at perfect runs, basically making them entirely impossible.

I just got this game a few days ago, and have already played 8 hours. For a Vive game that means something.

It's like Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but on a giant mountain with a wingsuit. Not onlly is this the most fun game I've played on the vive, but it's getting me my VR legs. I just got the vive recently and don't experience much sickness, though my first drop in No Limits 2 (rollercoaster sim) I Imediately felt it bad and had to rip off the headset.

My first drop in this game I didn't feel it while playing too badly at all, but I felt some adrenaline and fear. When I took the headset off though I was a little nausious for a good hour or two. Since then I have played it in increased amounts of time every day, because it is soo fun, and I am happy to say that after my last 90 minute session I experienced NO nausia.

And I still scream like a girl when I try to do a back flip and end up flying backwards into the mountain to my death.

If you are new to vive start sitting down and do a drop or two until you feel no neusia. For those with VR legs I suggest playing it standing up, and turning down the in game music and putting on spottify or pandora instead. Standing up with my favorite tunes on makes this game super immersive and great with so much potential for replayability. I'm only on drop 45of like 20, and I've completed maybe 12 objectives out of hundreds. Great VR game with lots of content. Don't miss this. (Game supports Vive Controllers.)

I've got this to play on my HTC vive after a friend recommended it to me. I've got to say that I love it. I set up a fan in front of me and the immersion is great. It took a few attempts to get the hang of it but it is quite intuitive with the vive motion controllers and feels very natural now. Well worth the £10.99

Some of the most fun I've had with the Vive. Seems like an odd statement given some of the games out, but I was hooked for three hours straight the first time I booted it up. Addictive like a lot of the snowboarding and skating games that were great on consoles, tons of challenges and a steady progression of unlocks. It never feels grindy, but is definitely challenging. The Vive controllers work extremely well once you get a feel for it (be sure to check out the controls/mapping in options).

I'm not prone to motion/VR sickness, so I won't be much help on that front, but they do have a "stomach" mode that is supposed to help folks with that problem. The sense of speed, height and trajectory are all great. After an hour or so it begins to feel natural and you're bending through the air.

The environment/world is great. The mountains, lines, challenges and atmosphere are all great. There are 20 total bases to unlock and jump from, and each one exposes a new part of the world, a unique area that looked like it may have just been background scenery in earlier jumps.

This is a sleeper hit, if you have even a passing interest in wingsuits, smacking into things going 175 mph or jumping off of tall objects...it gets a solid recommendation.

Been playing it using HTC VIVE and it is pure fun!!

started out not too impressed, i didnt experience ANY motion sickness (most likely due to my experience now with VR) but ive since come to be really happy with my purchase!
the wingsuiting is actually pretty fun. when you get the hang of it , its like the wing suiting in JUST CAUSE 3 only in VR.
who wouldnt want that? the collectables havent been a thing ive tried yet, i mainly went to finish courses, but i did notice theres a bit of 'pick the right wingsuit for the job" type thing going on as one suit i picked couldnt finish the course, no matter what i did or how well i flew. thats cool ,forcing players to know the strenghts and weaknesses of the suits.
OVERALL- i enjoyed the game and itll be one of my mainstays!

little pro tip! the wingsuit follows your head when steering, that in conjunction with yawning should get you better turns.

the roll button has to be held ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE TURN!

landing on the pile of boxes DOESNT require opening the chute! you can just "dive" in!

OMFG. i have it, i played it, i'm so good at it. this game feels perfect. perfect in physics, perfect in aerodynamics and perfect in regards of speed. oh, i forgot, perfect sound design, too. unbelievable, what you you can do in this game, so much stuff. be the cam-wingsuiter who films the pro, fly through tubes, find hidden stuff, play a replay of your flight done with ground-cameras and so on. you need an xbox-controller for this game. an original one! the cheap china copies dont have the needed resolution on the sticks which you'll need in this game. this is one of the best 3 vr experiences i ever had (one of the other 2 being lunar flight btw). vr is made for experiences like this. this game will keep me very busy! outstanding work, devs! ps.: multiplayer and online leaderboards would be great.
