Game feels more like a demo than a complete product: most levels are just showing a new mechanic rather than posing any difficulty in finding the optimal solution.
In addition, very very short: takes less than half an hour to complete every level perfectly.
Quite liked the experience. Various mechanics, it was fun to figure them out. It's quite short, but the price matches that. Native Linux support is a nice plus.
Nice puzzle game with enjoyable variations. The level balancing is a bit odd because I had much more trouble on the earlier ones. Totally worth the money!
While some aspects of the game are neat, I think it basically has two big flaws.
The first is that the UI is lacking. While I don't mind that you can't replay levels until you've beaten it, having some idea of what level you are on, or that you're not meant to be able to select levels until you beat it would be a nice change. Even a basic menu would indicate that the game is working as intended, as the lack of a menu anywhere, the inability to restart a level, and the game exiting directly if I hit escape all made me think that the game wasn't working properly.
The second is that the game is very short, even for a dollar. I was done in under half an hour (as in, 100% achievement complete). This wouldn't be as bad if replaying levels to improve solutions was more prominent in gameplay, but it simply wasn't. Most levels only seem to have one solution (or one sensible one) so I had only about 5 levels to improve upon once I beat the game itself.
It's a neat idea, but not $1 neat.
Casual smartphone puzzle game.
Yeah, so this is a mobile port, and it shows. For a mobile game prize you get a game that's playable on a 5 inch screen, and that has 55 levels that I completed within 30 minutes (and that includes 5 minutes for going back and perfecting the levels where I didn't use the minimum number of moves) because you simply can't fit any complex levels on a screen that size.
It's a forgettable game.
Pros: Decent Gameplay
Cons: 12 Minutes of gameplay
Whenever the gameplay gets fun and hard, it gets thrown away and a new mechanic is now in the spotlight
While it is subjective it is not worth the Dollar it costs, especially when there are other games that are free and have more gameplay.
Short, fun puzzler for completionists. A good amount of puzzles that stay fun without getting old, enough options are introduced throughout the short puzzle "adventure" to keep you interested. The ending is followed by SPOILERS: puzzles that deceive you, forcing you to do the wrong move instead of the right move.
Well made, simple music, bug-free, always a plus with bargain bin completionist games.
Don't worry if you can't perfect your moves while progressing through the game, after you finish the game, the game will restart with all levels unlocked, placing a star at the bottom of levels that you perfected, as in finished with the least amount of moves.
No tutorial, no clues. Just your logic and creative thinking. Kinda short but still amusing.
Eh, can't really give this a yay or nay. As you can see I don't even have half an hour. Bujt I've already solved all the puzzles in the minimum moves. This game ends almost as soon as it introduces its most interesting mechanic. Then again,l it is 99 cents.
I liked the game; until it was over. It was over after 17 minutes. I didn't want to do it fast (Looking through the puzzles after having finished, I saw, I did most of them with minimum moves; and felt no whatsoever motivation to do so with the other ones). I played it on one day a little bit, thinking, that the puzzles would be the easier ones and looking forward to the more difficult ones.
Then I played it today again and: it was over. The puzzles are nice. But, for a game that costs money, no matter how much or how little, I expect more playing. It doesn't feel like the developers even tried to use the potencial of the game to make it a challenge in any way. Why didn't they use the mechanics and ideas to make more - and mainly more complex - puzzles? It seems to be more the idea of a game, a tutorial for a game than a full game itself. And that's, in my opinion, a little bit sad. The games leaves me exactly at a moment I just wanted to play the game a little bit more. The 17 minutes I invested were the time to get me interested, now that I am interested, there is no more game!
Interesting and unique little puzzle. The dev is right about the price point, anything more than a dollar would be too much for what it has, but for a dollar it's a great little time waster.
A nice little puzzle game with great ideas !
However it could be much longer, the great mecanics we discover could lead to a much, much, much higher number of levels.
In fact, it almost feel like they are as much "tutorial level" to teach you those mecanics than real puzzle levels, wich aren't really challenging neither.
I think we have some wasted potential here, and i really hope that some (free) DLC will come, the game is way too short, but still good, it does not deserve a negative review in my opinion.
Of all the simplistic $1 puzzle games I've bought on steam, this is probably the best. It's a simple concept that gets twisted in interesting ways as you progress. Never gets dry or repetitive. Not hard enough to be frustrating or easy enough to be boring. Thumbs up.
Not worth it. Although it is cheap, there is not enough challenge and content in the game (I completed it 100% in 31 minutes).
If you like mechanically simple but satisfying puzzles, this has your number. The whole thing lasts about half an hour, maybe another ten minutes for 100% completion, but you might as well go for it. I'd recommend other puzzle games such as Hexcells first, but considering the price, it's more than worth a buy.
It is a fun game, and I really like the art style which you were going for. One huge con is that it only takes around 20 minutes to play. I am a sucker for simplistic games and that is why I'm going to recommend this to other, but please make it longer!
It would also be good if you could change the "esc"/exit button to something else because I pressed it too many times believing I would restart the level! It was a fun game while it lasted :)
Technically this is fine, but it feels... more like potential for a cool idea rather than an actually cool idea. The game introduces all of its different pieces but rarely combines them into anything greater. Why can't we have the replicating mechanic mixed with the multi-player mechanic? That'd be cool. What about the portals, you could use those with both the replicating mechanic and the multi-player mechanic in cool ways. And the gimmick for the last few levels comes too late, that could've been played around with more than it was.
On top of that, for the short length of the game, it really feels like there should be more to it. And even at a dollar... this is basically an underdeveloped free flash game at best. Technically its faults aren't doing anything wrong necessarily, but it's just not doing as much as it should be doing. I can't really recommend it, even for its low price, but I mean, it's clever and mildly fun for as brief as it lasts, I guess?
I am giving this game a yes reccomendation because it's a well made game. It's a short game too. It took me 22 minutes to beat the entire game. My advice, buy it, then request a refund when it's done. Other bad parts about it, no settings menu. Esc = quit the game.
Honestly, it's a nice game, but I completed it 100% in 23 minutes (shortest paths on all puzzles). I was actually really into it. Nice puzzles, even if they are a bit easy, relaxing sounds and unique puzzle mechanics, but as soon as the puzzles start getting a bit more difficult it suddenly ends.
If you're looking for a really good puzzle game I'd recommend Hexcells over this any day. Much better value for money and infinite puzzle generator.
Pro:
+ little interesting casual game
+ cool game mechanic
+ only 1$
+ simplistic graphics
+ Figure out the game mechanics on your own!
+ good interface (possible to replay all levels after finishing them)
Contra
- unfortunately maybe a bit too short (needed about 20 minutes), but it`s only 1$
Well, definitely liked the game!
