Chasing your dream
In an alien world where bounty hunters are seen as heroes for maintaining the order, Eliosi, a young Zelicyan, dreams of becoming one of them. But he will have to overcome the weakness and smallness of his race to fulfill his dream. During your journey as Eliosi, you will face monsters from nature, mutated creatures, bloodthirsty tribes, natural phenomena and more. To even the odds, you will have to use everything at your disposal, including several weapons, equipment, and of course upgrading yourself and your drone.

I can't say this isa bad game, it had potential. It plays like a Crash Bandicoot Sci-fi twin stick shooter which sounds fun. Where the game loses me are the camera angles. As I'm running through dodging obsticles that slam in front of me or enemies that are flying in to attack me the camera angle at some points is so bad that large objects are blocking my view and I fall down a pit that I had no chance os seeing or am attacked by an enemy that I did not see coming. Unfortunately this happened quite often in the short time that I played. It happened enough that I lost interest in playing. If the right thumbstick controlled camera angle or if when I started moving horizontal on the screen the camera auto adjusted to a from behind view this would have made the game more enjoyable and playable. Currently the way to play is that if yoiu fall down a hole that you couldn't see you need to memorise where that hole was to avoid it when you restart at the last check point.
Bad controls - you die in oneshot. Not sure If it gets easier over time when you level up. But at the start its just not scaling well and frustrates very quick.
Seriously ignore the hating and let me tell you why.
this is love letter to ps1 games:
this really do be feeling like a ps1 game, none like a PSX-style horror indie game this genuinely feels like a game from that era, graphics and all.
so don't be expecting a Triple AAA game either visually or mechanically, this is straight up pick and play challenging run n shoot game.
on sale this is a must, its short but its challenging with some secrets for replay-ability also it could be fun to speedrun.
yes the platform can be challenging but FAR from unfair , you're in control of your character and are given plenty of ways to move around , dash jump , jet pack , double jump + combination of these.
people saying there's no way to heal they didn't even realize there's plenty of heal pickups you need to destroy and they respawn with you.
my only beef so far and yes other people mentioned this : the corpses of enemies get in your way. pls try to fix this.

This game is atrocious. The platforming itself is an issue, but then throw in hordes of enemies charging at you when you die in 1-2 hits. Awful graphics and clunky controls.
One of the crappiest games I have ever played. Crappy controls, crappy gameplay, no way to heal, no checkpoints. I DO NOT recomend this. Complete waste of money.
Eliosi's Hunt has solid graphics, but the hybrid style of platforming and top-down shooting doesn't really work here. Anything involving jumping and dashing is agonizing; some might call it 'difficult' but it is not difficult in a fun way. The shooting is okay in a basic sort of way, but the main challenge there is fighting sudden swarms of enemies which are also not particularly fun or interesting.
I'm disappointed that I paid as much as $1.99 for this on sale. Buying it at full price is out of the question.
awful, not fun to play at all. annoying platforming sections with insane difficulty. bodies of enemies are real pain in the ass during combat when the game makers decided to throw 10 dogs charging at you. glitchy, sometimes music stops playing and texture popping that is pure eyesore.
maybe if it was free, it's not worth anything in my opinion, I forced myself to finish it because I knew it is short but I honestly wanted to stop playing at stage 3 (out of 5)
The awful difficulty buries this game in the dirt. I should've just listened to the negative reviews instead of trusting the positive ones. Some of the worst, most frustrating difficulty I've ever seen, and I've beaten Dark Souls 3. Precision platforming onto tiny spots and over lasers that you can barely clear, through ultra tight landing spots between wildly swinging lasers, and the combat... barf. It would be okay if it wasn't so incredibly difficult to stay alive since you can only take a few hits and enemies either swarm you or have nearly inescapable incoming fire. The second boss I got to was so stupidly designed and frustrating I just alt+f4'ed and requested a refund. It was only $2.50 but I'm not giving the dev even a nickle for this late term abortion.
I played hours on a friend PC before to buy it, and this is definitly one of my fav 2017 games.
It's simply awesome, a real challenge + a funny scifi universe + action and level design are awesome,
you always want to play more (thanks to the very effective die and retry system),
this game deserve way mor eattention.
Eliosi's Hunt is a very challenging amazing retro game. Feels a lot like Playstation 1-2 platformers/adventure games!
Since I have completed Jydge and Neon Chrome I have been looking for a good top down shooter. This isn't it. The top down shooter aspect is merely adequate, the feedback is a bit poor and the enemies aren't that fun to fight. It's not horrible in that aspect but it is lacking compared to good top down shooters like Helldivers and Jydge. What really kills this game is its platformer component which just gets in the way of its TDS component. It's just annoying and irritating, I have never really enjoyed platformers with a few notable exceptions but I was desperate for some decent TDS so I compomised and got this. I got to the second level and got stuck on a platforming section. Now I can try to beat it or even look up a tutorial on how to beat it but it isn't worth it because the game is just meh.
If you really like a challenging games buy it, otherwise just skip this.
There's no story at all (indeed there's no dialogue), controls feels strange at first but you can get used, enemies are dumb and less polished than the scenario, usually they just charge at you throwing 1 or 2 things and there are only 5 levels (so buy it on sale).
Beating the game was enought for me, but if you are a perfectionist and wants all the achievements you will have a hard time.
This is one of the worst twin sticks I may have ever played. It's like someone took a bunch of Unreal assets and threw them together into an idea without playtesting. Refunded
Well designed top-view acion platformer. The devs really put a lot of effort into this game and the artists as well.
Getting all the "artifacts" if you will in a level is quite challenging and does require some backtracking with items you get further on in the level.
Anyway 10/10 for 5$ CAD, One of the best bang for your buck deal on Steam right now.
I highly recommend this master piece... The game should cost more than 5 bucks. A really cool Indie game and you should try it. Great graphics and a amazing gameplay. If you are tired of those easy win games, you have to play this.
Great game. Fast paced and really dynamic, Eliosi's hunt successfully preys the player's attention to explore good-looking maps while fighting off enemies. The visuals are as great as the soundtrack, which fit nicely to each stage design. The difficulty and enemies' reactions are at a good level and the search for collectibles is fair and fun. I haven't completed the character's upgrades, but they do add differences in the gameplay, which affects replayability, even more if you're a completionist or a speedrunner. About the controls, they're very responsive and the game feels both fluid and intuitive.
Devs do support the players and are active on forums listening to the players. Price is great and very accessible. Cutscenes with eye-candy 3D models is a big plus in this game as well. Good job, TDZ!
Great game overall! It can be hard sometimes, but it's almost always your fault when you die. I really liked the platform/action mix. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a top down shooter! It gets especially better after the first level.
The upgrading system after each level is simple and to the point. Boss fights are fun.
There're a few problems in my opinion but they're minor and doesn't spoil the overall experience. Such as some foregrounds scene object getting in the visual way too much in a few places.
And the production values such as the cut scenes, the overall game polish and all are far better than expected for this price!
Definitely worth playing. Really enjoyed the campaign, although I believe it could be longer. Still, if you are fan of top down shotter and like trying new games, I definitely recommend it.
OMG! When I saw it was an indie game I wasn't expeting such a professional work! The gameplay is very dinamic and the dwsign is so beautyfull and criative! I love the game, and higly recomed it for everyone!
Very diferent from the top down shooters, pretty cool and fun. Very dificult also. I recomend it!
