a nice game with a mixof tower defense and space shooter is a bit grindy since you have to kill a lot of enemies to get money to upgrade your spaceship but it made it quite adictive

The game is a kind of tower offense game like Space Run.

In addition to a number of building sites for towers that can be destroyed during a mission, but are available again afterwards, we have our main gun with which we aim at the enemies via mouse. Unfortunately, the game quickly becomes more difficult, which leads to grind. Fun, but only for half an hour a day. Nothing I play through in an afternoon.

However, I like the idea and those who have already played Space Run will get along well here.

Everyone else better buy it in the sale for some cent.

An amateurish, lifeless, and underdeveloped action tower defense game with lousy production values, crude quality of content, and severe unbalancement.

Positive:
- Experimenting with the different guns and weapons is sufficiently interesting, although there is not much of an arsenal to try. The player will eventually come across a combination of guns they deem to be effective and stick with them, for the most part.
- Pixel art is generally tasteful and representative of the 16-bit era, fulfilling the aesthetic of being equally pleasing to the eyes, as well as nostalgic to the memories.

Neutral:
- The primary focus of the game is in grinding for different currencies to be spent on upgrades. The player is encouraged to replay levels as many times as necessary in order to accumulate more spendable resources to upgrade systems and weapons.
- Audio design is bare-bones, but reasonably effective. Lasers, bombs, and missiles sound as one should expect, and explosions express the familiar aural associations with pyrotechnics. The available ambient music comes in very abbreviated loops, which makes the short tunes very repetitive.
- There is a very small variation of enemies to encounter, and they will repeat throughout the brief campaign. Ranging from tiny ships to relatively larger bombers, all adversaries are standard representations of the most banal science fiction standards, exhibiting nothing interesting in terms of weaponry or ship design.
- Performance is solid, staying at a constant 60 frames per second, which cannot be altered. Even though the frame rate is not very high, it still allows for a smooth and fluid clicking and aiming of the mouse on the screen, as well as a comfortable navigation through the menus.

Negative:
- Options or settings are extremely limited. One may change the volume of the music and of the sound effects, and switch between full screen or windowed modes. The latter does not work properly, as clicking on "full screen" or "windowed" is simply a toggle. These selections do not actually apply a change in relation to their button titles. This means that the game may be windowed while the full screen option is selected, and vice versa.
- Unequipping, or selling the weapons in order to test different gun configurations does not return the original currency investments back to the player. Selling anything back loses whatever currency was necessary to install it in the first place, causing the player to waste time and grind for the money to be spent again, which had already been collected to begin with.
- Dialog popups appear and block huge sections of the screen, obstructing the player's view from the action that is taking place simultaneously with the plot and story exposition. This visual interruption is misplaced and prevents the player from focusing on the action that matters.
- There are major, numerous, and frequent, grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation errors throughout the writing present in the game. Despite not adding substance or anything of value to the overall presentation, the written text is a linguistic abomination that should have been excluded from existing in its unacceptable form.
- Previously upgraded systems cannot be downgraded for a refund of currencies. The only way to go back to starting upgrade levels of systems is to begin a new game.
- The last level is totally unbalanced to the point of it being broken. There does not seem to be any combination of weapons to mitigate the onslaught of enemy ships. This is especially the case if one has upgraded their playable ship to be fast, as this empowers enemies to enter the screen much more quickly and abundantly, overwhelming the player without any real chances to win.

Overall rating: 2.5/5.0

Terrible last level, you cannot beat it with any combination I can find and this appears borne out by others reviews. All missiles, all green beams, using EMP, etc. By the third wave the enemies chew your lasers off and feed them to you.

Lots of potential, I hope the creator adds more content. Needs some simple descriptive indicators like the use of the special weapons are the numbers on your keyboard and the upgrades use a different currency. Here's hoping for new ships and a smoother game. I didn't really like having to hold down fire all game and directing the main cannon like I'm a gunner instead of the captain.

This creater could make the next big and addictive indie game if they just commited to a few simple UI and UX tricks as well as addictive gameplay techniques. If you're reading this no-one cares about the dialogue, keep the story simple and work on the presentation.

besides the fact that its pretty much unbeatable in its current state its still a really fun game worth the $.40!

The first few minutes are fun.. and then it gets tedious fast.

Not enough explanation of what the turrets or upgrades do.
The difficulty curve is very jagged from level to level. Have to grind it out to get upgrades (that you are not sure what they do!)

Actual playtime on this one was perhaps a few minutes, the rest was from farming the trading cards.

I kinda like the concept of the game, but I feel like it isn't executed very well here. If the main cannon of a "A Class Battleship" can't even one shot a scout ship one hundreth the size of said battleship something must be very wrong somewhere. Hell, the laser blast was maybe five times the size of said scout ship!

Got obliterated on the first level, bought a single laser turret with the money earned and proceeded to get obliterated again in almost the same spot. I guess I should've done side missions or something, or maybe I was actually supposed to grind the first level until I had enough money and energy for a proper setup of guns. Didn't really care enough to find out.

Some immediate observations which made it feel not worth my time:
- The back button in the settings menu was partially offscreen
- At least some of the upgrades were missing their currency/power symbols or whatever was required to purchase them
- Enemy ships were so tiny it took me maybe ten seconds to even realize they were there
- Main cannon (the only cannon you can control?) felt so underpowered, it actually made me frown in disappointment
- The gameplay I encountered immediately upon entering the game (first five minutes or so) just wasn't fun

Maybe if it was free I wouldn't feel so strongly about this, but as a game sold for real money (not much money, but still) it just didn't live up to my expectations. Overall it feels like a quite polished game jam game, which isn't nearly enough.

Very nice game - the first 5 levels - then there is level 6 - the try to make a much too short game look more difficoult and longer, but it is just an overthrow of enemys to make it unbeatable.

you got three tipes of weapons as support turrets, each partet in two subcategorys that can be upgraded three times again.
beside this there are 4 special weapons, with also two different tipes each - rocket swarm or big torpedos in the middle of the ship and emp OR laser beam and shield OR guided rockets.
An other thing you can upgrade is your HQ, engine, generators and your main turret that is controled by you.

But you gain the money or alluminium for upgrade much too fast and the amount of upgrades is absolutely too small, so sadly, this game is a good idea / nice clone, but it does not reach a very good level of fun...

My money was stolen from me.

Mind you its not very much money, but the fact is pushing a patch with incompatible dlls to take the game away from me after recieving my money is unacceptable.

If its only flaw was that the developer didn't know about an obscure 10 year old flash game called Orbital Decay that executed the same concept much better I could have still recommended it just to support a small indie dev. As it is, I'll be keeping my eye out for these guys for a very different reason.

The game is kind of short and repetivtive, but for it's price, I really recommend it!
You will surely get at least 1 hour of gameplay, which is somewhat impressive for a title this simple.
The graphics and sounds are okay, the gameplay feels balanced, and the customization and battles are really well designed.
Overall, I'd give it a 8/10

It's not a bad game, it's just a bad PC game. If it were a two dollar mobile game, you might be able to overlook the annoying sound effects, crummy visuals, terrible UI and complete lack of tutorial. Did I mention boring enemies? Or weak selection of boring weapons?

Somehow its just a cheap copy of "Orbital Decay" (free flash game).
Weapons and upgrades dont show any stats(like range or anything), not even sure if the tractor beam is supposed to do any damage...
I liked Orbital Decay better, wished there was a sequel, but this is a bad implementation of the game concept.

It´s cheap, okay, but it didnt yield me much fun except the anticipation of a payed (implicating better) game being more fun and worked out. Anticipation quickly dissipated, what kept me playing until just before the end was the hope of it having something good that I didnt encounter yet.

It was a way of killing time, but the fun/cost ratio is just 1/1, neither good nor bad.
What´s the negative is the time invested playing could had been invested elsewhere more rewarding.
The game is okay, but it´s a shame the Devs invested so much work and didnt give the game the last polish to make it fun. It´s probably just details missing.

The game is fun but short. My only major gripe with it is that the difficulty curve is pretty easy for most of the game with only one or two attempts at each level needed... until the last level. Then, possibly for lack of more content the difficulty is turned up to impossible. There are no more upgrade options left for my weapons and I've tried a number of configurations on the ship (all lasers looks cool but the game slows down to a crawl with them all firing).

For what it is I'm happy to have paid 99p in the sale, its just a shame it doesn't go on for longer with a few more interesting options. I'm reccomending this purely on the fact that I enjoyed the 1.5 hours I spent on it but I probably won't be playing it again.

I enjoyed the game, but I finished it in less than an hour ....... if you could play through from planet 1 to planet 6, or there was more to do, I would say it is a good game.
Unfortunately, a game where you have kinda done everything in under a hour.... is a bit disappointing.
Having never played it, to unlocking almost all the upgrades and finishing the game in 40-50 min …. Too short, far too short. Not a lot of replay value either as there is nothing else you need to unlock, no need to change your weapon layout …. Pitty, as it was fun for the short while.

This is a very fun game. It is a little grindy but somewhat worth it. I bought this game 2 days ago and am only on the fourth level. The rounds are hard to progress through unless you play the levels before. Comic Dust and Rust is a pretty graphicly invloved game so it would be nice to a future update with graphic conrol. Overall, this game is very fun and is great for being in it's early stages. I can't wait for future updates! Would recomend for friends. Also needs to be more clear on the story, what guns do and the beifits to using them as well as the downsides. Please fix the frame rate issue

nice game, quick and small, took less that 2 houres to get to what i expect to be last level (the 6th planet)
at which point it felt impossible to beat the game, lag was pretty heavy if you a ship full of tractor beams on max level, but it also seems the best option, tho it cant beat the last level :D

gg for 2 quick houres of entertainment, at 1.30 euro, certainly worth it :D

This is a rather fun tower defence game where you control a big ship and fight off a bunch of small ships. Its challenging and satisfying and plays similarly to the the browser game "Orbital Decay", which is quite a good thing. There are a couple minor problems (spelling errors and somewhat repetitive sounds) and one major issue: In the later levels with more enemies and more advanced turrets the game tends to slow way down to about half its normal speed and stay that way regardless of what happens on the screen until you return to the menus. This leads to much slower and less fluid gameplay as well as surprisingly long breaks in the action. This really needs to be fixed before I wholly reccomend the game. The only other thing I can really say is that its really short (only seven or eight levels) and could probably be completed in an hour or two.
