I love this game. It's fun, easy to learn and the game has won me over.
There isn't any scum microtransactions everything can be unlocked for free, the starter gear gets you catching fish easily. I would highly recommend buying the amazon pack.
Very entertaining
A great game to kick back and relax with. Once you get used to the UI and how the fishing mechanics work (increase the drag on your rod!), you'll be catching fish to your heart's content. The steady amount of money and XP that you earn with each catch is also a really nice dopamine hit.
fun and relaxing. controls are easy to learn. getting exp and money is nice getting to choose between either after catching a fish is nice. good looking amazing

Good fishing game. Nice controller setup too. The UI is kinda of confusing at first but it's easy to understand after a while. Love the "Radio" feature and best chill fishing experience.
Finally, a game that lets you live out the excitement of sitting still and being ignored by fish... but without the sunburn! Why bother with real life when you can digitally fail at fishing too?
Pretty fun game, I enjoyed Betty Lake when I could catch fish at will.

My initiate of playing this game is to learn fishing, and it actually works! knowing the size of hook, when to use different fishing rod.... But im still learning other fishing methods except float fishing.
I found it is quite practical as you can try different method and learn, at the same time, it has enough instructions to let you know you are doing right or wrong.
I don't know why I like fishing in video games so much. It could be because it's relaxing, or because I can do other stuff on my second monitor and requires little attention span, could even be because i'm now a middle aged man and I have the reaction speed of a sloth on Xanax and can't play competitive games against skibidi toddlers any more or it's because i'm just autistic.

Probably the best fishing game I've played. Better in VR imo
Developers need to fish once or twice before designing a game. This is all programmed off of them watching youtube videos. This is mobile gaming quality. Decent game, HEAVY PAY WALL to access the real game.

*Just another cash grab from the chinese/chinese influenced people (Germans (only produced scam games with 10% positive reviews, secret NFT fraud account for some conglomerate (google pancake games), and the Bit Golem-Polish (another scammer - kickstarter game producer) mass producing trash games. The more I play, the more it is clear. Do not buy this game. It is paywall after pay wall.

The VR DLC makes this game just what I was searching for, a simple fishing simulator where I can just sit by a lake and throw my line in the water, there is a nice variety of fish I can catch, lures hooks and bait to use, and many poles and reels to equip. The controls are just as I want them in VR mode and there is a great choice of background music to listen to.

A solid fishing simulator that does a lot right, my biggest issues right now is just some of the visual jank, which they look to be tweaking in their remastered version, but as of now it's not as visually impressive as say, COTW-The Angler; but it also does a lot that game does not do, for example actually pumping and moving your rod does affect your line and lure/hook in real time, physics plays a much larger part in this and fish behavior seems pretty alright, at least for certain species (Bass and panfish specifically) Would have to put more time into on some of the lakes with more defined structure to see what's what.
There's also boats on some maps as well as a decent level editor if you wanna make your own fishing hole, and it has VR support.
Looking forward to the remaster of this, they have a very very good simulation base.

besides tiny ripples in the water there is no way to know I have a bite NONE! why? Just a ripple around where i casted out is the only way? No sounds of my line being yanked or anything? I hope it changes if I level up bc I have no clue how I caught the fish I caught. I strained my eyes to see I tine ripple in the water hoping it was a fish, and it was, but.......I don't get it.

The game is not bad, but you must try hard not to catch something; the fish will bite less than a minute after you swing your rod. Everytime without fail. And all you do is reel it in. There is zero challenge.
It's a fun little fishing simulator, somewhat scratches the itch for the real thing
