She Wants Me Dead

In the quirky platformer world of She Wants Me Dead, dodging spikes and narrowly avoiding buzzsaws is engaging and challenging. Despite its brevity, the game packs a concentrated burst of fun with a song that wormed its way into my head. I’m genuinely puzzled by its lack of popularity.

It took me 10 years to decide that I finally want to buy this game. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the mechanics, the overall gameplay, the soundtrack, market, or the challenges.
However, they're 10 achievements that the game is offering for everyone to unlock, but it seems like only 8/10 could be possible. I've been searching up on over 10 Google pages, Youtube, Reddit and plenty more other sites, but no one is willing to actually tell me how the hell am I supposed to get the 2 secret achievements, and not even the Steam's description is good enough.
I'm not gonna give the game a dislike, just because of 2 impossible to unlock achievements, but I'd like to receive like a comment from the dev, or someone that knows how to get them...

The Phone version is also verywell made
but pc is a bit ez to manage also you have more stuff

The game is challenging, but it also feels unfair in places with huge lengths of obstacles without a break to analyze what you need to do next. There is also forced waiting to get into the right rhythm right after you start in certain sections. It's also short; I beat the 10 stages in under an hour.

However, the biggest issue is the breaks in the immersion. Difficult games like this need to allow the player to get into a flow state and every time I have to reach over to the mouse to resume because none of the menu controls can be bothered to be mapped to the controller, it breaks that flow. If someone wants to get a gold frame for a perfect run, just give them the option to turn off the checkpoints; that should be enough. There's no need to charge the player points to continue every few deaths, especially when the amount is so negligible.

It can be super hard, like I've been stuck on level 3 for forever now, but that doesn't negate the fact its super fun and the music is BANGIN'! If you like challenging platformers then I highly recommend you get this game!

I beat the mobile version of this game (really good, highly recommend) and wanted to try it on my PC, too, since the controls are different.
Now I can cry about dying 170 times in a row on my phone AND computer!

Splendid music choice and a beauty in designing a wonderfull background. The goodness in it is how you die and they display a great reminder of what not to do for next time

Hey, whenever I try to start the game instead of actually showing the game, only the audio starts playing. has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how did you deal with it? also the thumbs down is because I have no ability to actually review the game. I'm sure the game itself is probably good

This game is just a basic platformer and while it starts out as interesting and cool, the game quickly becomes boring and lacks diversity. Personally I love "She Wants Me Dead" by Cazzette, but one can listen to a song only so many times in a row before you start to hate it. I personally feel that this title which is currently at $8 is just overpriced for what it is. I could buy Geometry dash and have a more enjoyable experience.

Max is terrible at parkour; he take almost 1 second to jump when you tell him to.
That make sense because he's an ordinary human, am I right?

rather short, yet amazing and challenging platformer.
Also the music's pretty good.

I absolutely adore this game. The black and white composition fits the aesthetic of the visuals and music itself. I love that the traps are timed with the different audio queues of the music, which makes it even more of a challenge. Not to mention that I am a fan of CAZZETTE, I honestly didn't know about this game until I saw the music video She Wants Me Dead. From level 1, the game is indeed a challenge and is not for anyone who isn't up for it.

Some of the traps indeed require some thinking of how to get past them quickly and without having to start over from your last check point. Although you are not timed to get the level finished, it's definitely a relief when you finally reach the Safe House and can move on to the next level!

Pretentious artsy black and white art style, jazzy music, and silly premise all used to cover awful slow responding controls. There is a legit 1 second delay to each command including just moving forward, which in inexcusable in a game that is asking for precise jumps and timing with fast moving spikes.

She Wants Me Dead Review!

She Wants Me Dead Is one of those must have side scrollers that has a rather interresting plot! You play as a guy called Max
that has annoyed his cat with the normal things cats gets annoyed about (Pushed of the bed, Sprayed them with water when they misbehaved ect.. ect..)
and now the cat is out for revenge and wants to put an end to Max by placing loads of traps to stop you throughout the level you have to complete

How Does The Game Play?

The gameplay is very fun and ultra addicting! It´s a short game with only 10 levels but does get harder and harder to closer you get to finishing it!
There is good replay value too since they have added a feature that if you complete a level without dying you get a golden frame around your precious cat photos! (Who wouldn´t want that??)
The game can be played with both Keyboard and Controller so you can use whatever you feel comfortable with!

Pros & Cons

Pros:

• Very addicting Gameplay!
  
• Nice graphics considering the game style (Side Scroller Platformer)
  
• Extremely awesome music that intereacts with the game is a really nice way! (stops playing when you die ect.. ect..)
  
• Controller Support if you have one.
  
• A really fun character customisation that you unlock parts to everytime you complete a level (You can be everything from a cat lover to a badass killing machine with a skirt!)
  
• Takes no time at all to download/Install so the minute you buy it you pay it pretty much! (Currently only 30Mb)
  

Cons:

• Currently there is no options menu so you can´t turn down the music (Headphones warning)
  
• Can be really fustrating at times so there´s a real hazard for a broken keyboard.

Conclusion & Gameplay

She Wants Me Dead is an overall really good game that really makes you feel like you achomplished something even when just getting to a new checkpoint.
As said in the Pros the game doesn´t require that much space on your harddrive and could even fit on a flash drive so you can take it with you to other PCs (Requires you to log into steam ofc)
Another really nice thing is that this game is one of those games you can start and stop whenever you feel like it! So it´s the perfect game for when the class gets boring or if you have a few minutes to play.
For the guys that find this game a bit of the pricy side i would really recommend picking it up when it goes on sale!
Overall i would give it 8/10 for what it is.

She Wants Me Dead is about a guy called Max that annoyed his cat Lula and now she's out to kill him. She's placed a load of traps and other things to stop him progressing through the levels.

How The Game Plays

The gameplay is very good, it's a short game which took me less than 2 hours to complete from start to finish. There's 10 levels in total and if you're good enough to complete a level without dying you'll get a golden frame for that level. You can use either keyboard or controller (it's a lot easier with controller) you start off with a very easy level which is more like a tutorial and then it becomes more and more challenging as you progress through the game.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

Controller support (you can't use controller in the menus)

Good music and the game actually plays to the beat of the music

Very addicting

Good graphics

Cool character customisation (you can dress Max up in a tutu and
high heels and have him hold glow sticks)

Cons:

No way to turn down the game sound

A little bit overpriced for what the game is in my opinion

[*]This isn't really a con but this game can be very rage inducing, you
need to be patient with it

Final Verdict & Gameplay

Overall this is a cool game that's quite short so it shouldn't take long to complete and you feel accomplished when you do complete it, it could be used as a game to play when you have 10 minutes spare. You must be patient with it because it becomes very frustrating when you struggle on a level. I would say pick this game up when it's on sale, I personally don't think it's worth the full price and even on sale still seems a little bit overpriced.

This is actually a really cool game. It works like Limbo but with really cool music. You can actually play based on the beat of the song. 9/10
