Wooh. Much darker. Much harder this time around and fuses even more Fairy Tales into one.
The Hint system will now *tell you* if you can do something in the area you are in.
But otherwise... Gotta work out your brain/memory power. It ain't gonna be easy.
Worth it? Sure. These games have a way of making you want to rescue the innocents.
This time around however... The Bonus Game was dedicated to a little Prequel. The "Next Game" preview was shown through a painting... :D

Visually, it was drastically different from the previous two games but the gameplay and challenge of is the same. I like the part that we are now being given a more "lore-filled" background via cut-scenes and secret Easter eggs. I also like that even though the story is close, it is vastly different from the original tale. I would recommend even just an attempt at it because this game (as a classic) is still a pleasure to play and enjoy.
Huge improvement over the previous two entries. The graphics are much better, brighter, and clearer. As a result the HO scenes are not nearly as frustrating or as impossible to do. The colors are so well done and don't blend in at all, and none of the scenes are dark or gray, making it more appealing to the eye.
Also, the hint button is better done, and I didn't have to look at the guide once. Exiled Prince was a nightmare without the guide. But here it is pretty clear what needs to be done.
More love was given to the puzzles, but even then the developers were clearly still more interested in the HO scenes. Just a great step in the right direction for this series.
By far my favourite HOAG game<3
A big improvement! Really pretty. The hint buttons works a bit better. Was grateful for the guide, needed it in parts. Bonus game was cool too
