- Finish the game with GAL.00 will Unlock GAL.01 "Shield GAL" as playable character!
- While unable to access other GAL power GAL.01 still can upgrade with Powerup Item! with her own set of powerup.
- Fight GAL.00 as Enemy!
To start as GAL.01, create a new profile and choose her from Character Select menu.
*Note* Story content will cut off from GAL.01 Mode.

About the Game
METAGAL is an 2D platformer action game.You will take the shoes of "Meta" ,a cyborg girl, in her quest to rescue her Creator "Dr Ray" from the hands of "General Creeper", the evil leader of a rogue army!!
Also Metagal's sisters, were kidnapped by Creeper: he turned them in battle cyborgs, in order to use their powers to rule the world!! Meta must face her sisters, free them, and copy their abilities. She must fight for 8 stages of intense action, and prepare herself for the final confrontation against Creeper himself!

I feel a little bad because I have *almost* enjoyed both games from this developer.
This one feels sort of partway between Mega Man and Mega Man X, perhaps a bit closer to Mega Man. Especially in the difficulty. This game is more difficult that I like, with checkpoints that are way too far apart. And this is really the entire reason for the negative review.
Well, not really. I was on the fence from the difficulty, but the straw that broke the camel's back was getting stuck in the floor. I'd had a hard time even getting to that point and I sure wasn't gonna restart the stage only for it to maybe happen again. No. I'm done.
Other than that I think the game does pretty well. Controls are responsive, the graphics are solid, and the levels are pretty interesting each with their own unique gimmicks and dangers.
Oh, and final note - don't bother buying this for Steam Deck. This isn't affecting my review at all, but I first tried to play this game a couple years ago. To be fair something could have changed in that time. Anyway, you have to use a keyboard when you first launch the game. Okay, I can make a mapping for that. Then when you actually get in the game proper it pops up like "Hey, we found a controller. We're just gonna switch you over to that now." And so now the keyboard layout you just made no longer works. While I understand that the game wasn't designed for the Deck (heck, it predates it), there's really no excuse for waiting that long to detect a controller.
