Описание

RPG World - Where action RPG begins!

RPG World is an action RPG adventure creator with built-in worlds; ready to be conquered and kick-start your imagination. Solid multi-player means you can battle alongside or against friends and foes with PvP and Co-Op modes. Explore friends worlds and host workshop games and join others games without restriction.

Play

Battle your way through enemies and quests in our pre-made adventures, such as 'The Blight' and 'Mushroom Realm'. Combat is rewarding, learn enemy timings and use 4 special abilities to smash apart your foes. Most world objects are breakable! These worlds amongst others are showcases for what can be crafted in RPG World. We can't wait to play yours!

Create

With a powerful yet easy to use Editor, you can create worlds within RPG World in exactly the way you want to play. We've put together a small starter pack of assets to get you started making your first RPG World levels, and if you want a complete game assets collection at your fingertips you can check out the Creative Pack, or one of the DLCs which add themed assets if you want your adventure set in a specific game environment. You can deform the terrain in real time with modelled pieces or use more traditional terrain tools. Place a building down, decorate the inside with tables, shelves, put items on them, then grab the house and move everything inside it.

World Painter

Get creative and totally change the feel of your worlds by painting its contents. From barrels to houses, let the paint flow!

Tell stories, set quests

Add depth to your worlds by easily dropping in NPCs from the Editor. Create unique quest chains with kill and collect objectives, harder the quests the more XP you or visitors to your world will get! Tell stories with 'Dialog' options. Chose a faction for any character (characters can fight alongside you or against others - create a huge battle and chose if the enemies will fight endlessly until you intervene or actually destroy each other), keys to unlock gates and doors, enemy stash drops - allowing you to have enemies hold the items needed for quests. Quests can chain together and end with a different NPC they started with.

Character Progression and Loot

When you play the games you make or games made by others, you will be able to level up your characters in many ways. You can use the built-in progression skills chart to increase your proficiency in health, stamina, luck and other attributes, or collect loot from fallen enemies to add to your character's inventory to boost your capabilities in combat.

Mounts Available

If you've created a large world, you will want to get around it quickly. You will find a stable of horses, ready for you to mount and ride the length and breadth of the games you create. Choose from simple dusty nags to armor-clad satans of the hoof.

Hub World

Control everything through your Hub World. Create, join, watch tutorials on 'RPG World TV', change your hero character and more, simply by running over buttons or through portals.

Community & Steam Workshop

Run through the Steam Workshop portal in your Hub World to access worlds created by users. Join worlds via the hub world multiplayer portals, and get to know new players with in-game chat. You can even host worlds that come with RPG World, and worlds created by others too.

Free Version restrictions

You can make up to 2 worlds in the Free version, but you can't chain them together to make a game to host on the Steam workshop. If you want to create unlimited games with as many worlds chained together as you want, and then share that game on Steam, you'll need the Creative Pack DLC.

Not what you expect it to be. The combat mechanics which are core gameplay are so poor that you will want to punch your monitor.

Interesting idea - poorly executed. Not sure if that is due to lack of resources or time. Looks like developer is pretty skilled to pull this off but the core things that make the game have completely gone over their head.

Gameplay is on a level of a game-jam. Even some combat mechanics or animations are better out of the box in some engine templates and plugins.

It's what you hope it to be that makes you recommend this game, not for what it actually is. And making excuse that it's FREE TO PLAY that is why it's bad - NO! It's bad - that is the reason why it's Free To Play and the developer probably knows it.

a single-player RPG-maker. its actually pretty fun, and making a world is simple, no scripting needed. it's also easy to make a multi-level campaign. it's sort of dead at this point though.

get it on sale if you want to make your own simple RPG with runescape-esque graphics. could use more decor and buildings, but the custom NPC creator is a nice touch.

This RPG maker has been out for a while.
That being said there are bugs that should have been found
in alpha. Such as the infinite skeleton spawns from bosses.

This prevents a good and fun game. Adding the green skeleton boss will break your maps because it will spawn infinite skeletons.

Pros:
nice concept

Cons:
the bugs

For a time, this project featured some promise, and it's main failings were the same as a lot of these indie 'dungeon-maker' games - lack of customization in enemy stats, appearance, abilities, and behavior. You can only play so many maps before you get tired of fighting the same types of enemies in similar formations. Things were headed in a positive direction when the devs decided to change how respawning worked - a mechanic shift that completely ruined any sort of challenge in these creations and the game as a whole. The person designing the map HAS to be able to control the mechanics within said map, or they really have no say in gameplay at all, and the map becomes little more than window dressing.

There was roughly a year of time where this game was alright and getting better, then it seems like the devs kneecapped the gameplay and ran. At least I won their survey prize, so my copy was basically free.

Strongly not recommended. Fight the Dragon is better, despite also being abandoned.

When I bought this game, was missing a lot of content / polish and also a unclear path......

Right now, I recommend people to try this game. Loads of content, easy to setup just get a few friends and smash enemies is very satisfyingand the loot have great design.

The DEV and working hard and is really impressive to watch all this progress

Very little funtionality. Rather than being a game maker, this is more akin to the level creator in Neverwinter. You can design custom levels and things, but you can't alter the core of the game.

Rather than add functionality that almost all users want, the devs seem to be keen on providing level assets AKA the easiest thing to supply in terms of "content."

Not worth the time/effort/cost.

Update: This dev will also ban you from the forums if you don't like the fact that they have abandoned their game and that it never amounted to more than a bare bones "game" with nearly nothing but prop updates.

To the dev - Ban people and delete their posts all you want, it doesn't hide the fact that your game is bad, your management of said game is bad, and you should feel bad for leaving folks hanging.

I haven't explored every nook and cranny of this engine, but my thoughts on this have already been made up.

Going into this game, I was highly anticpating a full-fledged 3D action RPG Maker game. An RPG Maker where I can edit about as much as I can in any RPG Maker. Nope. There isn't even the slightest editting feature in this game. This is a game, where you grind enemy mobs for loot, complete barebone fetch quests, and that's it. There's nothing more to this game. Why is it called an RPG Maker? Is it because you can place down props on an empty map and call it your own? That's not really an RPG Maker. That's more of a game with a map editor. And that's all this game is. It's a Dark Souls wannabe with a map editor. That's it. While the map editing is fun, although it takes a bit to get used to, because the tutorial information is so bad, after you realize there's nothing you can do with this world, other than add window dressing, the appeal quickly fades. Had this game been made by a bigger studio, we probably would've gotten the 3D Action RPG Maker we always wanted.

Here are a list of things you can do:

Edit a world.
Make a fetch quest.
Change the look of monsters, and add bare-bones editing to their stats.
Pick between 5 or 6 prebuilt classes with their own skills, look, weapons, and loot.
Hard close your game because the game breaks, a lot.
Enjoy lots, and lots of bugs. Game breaking bugs. Progression-breaking bugs. I've had to restart I don't know how many times because the game gets locked in a menu, or black screen.
Use the controller in anyway besides combat. When it comes to navigating the menu screen, you have to use mouse and keyboard. Why?
That's it.

Here's a list of things you cannot do:

Have a buy/sell shop.
Have currency, of any kind.
Edit weapons, armors, items and their stats.
Edit your own character's stats, looks, classes, or skills.
Edit monster stats beyond their hit damage, and how long it takes for them to swing.
Edit loot drops, or the loot themselves.
Make any type of story RPG of any kind, that I can tell.
Play multiplayer, like it advertises, as barely anybody plays this.
Make an RPG of any kind, with this.
Reset your characters back to level 1 when trying new worlds. Everything carries over to every world you pick, whether they be preset, your own, or a workshop world.
Import any music, audio, or visual customization of any kind, that I can tell.
Export your game for others to play. They have to own and log into MyWorld, and download your game from Steam Workshop, in order to play it.
No day/night system.

The video tutorials are also suprisingly minimal, with a voice narrative that you can barely hear. I would think a little better audio recording would be done if this was a game someone was taking seriously. Apparently not.

This is not the action RPG Maker I was hoping it would be, it is a fan's dream that cannot deliver on what everybody wants. The only good thing I'll say is that a lot of work must've went into the props that set the stage for the maps. They are fairly well done. But window dressing alone isn't enough to satisfy my RPG maker thirst. 3/5 stars, only because it's relatively cheap, and I still want to mess around with the world. I recommend only to those who want to play around in a pre-built world, while adding a few window-dressing elements of your own imagination. I don't recommend to those who want deep customization features like that of RPG Maker. This is a game with a map editor. That's about it.

Correction: I said the game was a month away from release. It isn't. I read the release date wrong on the store page, thinking it was 2018, not 2017. This is still Early Access. I don't know what more they plan to add or change, but I hope it's a lot, and I hope it's soon. I hope they listen to the fans. I am a big fan of what this game could be, but right now, it's still iffy.

Update August 2019: It's almost been a year since I last reviewed this. I tried to log back in. Apparently my world is gone. Yay! Don't know what happened. And judging by the news section of this developer there hasn't been anything new, added, or changed since December of last year.

Pros
-game tries to mimic diablo and Dakr souls combat (it's a weird combination)
-fairly basic creator (easy to understand and possibly master)
-deicent loot drop system
-PVP and co-op

Cons
-game camunity is practically dead in the EU and UK
-you can't make a variety of quests or stoyies (just go to A, B kill boss at C and win)
-no friendly Ai

How to improve
-lower price tag
-add friendly Ai
-add variety to quest types or level types 9not just got to A, B collect C + D and come back to A to kill E)
-allow us to play with players who don't have it (yes turn this into a game maker)
-allow custom character (player) modifier

6/10 average ONLY BUY ON SALE

I wish there was a sideways thumb...

The game seems like it should be cool at first. Make your own quests, place everything where you want, along with other things. The levelling seems interesting as you go through the pre-made levels. You level throughout everything you do, not just each quest designed.

The thing about this "variety" though is that everything looks the same. Want to be in the future? Too bad, dark ages. Want to have a gothic, castlevania castle? Too bad, dark ages. Heck, it doesn't even have a massive variety for dark ages (and when I say "dark ages" I mean castles, wagons, swords, etc.).

As for progress, well... there is none. As far as I can tell so far, there's no way of adjusting difficulty other than monster toughness. That sounds fine and all, but there aren't many monsters. Getting good gear is frustrating likely due to this. Want bigger chances of gear and xp? Make a level full of bosses (which are easy, except the cheating defence guy). Gear rate still sucks, but at least there may be a chance to get gear for your level. I haven't even figured that out for sure yet.

As for gameplay, it's okay. There's not really any problems, other than a lack of jumping. I mean, come on. We could've made our own barriers. You may say, "Dark Souls has no jumping, just the rolling like this game." That's true, but at least Dark Souls never felt like you wanted it and had level design feeling great. These objects make you want to jump around some. "Oh, a fence, let's jump it!" Too bad. Action man is too lazy.

Other stuff is fine though. Controls outside of fighting, rolling, guarding, attacking, all is pretty good. There also an auto-target button, but it's not always necessary.

Like I said, I wish there was a sideways thumb. Having said that, that would mean I have plenty of negatives in this game's quality, and that doesn't earn a thumbs up.

Oh, and just press ALT-F4 to quit. That damn portal to go through in order to quit has no point in being there. Put it in the damn ESC menu.

This game is exactly what I've been looking for. I used to DM (Dungeon Master) a small D&D group, but as everyone is the group has jobs, families, and other responsibilities we aren't really able to get together like we used to do. With this game, I'm able to make quests and have friends try them out via the Steam Workshop.

This game has a lot going for it and I'm happy that I've supported a group of people that clearly care about the project they are making.

You can craft your own world, story, quests, etc. You can even make your own NPCs and monsters. It's all very easy to learn how to do in a short period of time and really satisfies my need to create and explore what other have created.

I don't ever really leave reviews, but this project move the needle for me. Can't wait to see what else comes from The Game Creators!

This is my first review and i say this is a great game, probably one of the best RPG builders EVER. If you dont have this game you should get it. The first hour of me playing i completed a whole village and after two more hours i completed the second village. It is a very simple builder, everything you need will be on the bottem of the screen, like placing houses, npcs, monsters, Or build your own monster at the top with the Character Creator. You can even publish your game on the Steam Work Shop so other people can play it. its also kid friendly game that everyone can play! So i recommend this game!

I really enjoyed using this at it's current build there is a lot more content then in earlier iterations. Quest creation is simple but very flexible.

I would like to be able to reward the player with items directly from the quest giver as well as the key reward but I love the fact you can fill a building with a with treasure and then specify the key that unlocks it from the quest giver without having to create each individual door. Everything in that building is automatically grouped so you can move the building at will and everything inside moves with it.

I would like the ability to lock the objects so you don't acidentally move the buildings around which happened to me a few times.

Creating a quest is done completly from the NPC which I really appreciate. It's very easy to create challenging quests quickly.

Creating the atmosphere or biome is similar to disney infinity you choose the skybox and that creates the mood for the world.

The character creator allows you to create NPC's and opponents.
you can shape the terrain and also create impressive landscapes by combining preset mountains and landmasses.

Overall it's heading in the right direction as far as simplicity which is no suprise since this is from the same publisher of game guru and FPS Creator another excellent tool.

DLC in an early access game? I can't support such a terrible money scheme and my review stays negative until they stop this.

The game is in early access. That means all content being added should be content for the full game. So why are they locking it behind a paywall, when there isn't enough content as it is and the game isn't even out?

EDIT: They have resorted to updating the game as usual, but now releasing the content as "free DLC" to make themselves look good, despite this content being needed in the base game anyway. Clearly they are just doing this so they look generous but in reality, it's just another update.

EDIT 2: And now the game is free to play! Great, they sell the game with tons of DLC and then make it free, with all the buyers having nothing to show for their money.

It's okay. You can't do much outside of designing your own worlds and put your story in it. Game mechanics are pretty much limited to what the devs made available. So, aside from story and map design, all worlds you can play would feel pretty much the same.
But there is hope yet for more, as it is still Early Access. The devs are quite active, so hopely there would be more good things to come.
I'd give this a score of 3.8 out of 5. I have to deduct a whole point for the premature Egypt-themed DLC release. Hopefully this would not be an ongoing trend, where every single world theme variation would cost you.

This game. It is still in early access. I can clearly see that. I have some +es and -s to write, and explained too. Hopefully it would at least upgrade the gameplay.

Gameplay and looks:
+ Looks nice and fun on first glance.
+ Great idea, making your own world, with quests, all sorts of mobs (mobile entities, both friendly and hostile) and shaping it the way you like it, and challenging other players to like "beat their game".
+ The XP grinding is not for lazy bums, and I like that. (e.g. 4000 xp to level up from level 1 to level 2)
- The default keybinds are a bit tricky. just the WASD and action bar keybinds are fine, as most common games use these as default controls. (e.g. pressing U for talking to quest givers, while E or F is most common in the games I played or used to play for the tricky keybinds.) Personally I use the most common keybinds so I don't have to memorize the controls over and over again.
- Maybe a bit more armour slots will do, instead of just the full armour set, such as a helmet and a chestplate and such, but that is only my opinion.
- And the most important one: It is laggy (the latency is real, and that is not so good when in combat. It also breaks down the fun and feel of the gameplay.)
- You cannot jump. (If it's a puzzle game, I would not mind if the player is unable to jump. Not being able to jump just does not allow you to make a quick getaway when you accidentally pull (draw attention of) a bit too many mobs. In other words: you just have to walk around the whole obstacles.)
- There is no quick menu keybind (Esc, Enter), including "options" and "resume" and "exit world/area" buttons. I was trying to lower some settings to increase the performance of the game, but with no quick options, there is like no way to do it.

Combat and Combat Controls:
+ The mob's damage output is balanced the way it should be. Good job!
- When you attack a mob, you won't automatically lock-on target (facing your opponent so when you run backward or to the side you still face the mob and aim your attacks at it). That is fine, but if you attack a mob, your character does not turn around while attacking when you accidentally slash your way across one or more mobs since your character makes powerful swings, causing you to slash and step forward, causing you to end up slashing about like an idiot, literally exposing your butt to those mobs, so you literally have to stop attacking, walk up against them, and THEN attack them again. This causes you to have (a bit of) trouble with already one mob. The lock-on option does not work properly though (Been slamming that TAB button and still no lock-on target).
- When you look at a mob, or attack it, you cannot see it's stats tooltip (e.g. health, mana/energy, level, buffs, etc. Just the target tooltip).
- The regular attack costs a lot of energy. Maybe so you won't be able to swiftly kill a mob, some way of balance, but I don't know. For me personally it's kind of weird.

Actually I don't know if I actually should recommend it or not, since it is still early access. I just wanted to leave the recommend field blank, because I just can't judge a game while it is still not finished. Feels like judging a book by it's cover, if you understand what I mean. But for now It's probably a no because the gameplay and combat has more -s than +es, though the +es are strong ones.

I don't review alot but this game deserves a big thumbs up in my book.

always wanted to create a RPG with a story quests, a world and easily share it with others?
You can in this game

Create your own enemies/bosses easily with the newly added enemy creator ?
The necromancy top hat wearing goblin is born!

Play endless amounts of community made worlds?
Just check the workshop

I will say I am a little buyest I know little to nothing about coding and I have no intrest in learning it but I always wanted a game that lets me easily create a world filled with quests and it is exactly what the title of the game pitches.

the game is still in early access that always means you gamble your money on something that will never see the light of day but the devs from what I have seen are really active on the forums ready to give you update's and help.

I suggest about the content of the game you look up video's and other reviews so you can form a own opinion since that is very opinion based.

Updated Review:

My previous review is is mentioned below this is my new review of the game.

To start off the art style of this game is simplistic and its something which i can appreciate and its something i prefer but thats just me. The sound matches the atmosphere of the game, there is not voice acting for any NPC or even your main character.

Gameplay wise there are 5 characters or classes you can choose from, 2 damage dealers, 2 tanks, and 1 glass cannon, they have their own set of skills and its very situational when it comes to tanks, so choose wisely.

In terms of Quests you need to download worlds from the workshop to have new quests and experience new worlds. If any of the workshop worlds arent for you then you can make your own world and have your own quests, and the world builder is simple and workable.

So in the end this game is worth buying and spending your time on, so give it a chance and you will end up liking it and the developers are active and help if you have any problems, its an active community, however multiplayer aspect is still to be implemented properly, give it a while and this game will become your casual pleasure over time.

Previous Review:

Well I wanted to give it a good review however there is an issue with my game you see. I bought it and installed it and to my surprise there is absolutely no sound. I tried to look into the settings but my volume option is set to max. I dont know whether its supposed to be like this or its just my game acting up, so far i havent beenn able to find a solutioon to this problem so until this is fixed for me im going to say no to this game.

It started as one of the potentially best games I've seen in a long time.

Sadly, the publishers (GameMakers, behind Gameguru) released it for early access way too early, and then started selling a bunch of paid DLCs left and right with game breaking bugs. They tried to expand in too many different directions as well, so it ended up being a bit lacking in all departments, when it could have been great at a few. When the publishers didn't see a return on their investment as quickly as they expected, they just abandoned the game altogether with no word.

It hasn't had an update in years. To add insult to injury, the game still says its in "early access" - probably to still sell DLCs to people who don't realize that there are no other players.

I purchased Myworld mainly because I really, really like the team behind this. I've been using Gameguru since its launch - before that, I used FPS Creator too - , so when I found out that the craziest mind in the team - Ravey - was behind this project, I just needed to purchase it.

So, after I finished my work (about 6 a.m.) I decided I would give this a try. After making a run in two of the pre-made levels -which are really satisfying, in a weird way -, I went straight to the level editor, thinking about spending some 15 minutes on it before I went to bed. Two and a half hours later, and making a huuuuge effort, I managed to gather up the will to shutdown the program, asking myself what-happened-here.

Let me start by saying that the combat in Myworld looks quite similar to the one found in most new generation RPGs, following the formula of the Dark Souls series, and similar. It's pretty solid, and it works. Can't say much more about it however, as I really dislike DS and similar games - my combat needs to be fast, energetic and franctic - , yet I have faith in that the developers will add several alternatives to it, including different classes of heroes, which they have already confirmed. The environments look great, the art is absolutely original, and there's a whole lot of objects to place, break, place some more, and keep on breaking. There are also several kinds of enemies, each with their own characteristics, including creatures that can't be stunned, and even bosses, one of them a summoner; and a solid waypoint system reminiscent of that found in Gameguru (which I am thankful for).

The editor, well... it's just awesome. There are quite a lot of tools that allow to shape the terrain any way you want, making the ground possibilities almost infinite. A nice assortment of buildings, gates, adornments, and other neat stuff, in a collection of assets that will continue to grow, talking from experience here (Gameguru, remember?). There are some nice background picks out there, and here's hoping for a lot more. But I believe my favourite thing, one that I did not expect and made me spend countless minutes modifying things is... the paint tool. Yes indeed, you can paint your terrain any way you like. Green mountains with reddish stripes, colored with brown moats here and there? No problem! White ground, brown pathway and a surreal pink border crossing the town? Well, why not! A desertic landscape with violet and orange dunes? OF COURSE!!! I believe that is an amazing, incredibly versatile tool that will lead to a whole universe of creations from many different people. And boy, do I hope that they add it to Gameguru too... one can dream, right?

To close up: if you want to make lighter darksoul-ish quick levels, chain them to a whole game, and play them with your friends, family, neighbours and whoever you want, then this is the software for you. TGC has been working in the game creation industry for quite a while now. They have experience, they deliver, and they keep their promises, always listening to what the community has to say. Speaking of which, if this community gets to be half as good as Gameguru's one, it will be just awesome. I absolutely recommend this game, and can't wait to spend my breaks building levels, testing them, and sharing them.

Suggestions: 1- the quest editor needs two more things: conditions (needed to take this quest) and rewards. 2- a little more variety in friendly characters. We need a town marshall, a priest, a jailer... you know, the typical medieval types. 3- flying enemies would not be bad at all. 4- some sounds are a little stale, mainly the character's sword. Do you accept collaborations? 5- Modular buildings. Oh, yeah.

And finally, a message for Ravey... WHERE'S MAH JINGLE PACK???

Keep it up guys ;)
