Шаман сказал: “Пламенная Слеза выжжет землю и сотрет жизнь – скоро”.
Шаман сказал: “Здесь остается смерть. Где-то – ожидает жизнь”. Племя идет. Большой Переход.
Tribal Pass –

Never thought I'd be so casual with cannibalism. Then I played this game! Laughed my butt off when I got an achievement for NOT eating anyone in a level, without the game acknowledging that I achieved it because I ate half the tribe in the previous level to buff up my food supply.
Fuck history class, we need more of this
Utterly crazy.

Tribal Pass is yet another of several hundred, if not thousands of low effort endless runners plaguing Steam.
Like all endless/autorunners, you're moving and you can't stop. All you can do is avoid the obstacles coming at you in this incredibly shallow shovelware game. But there's a bit of a difference here as the game features a couple of different mechanics... which, while novel, don't actually improve anything in the old, dead formula. What differences? Instead of a single runner, you control a group of tribesmen (and a special "shaman" who holds all the "xp", if he dies that's reset). You split the tribesmen, which has a couple of effects... it influences whether animals will be afraid of you or not, and it pushes tribesmen into different lanes... there's obstacles like bridges and so on, and your tribesmen need to be aligned to those lanes. Likewise there's bushes and animals and you have to ensure your tribesmen hit them to gather stuff.
Speaking of gathering, there's our second gimmick... a food counter. If that runs out, you die, so you need to gather food. You do this by first aligning you tribesmen through the "split/join" mechanic, and you also need to equip a tool to do it. There's 5 different tools for different pickups/hazards, like torches so you can see at night, empty hands to gather berries, a spear to kill deer things for meat, and so on.
Again, it's a gimmick that makes this more than your average endless runner, but it doesn't make it any better or more fun. Let's get into the technical defects.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Tribal Pass didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for finishing the tutorial, trivial to get, but less than 13 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, and isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 13 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother engaging with this game? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game.
That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with little merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
So, should you buy this game?
Tribal Pass has the insane price of around $7 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. For comparison, the $7 asking price for this game could get you games like "Portal 2", "Fallout 4" or "DOOM". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
✅Interesting game in which we play the role of a shaman whose task is to lead his people to a new place of residence.
✅Well done pixel art
✅Day and night mode
✅You have to be creative
✅Possibility to choose the route
✅Easy controls
➖Flies eat a lot of food in large numbers
A boring 15-minute game where cavemen run around and destroy everything in their path, and when they run out of food, they eat each other.
This is a fun little running game with a twist, but it is still just a runner.
---
Instead of being a single person running in a direction, you're the entire tribe.
Screen moves in one direction (running down, screen moves up with your group at the top facing down). You have controls for changing the formation of your group into different running channels and what weapon/tool they have in their hands. You have to collect food (by changing group formation and/or tools) and avoid obstacles while also managing food and group size while some people die and new recruits are brought in. Survive with at least some tribe members and you pass the day and carry on to the next landscape to run through.
Complete enough days and you unlock another campaign "story" (not that there's any real story beyond "we run that direction to survive, follow the shaman")
It requires some quick thinking, sacrifices to be made, and a little luck to overcome some of the random layouts that don't always provide enough food. Compared to other runners you're making quick tactical formation and weapon decisions rather than making turns or jumps.
---
Bottom line: It can be a fun little time waster, but it is ultimately still just a runner.

A runner game (ala Temple Run) with a rock, paper, scissors twist. Simple and with character. It was a blast.
A very simple game, but addictive with a neat visual style and a decent bit of challenge. Think an infinite runner mixed with the resource management and map travel of Oregon Trail. I paid $4.79 and feel happy with what I'm getting for the price of a burger or two.

GRAPHICS - ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
''Tribal Pass'' is a pixel-art runner game. While it have a good colour variation its not pretty beautiful even for a game that's made with Unity.
MUSIC - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
The same sound loop going over and over again. (And not even a good one...)
STORY - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
The Earth gets destroyed from a asteroid and a shaman and his tribesmen must run trough the villiages to save the world. Well thats what the first and only 30 second ''cut-picture'' will tell you about anything which is about a ''story''
GAMEPLAY - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Tribal Pass is a runner game. You running down with a couple of tribesmen and need to split them while running or chance if they got nothing in their hands to pick up berries or speers to hunt animals. Thats everything.
You probably guessed right that a game that can be summarized in one sentence will also be just making fun for one playtrough. And thats the case with this game. It functions and I respect every dev for making their own games but this one is just so terrible mediocre that you will be better off playing every other Steam Game under 5€ which is on Sale right now.
WORTH BUYING - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
If you want to play a runner game than there a two options. 1) Go on your smartphone and play one of the 10000000 runner games on it or 2) Go on a harsh search for a good runner game on steam. Unfortunately Tribal Pass is not such a good game - just a sandcorn in the sahara of games that will never be picked out and surely will be forgotten when time chances. This game will bring you a maximum of 1 hour of fun.

Tribal Pass is quite enjoyable, however with a price tag of £5.19 it just isn't worth it. Although the mechanics are sort of well thought out the game does not do a good job of telling you what to do in different situations. This lead to me trying to decode what just happened when I picked up some cavemen on the way at one campfire, only to then have half my squad wiped out at the next. This could be good if there were some obvious hints, but there isn't really, and if you're accidently doing something and you don't know what it is then it can be very confusing. Overall its alright, but not worth the price tag, if its on sale then go for it though.
It's an okay game that can entertain for a while. It gets repetitive rather quickly though. Worth giving a shot, especially if you can get it at a nice discount.
Welcome to Tribal Run: A Tactical Runner with its own unique gameplay. It is unlike any other game in the genre. You are the Shaman who must lead your people to a safe area before the sky fire destroys your village. Along the way, you are faced with many dangers. From wild animals, rivers, fire, insects, quicksand, and others things that will kill off your tribe if you do not lead them in the proper formations. There is no stopping during your march across the lands, you must march forward ordering your people to change formation to avoid danger & collect much-needed food till nightfall, or your people will die off fast.
Released in later August 2016 by a collaboration of developers, including Tribe Tea, Stas Shostak, Evgeniy Yudin, Alexzander Protasenya, and Ruslan Viter and published by Stas Shostak. It is tagged as a Difficult, Action, Adventure, Runner, Indie title. The game holds up to the difficult tag, it will take a little time to get used to the mechanics of the game. The gameplay is fairly simple, using just your mouse to control the tribe's formations and the 1 thru 5 keys to control actions for the tribe. The game does have controller settings in the launcher even though controller support is not listed for the game. There is also a Leaderboard; Do you have what it takes to make it to the top of the list?
I would recommend you start with the Tutorial and get the basics of gameplay learned before you start the Single Run. Once you have the basics down it is time to play your first game. You will have a choice of multiple routes to get to the new grounds that your people are to call their new home. Along with choosing to run at night or day, day runs cost you needed food, so choose wisely. There are various Tokens you can enable at the start of your second level to help give you a little advantage. There are multiple language settings: EN, RU, ZH, EU, ES, PT, FR, IT. So you are able to read the dialog in your native language. Once you beat the Single Run, you will unlock the Big Pass gameplay, which varies from the Single Run. For Big Pass, you work to move all the people from your village as fast as possible before they starve to death. The balance of your resources become very critical in this game style.
With well-done Pixel Graphics, great sound effects and unique gameplay, for the asking price it is a nice little indie title to add to one's library. There is a medium replayability for the title. Though the title really is not very long. With unlocking the second play style and multiple routes for both the game styles, these options will give you continued play for a while. For you achievement hunters, the game has 14 achievements with most of them unlocking during normal gameplay, you can 100% them fairly easily.
I had a rather hard start with the game myself. After about 30 minutes of trial and error, I got a good grasp on the gameplay and was able to beat the Single Run for my first time and unlock the Big Pass. It was very satisfying when I beat it for the first time. I am currently trying to finish the Big Pass, as promised the game is Difficult. But I will finish this title one way or another. I am having fun playing, even when I get annoyed at my misclicks from time to time. I may cuss and rage at times, but my goal is obtainable as I continue to get used to the flow of the game. My worse problem with the game is the night play, I am half blind, half deaf & half crazy :P and games with a lot of darkness give me a harder time playing them. Though it does not stop me in the least from playing my heart out still. I will stop gaming when they pry my cold dead fingers from the keyboard LoL.
Now is your time to decide. Can you lead your people to safety?

A tactical runner?
Oh, well..
A nice indie one! :)
This game's premises are quite simple - you've got to collect food for your tribe (hence the original name of the game, simply entitled The Tribe, but that's another story) in order not to let it die, through the days.
With its nice retro graphics, you'll be able of course to make many actions to get your goal. You'll be required to kill enemies in order to get food, but you'll also be able to pick up from the ground berries and such.
With the left mouse button, you'll split your tribe in half - the tactical elements are quite nice - and in other halves, in order to avoid obstacles (you'll have for instance to cross rivers in selected numbers) and prehistorical enemies, get some food, kill enemies and so on in a different way. With the right mouse button you'll be able, always in a runner environment, to reunite the tribe again.
As I was saying, the basic controls are linked to keyboard buttons and apart from hunting animals and grabbing resources you'll also be able to light torches to see through the night (endless runner from day to night of course xD) or even increase your fellow tribesmen (if you've got enough resources). Sometimes, it will also be needed to kill some of your characters in order not to have too many guys around you and save resources.
I really liked the graphics and the historical environment, and also the changes from night to day and the different challenges with torches and so on, lighting up around you or scaring enemies and such.
And I also liked a lot the user interface - the buttons you can press are clearly shown in the upper side of the screen, and since the game won't ever get too fast you'll always manage somehow to balance food, "population" and the actions you'll have to do.
The main issue of such a game of course relies in its replayability - being an indie title, it's not that long and when you have explored every part of the game (the environments, the enemies, your actions, the night/day system, the point system after each day etc.) you're basically done. There's nothing more, and you need to love "endless" games in order to fully enjoy this title.
Still, for some hours it's a solid indie game and it adds some new and nice things greatly blended in the game setting. The options may be limited, but it's worthy to explore them all and build some levels :)
I didn't see a lack of tactical elements, as someone pointed out. You've got to manage lots of resources, to keep eyes on your tribesmen dying, to choose between spears, hands or torches, to split up and reunite your tribe and to get through the night to the other side of the map.
It's not that easy, but it's somehow addicting for many hours. The lack of a proper plot and, more than all, real trophies and accomplishments to obtain of course is something that goes against this title - it's just endless, without a real ending or even bosses or such. But the developers themselves said that it was supposed to be as it is, and in my view it's a very nice title. Tactical, endless and runner :P
I forgot to say something about the soundtrack, which matches the prehistorical environment but it's not that great - probably, the 2€/$ for the OST and the artwork aren't greatly spent if you don't get them as a gift or in some bundles, since they include only few musical tracks (extremely short, 15 minutes in total or even less) and all the game artwork, which is good in-game but has little use outside of it.
I think that if you like survival games based on an endless and somehow "tactical" engine, this one is a great game. It's for sure worth a try even if you're not into this genre, since it's greatly made (ok, just some spelling errors I think, I played only in English) and everything (tutorial included) works perfectly, as the developers wanted Tribal Pass to be.
The lack of upgrades/bonuses too doesn't help for the replayability issue, but still it's worth it in my opinion. I think you'll like it, you just have to be prepared and read something about it since the game will offer you everything you're reading here (I hope) and in other players' way better reviews than mine.
You won't find many surprises in the endless night/day levels but still there's plenty of options and everything works perfectly, I didn't find bugs of any sort.
I read many early access reviews, but fortunately now (and when I played it) is fully available and so don't worry about anything - if you like these premises you'll be addicted for some hours, just give yourself half an hour to fully understand the mechanics.. and have fun :)
There is splitsecond decision making and some tactical elements I suppose but it just never triggers the FUN switch in the brain. I gave it a shot and played about an hour and I just did NOT have any fun whatsoever. Making good plays does not feel rewarding and failing just feels whatever.
There are many way better 1 euro games.
Really nice game, and nice developer too.
The gameplay is simple but well developed. It has a micro component (commanding your tribe across the land) and a macro component (plan ahead the amount of food you'll use and people you'll need).
You learn by trying and losing, and although guides would come in handy, you're intended to figure out the mechanincs by yourself (and the author won't spoil you much about how to deal with X or Y), so bear that in mind. I'm not a smart player when it comes to trial and error; I find the lack of guides about game mechanics a bit frustratig but hey, it's completely fair.
Very good game, recommended.
Vale a pena a compra.
Nota 6.9/10 (Sou bastante crtico vai por mim.)
;D
Very fun given the overall small size of the game. If there weren't so much pixel blood I'd recommend it for children, but isn't overwhelming for a young teen. I bought it on sale and would rate 4/5 because they seemed to really stretch on making it more adult for no reason at all. The game could have benefited from a little more explanation of the obstacles, but wasn't too hard to figure out that pretty much everything kills you or steals your food lol
It's nowhere as epic or difficult as it is described. Once you know what to do for each obstacle, it becomes easy and repetitive. I've seen flash games with more depth than this. I am refunding.
Since someone asked, I'll put this here.

Its a nice game with an interesting concept. You have a tribe which constantly travels downwards. You can split and join them into a group of one, two or much more. Also you can choose to arm your people with spear, torches or bare hands. You will have to adjust your strategy quickly, for example, a large group with spears will scare off deers whereas a small one will manage to hunt it. On the contrary, if you meet a group of other people, you really should have a large group, or they will kick your ass. Overall, the game is fun, but it has some cons. It is not always easy to understand how to split your group to get a specific resource (Is it on the 7/8 of the screen? Should I split into 8? or 9? ), and you can kill everyone very easiliy by making a single mistake. The price tag is low, buy it and try it.
A very simple game, but addictive with a neat visual style and a decent bit of challenge. Think an infinite runner mixed with the resource management and map travel of Oregon Trail. I paid $4.79 and feel happy with what I'm getting for the price of a burger or two.
Cozy neat visuals and funny gameplay! A bit too hard for a runner, sometimes I don't really understand what's happening. Fed some fishes with half of the tribe in a first level - got the "Mass Bathing" achievement - funny as hell!:)
The cool part - giving your guys some spears and torches and let them pick berries. Don't get ther sacrifice part so far, but getting along without magic quite well to be honest.
To sum up, quite a fun, hopefully the devs will get more stuff and modes in release version, especially endless mode: I want a lot LOT LOTS of people and kill pterodactyls.
I was really looking forward to playing this game, and for the first 45 minutes it was fun. But it gets really repetitive quite fast as it's always the game enemies (understandable), and you have to go through this chat dialogue everytime you past the round, sometimes having a quest kind of thing (wish I found annoying to read as of the way it's worded). And once you past the first game, you move onto the real thing in which you have 50 days to complete (didn't say what the 50 days was four) so you end up repeating the same thing over and over and over to finish those 50 days.
This is more of an opinion, as I don't normally write reviews and don't know how to do them.
