Awesome game, the basics are simple enough to quickly master but then there is a mountain of detail and strategy awaiting the intrepid gamer. Satisfying mechanics and balance for any strategy gamer, or anyone who has enjoyed auto-battlers like Autochess or tower defence games. A refreshing take on both genres, addictive and overall a great game with a lof of ongoing support and development from the studio.
Well-crafted strategy game with real depth and an enjoyable learning curve
This game is made by a small studio and is stable, well-maintained with love put into it - and it shows.
Absolutely recommend this game for anyone to pick up if you're into autobattlers and/or strategy games and are looking for an unique experience.
Best tower defense game i have ever played, plenty of modes and strategies and it doesn't have a pay to win system, I played it back in gameranger, I see they kept a couple of Og buildings and mercenaries, so many memories..
game is fun its just like you remember from warcraft 3 and its also got some new twists monthly updates healthy community if you like tower defense/auto battlers this is for you
If you like Tower Defense games, you will like this one 100%. You and your team build units to defend against waves, so they do not reach your king.
You must manage your economy to build better defenses and have stronger offense. What would be the offense? Well, in this game you can send mercenaries to the enemy team to make a wave stronger and try to break their defense and attack their king, but also you gotta defend against the mercenaries the enemy team sends you.
There is also a mechanic where each wave has a type and the units you build have a type as well. This is very important to keep in mind because a type can be effective against another type, so you get to learn and play around this. Decide when to make risky moves when types are good for you, or buy more units to make a stronger army in case you have a bad defense against a wave type.
Very good strategy game. I have my hours in and still learning new things. The game is still receiving consistent updates too. I recommend it.
bad game, not really much depth and replayability here.
Super fun + co-op - What else can you ask for?!!!
It's Squadron TD from Starcraft 2, but better.
It's super easy to pick up games with fast matchmaking and a big community. Classic mode is a ton of fun, and you can play both solo and with friends. Big recommend, trying out cheesy builds is endless fun
balance is bad, ai gets bonuses that players cant get.
i have had ally ai get 32 workers when i can only get 12 with the same defense ability numbers
im not a leaver so im forced to play hours long game modes what i dont like. latest patch is very bad, makes me uninstall this game and dont come back for the next few years.
用钱买的游戏,里面还有微交易,而且商店的东西贵死,要一直肝
While the game has some good points, once you get to a certain point in multiplayer you have to contend with Fiesta, which is deeply not-fun. Without that mastermind this would be a lovely little game. With it, it's not worth playing. Would not recommend anyone play this for anything other than the single-player content; your efforts to learn how to play the game well will be utterly in vain once you run into the "uno reverse card" that is Fiesta.
very fun mucho nice, toxic community tho
Just like the old Warcraft 3 Funmap but even far better. Super nicely balanced Races, Ranking System, Tactics and Placement of Units feel good.
10/10 would buy again. Campaign is nice for what a Campaign could be in such a Game.
The game has solid mechanics but could use a bit more love related to new units and maybe mercenaries
Solid stand alone of the classic WC3 custom game still going strong. Even at 1am I was able to find a 4v4 match in under 2mins
This game is just a complete waste of time. It feels rushed and unpolished, with clunky controls, repetitive gameplay, and no real sense of progression. The graphics are outdated. I kept hoping it would get better, but it never did. On top of that, the matchmaking is the worst I’ve ever seen. It constantly throws you into unbalanced games, pairing you with teammates who clearly don’t belong at your skill level. Most matches feel doomed from the start. Save yourself the frustration and skip this one.
Great game can use animation and visual updates
In the running for best tower defense game on the market. I have yet to see a tower defense game with such dynamic gameplay.
If this game had proper marketing, it would undoubtedly be one of the most popular tower defense games out there. I cannot say enough good things about the game.
I will admit there is a bit of a stiff learning curve if you didn't play legion td 1. It has similar mechanics to autochess games such as hearthstone and Teamfight tactics in that there is a build phase and econ.
Only improvement I could advocate for is a game mode that is longer than 21 waves (technically infinite now, but games never last past 23/24). This may come with a growing playerbase though.
Really fun for strategizers. All the campaigns, included the dlcs, gave me many hours of enjoyment. So satisfying to finally beat a tough npc opponent with cheats. I have yet to play multiplayer.
Hero Defense - PvP
Joguinho equilibrado, leve e rápido
very addictive and polished game
Very much a refined version of the old custom games from starcraft etc. Worth giving a shot. Not pay to win but there is microtransactions geared very much towards tossing some more money to the devs.
great game based on a sc2 map. active community, regular updates. sc2 custom community has largely moved on but this game retains some of the glory days of starcraft ums.
amazingly fun game. really dynamic each game. endless hours of fun
One of the best td games you can find. Learning curve is kinda tough at the beginning but there is so much you can do in this game that your never gonna run outta strats and dumb things to do anyway. 10/10
Game is sick. I love it but I suck even after hundreds of hours.
Despite simple premise and seemingly repetitive nature, despite not having some huge game-altering limited time events (there are modifiers though), this game is unexpectedly replayable when playing with friends.
It has nice features like
- Single player campaigns to learn the basics.
- Gimmicks such as clans and cards, some players may appreciate the reward system made by devs.
- Tons of detailed (albeit sometimes strange) information that is collected about each game, that can later
be viewed to improve.
- Helpful UI, so the player should not remember everything to make a correct decision.
As with all of the indie games, the development of new features and units can sometimes feel slow compared to AAA projects, but I don't know many AAA projects that are actively developed after release for as long as this game is.
However, there is a list of things I want to see in the future, such as:
- more diverse (and more radical) modifiers in classic, that underline the co-op nature of this game. Like swapping my units with the units of my ally each couple turns. Or adding random numbers to several values,
like unit price, wave unit count, etc. Maybe some mode where all units are sold each wave and everyone is chaos, that would be chaotic and fun) I would also enjoy pathfinding modifiers (for example, make enemy units go to other player field if any minions present there, or let just one of two players to build on mid while send all units to one of the players, to emulate echelon-based defence. Maybe even create a mode, where the goal is not to save the king, but to accumulate some amount of gold before your enemy, and wave units that reach the king are just teleported on enemy lines so enemy can loot them for gold.
I know such modifiers are painful when it comes to balancing them, but they are worth it,
- Probably some modifiers that affect the game but cannot be predicted from the start of the game. For example, the weather, that you can see for the next 3 waves (near the wave units) and that can inflict slow, DOT, and specific damage type multipliers for your and enemy units. This would keep the players constantly adapting.
- Map change modifiers - Adding interactive things to the map can be fun. Like adding an immovable aura tree, or pond/rock that requires enemies to avoid it, etc. If you heard of Entropy TD you know what I mean.
- More unit synergy types. There is a tree of life that affects the unit built behind it. It would be cool to have units that affect units that are positioned in some way relative to the unit in question in combat. Like shield that absorbs ranged attacks aimed at units that are currently behind it. Or some bouncing buff that only affects one unit and is forever lost if that unit dies while being buffed (that would allow for insane mindgames if the player calculates when each of their units will die and the bouncing process is deterministic). Maybe some t6 unit that can gain control over 1 of the wave units.
- Some relative statistics. Like how much have you lost to a particular enemy player and how much you've won them. In case it will result in increased amount of leavers, then ignore this idea. But if it won't, this would be a cool gimmick to make enemies feel less like a random people, and more like opponents that you are familiar with. This will also encourage people to search each other's tactics and use that knowledge against their enemy, driving the desire to innovate and be unpredictable.
Mutlipayer with friend is a Super fun. no diddy
Legion TD 2 is an amazing game. In ways its very similar to the old school Warcraft 3 version, Which i very much enjoy. However they have tweaked and added a new style on it making it more strategic with how you build. Very fun, Highly recomend, and encourage you give it a try. Currently iv'e played over 800 hours since i bought it, which wasn't very long ago.
Great game. Can be a little difficult to learn placement early on but tutorial helps a lot. Highly recommend giving it a try
This game is a great. I've got a few hours on record, so I'm a bit biased, but the developers have put a lot of love into this game.
Have been playing this game very competitively for around 2 years. Was Top 3 for a season, now I'm more mediocre after a long hiatus. Now playing it on and off every other week, so I could say that I got some experience with the game itself.
Pros:
- Jules (Dev) is super down to earth, listens to feedback and tries his best to get the best results based on data.
- Game is very complex. Units are added every other patch, so complexity is rising.
- Regular balance patches.
- A very dedicated community.
- For the money you pay, you'll likely be busy for a while, especially if you like strategic PvP games.
Cons:
- While the community is dedicated, it is also very small. Means, you'll likely find the same people over and over again once you hit a certain point in the game. This can be good and bad, but I would see it more as a downsite as different opponents is what helps players improve. More competition means more improvement, more diversity in playstyles and so on. Additionally, if you get someone that doesn't like you, it can be the case that they'll waste the next 20-50 minutes of your time, depending on how long the game goes.
- Despite the constant balance patches, the meta feels kind of stale. This started a good 2 years ago or longer. People got very good and efficient in the way they build. A lot of RNG has been erdicated (which is great!), so a lot comes down to who can spam the most workers early game and/or generate a lot of income, resulting in the game becoming a income fest in many cases. People with the best rolls will likely win in that scenario, given that players are equally skilled. The implementation of the Auto send feature just made this way worse.
- Due to the lack of players, the elo system can be extremely wonky. This could mean that you're sometimes getting matched with people 2-400 MMR above/below you, resulting in very fluctuating MMR gains/losses. This can be very frustrating, especially when losing a lot.
Neutral:
- The game has a very high learning curve. Fantastic for people who like the challenge and enjoy learning new things, not so great for casual players overall.
- Meta will likely remain the same. Subjectively speaking, I'm not the biggest fan of that, as I value impactful decisions more throughout the entire game and not just wave 11-20.
- Game demands a lot of time investment if you want to get good in it.
Legion TD2 and its community has been there for me when I was at the lowest point of my life, and I will honestly never forget that. And while I dislike certain parts of the current state of the game, it's a fantastic and well thought out game overall. If you really do enjoy strategy games or even just Tower Defense games, I can wholeheartly recommend giving it a shot.
Super fun to meme around with friends, fun and addicting multiplayer tower defense game with a lot more to unpack than meets the eye. Regular updates and devs that are involved in their community - THEY LISTEN! :D
I've played the game while I eat dinner every day for the last 3 years and it's never been a very good use of my time. It's one of the very few games that I know of with no major flaw. 8/10
If you like auto battlers, this is a terrific game for you. Very in depth and lots of opportunities to flex your strategy skills. I love it
Great game from that was originally from Warcraft III. Would recommend for anyone that likes that game mode in Warcraft III.
My friend and I really enjoy this game . No pay to win BS and it's plain good ol fun.
If you liked the first game in wc3 and squadron td, you'll love this one. Matches are quick and engaging and the ranked grind is real.
Still loving it after almost 130 hours!
Sigh. The AI bots deliberately cheat making it impossible to win some games. Come on devs, this is just not cool.
in legion td 2 in starcraft 2 you had about 20 factions to choose from.
here it is 8!
they say most people play random anyway and they are a small studio and all, so they only introduce one new unit at a time.
still having only 8 complete factions and about 100 random units is a big dissapointment to the game.
for example every second unit they created could have been for a new faction, just combine them in the end and give them a bit more synergie, but no that would take too much effort.
just play legion td in starcraft 2 custom lobbies.
its free and has better gameplay anyway.
This game's learning curve is too steep. I guess that's why the playerbase is pretty small.
I really enjoyed this game a few years ago. The mechanics are so fun and addicting, especially if you like auto chess games. However, anytime I play this game now, I immediately get matched with the highest ranked players, even though my rank is only gold. I think the matchmaking is so desperate for players, that you'll never find a balanced game. On the other hand, this game also has one of the most toxic communities I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. So, between getting matched with the sweatiest no-lifers possible, you're also getting flamed constantly every game by your team, the enemies team, and everyone in between. Just to be clear, this happens EVERY TIME. The learning curve of this game is also pretty steep. So good luck to new players that want to enjoy learning this fun game, because the community will repeatedly harass you about not being good enough, or for not understanding how the game works. I would not recommend this to new players. Just let all the elitist, who thrive off of the dopamine dumps this game gives, to burn this game out until there is nothing left. You know they've got nothing better to do with their time.
This game is stupid. I cant place defenders 1/2 the time. I have no idea whats going on. I went through the tutorial, thought I understood. Started the campaign and it wouldn't let my place defenders the first round. It more complex then it needs to be. More wasted money. its not worth 15$ maybe if it goes on sale for free sometime it might be worth it?
Great price, great mechanics, great replayability.
What do I think? amazing. kills time, engages strategic thought, and its more than just a tower game.
The developers added lots of randomized content, special events like PVE mode where you focus on building tower and buying workers but whats sent every wave is the same for everyone. Superhero mode where every 6 waves you gave a ability to place on a tower. These modes/events are on a schedule that you can view, there is 2v2 and 4v4, and endless mode. The developers put emphasis on feedback after every patch. Content is never boring and even if it was, just roll YOLO. All your units will become randomized, and you'll never have the same experience!
The game in a nutshell:
Use gold to buy worker, worker gives you 1 myth resource every 10 seconds, spend 20myth on snail, snail attacks your opponents lane and gives 5 gold income, after wave ends receive 5 gold, use gold to buy tower or worker. Repeat the process except you can buy more than just snails, the more myth you spend the higher tier the minion you send.
Place towers on a square somewhere in your lane, professionals do so to make the wave attack multiple towers(splitting the lane)
Now factor in weakness's. every tower and minion, have an atttack impact, magic, pierce, and defense fortified, natural or arcane, each one is weak against one type and strong against another.
Professionals save myth for multiple waves, then send a big attack.
You lose when your king dies, you win when your opponent leaks and their king dies.
well made TD. gfx are nothing to write home about, but more importantly the core gameplay is solid. multiplayer is where its at.
Quick summary
I do not consider this game as competitive, but it is chill.
More detailed review
It's kinda hard to advance skill and develop new ways to play because of the lack of mechanics.
In 10+ hours I established my favourite minions and strategy to play and I feel that I don't make special decisions anymore. I feel that there is a lack of minions' synergy and mechanics, all the minions are mostly equal and I can't do nothing special with them to withdraw something huge because of the linear mechanics this game has, so I'm getting bored.
I don't regret buying this game tho, these 20 hours were interesting and definitely worth to play. It's good to play a chill game there when you want to rest or take a break from playing Dark souls or Civilisation 6 or whatever makes your brain traumatise itself.
good strategy game that's generally easy on beginners while remaining fun for experienced players
It's so heavily tied to the steam token, it's ridiculous. Have the slightest of internet problems and you need to log out of steam, and back into steam in order for the game to reconnect to MP.
