Ultimate Fishing® Simulator

I love to fish but never have time to do it IRL. This game satisfies that need very well without being a money pit like some of the "free to play" games are. The graphics are lovely on my PC, but I am definitely looking forward to the remaster to see how much better they can be, The discord community is also pretty friendly, and people are generally there to help and have a good time.

it is rlly fun, especially when u don't have any single thing to do in ur life just like me. ofc it would be enjoyable by ppl who loves fishing (if u don't, then it's just a boring game). yeah i don't even know why I'm explaining this

It's still the best fishing game on the market based on the features it provides alone, and just about the only one that actually has fly fishing.

I'm not a fisherman but I saw this game on sale dirt cheap game makes me feel relax and at peace while fishing def recommend grabbing this game on sale and trying it out graphics are realy good and wide range of fish to catch

this game has a decent number of maps and so much variety in your gear options you will probably never use half of them but at least you will have a fun time finding out the perfect combination for every species. being able to add the fish you catch to custom aquariums is a nice touch.

I've enjoyed playing this SIM

Just completed a full collection of the non-DLC fish species. This game is so much fun, especially when I found the appropriate hook/lure size / float wire length for a specific fish. Fighting against a 340 kg marlin in ocean for 3 min is such an amazing experience. I've never tried fishing in real life before, and I got to learn a lot of technical details about different fishing approaches from this game. Can't wait to proceed to DLCs for more fishing.

Well after playing this game for a couple hours and not realising how old it was, I was like man this game looks rough. Then reading that it is a team of 4 making the game, I am pretty impressed. Although I read that they are revamping the game engine ie. graphics etc. I can't wait for that to come out as this game has potential. Kinda wish I didn't buy the DLC's though until then as I have been let down by indie developers before

Fun action with controller -- what's up with the pairing of worldwide music stations with this game? lol Anyway, if you feel nostalgic for a fishing game, this one hits the spot.

I'm not a fisherman, never been fishing, nor been interested in it. That said, I bought this in the last sale and I am so glad I did. The scenery itself is relaxing enough, but fishing in this sim is a great way to spend an hour or two. I really like it.
The guy who refunded because no one was there to hold his hand and tell him the triggers on the controller cast and reel in/out, while the thumb sticks allow you to walk around, is obviously the type who should just stick to Minecraft. The simplicity of the controls is something any 5 year old could figure out within 5 minutes. The mental illness of young folk today is worrying - and refunding, when you paid $1 for this game in the sale? Seriously? Get a grip man.

Absolute waste of money.

When trying to use a controller the game is a total mess. The most basic consideration has not been given to controller usage. All tutorials tell you which mouse button or keyboard key to press. I could find no option to change this so I'm left constantly having to navigate through horrible menu screens to find the controller inputs page every time the game wants me to press anything.

The UI is a mess and really baffling to navigate with a controller. Highlighting a menu option is no guarantee that you will actually be selecting that option when you hit your X/A button; often you'll find the page scrolls up or down suddenly to show you which option the game thinks you were selecting, with no discernible reason to it.

Just a horrible attempt at a game. I requested a refund even though the game cost me less than 2 quid on sale. That's how much I hate this game.

Originally posted a good review until I hit level 14. You start going to different maps and using different gear looking for different fish and no fish bite. You can't catch anything. The rules make no sense. Guides make no sense. One of the worst things you find is that lures and spin/cast would work on pretty much any fish but not i n this game. Many realism and simulator issues in this game. Difficulty is way too high and unrealistic. Just nothing works and it just becomes not very fun or exciting.

crap game -

Screen turns black after fish cam and doesn't allow me to reel sometimes. I know games that are in way in early access in and way less buggy, try Call of Wild: The Angler if you want a good fishing game

its a pretty good game, a bit technical so it takes a while to get your head around but when you do its a lovely game

Great Fun . Realistic. Second best to real fishing.

Great game to calm down and unwind. It's nice to have in-game internet radio, so I listen to 1FM Country all the time while fishing. It's easy to get going and reasonably self-explanatory. Graphics are good enough. DLCs are fun if bought on sale. Plenty to explore.

Nice chill game to relax with. Great ambient sound and in-game radio function. Easy to learn controls and easy cast/reel. NOT a gacha pay-to-win game like some of the other fishing games out on the market. Prices in the bait shop are hilarious, though ($5 for a single worm!). Would recommend if you enjoy fishing games.

Graphics are not very good. Needs guide or hints for what gear to use and where.
Very basic stuff here.

DLC's are a rip-off.

Get it on a sale.
