In Fall 2008, Victoria is sent to Maine where Ellen Dunnigan's body has just been found. The modus operandi and the video sent to the police and press leave them in no doubt as to the killer's identity: the East Coast Torturer has struck again! No clues are picked up during the autopsy, as the serial killer painstakingly washed the body. Once again, the killer has not committed any errors.
From her motel room, Victoria comes across a report by Paloma Hernandez, the journalist covering all the crimes bearing the East Coast Torturer's signature. Hernandez has been highly critical of the FBI's and Victoria's lack of progress. That does not stop Hernandez from phoning and asking Victoria to meet her later that evening. Hernandez claims to have some so-called clues on the killer in her possession. Victoria flatly refuses. Just moments later, Paloma is kidnapped by the Torturer…
Still Life 2 remains true to the spirit of its first installment, but now allows you to play and manage two characters bound by the same fate. This time, the aim is to control two heroines, see the game from two complementary viewpoints and experience two different gameplays. Depending on whether you are playing Paloma Hernandez, the victim being hunted by the killer or Victoria McPherson, the FBI agent tracking him down, you can alternate between survival and investigation.

Not the best pnc adventure game around, but a nice little police procedural.
Do not buy this game because if you do, you would have wasted 10 hours ++ of your life. The exception though that you want to be a psychopath.
It feels like this game is doing everything possible to make the player dislike it. One of the worst adventure games I’ve ever played.
I remember quitting this game without finishing it many years ago, and it was a big part of why I stopped playing p&c adventure games for a long time. But I wanted to find out who the killer was, so I came back... just to play through an irrelevant story and learn about the killer from the first Still Life through a few flashbacks. And that story isn't particularly interesting, plus the game is extremely repetitive since you’re constantly doing the same things.
The graphics are dated, but I wouldn’t have minded that if at least the movement in the 3D environment was practical. The movement is so bad that you can lose (yes, you can die in this game) just because the movement system doesn’t work well, causing you to waste time during timed events.
Speaking of timed events, there are a lot of them. There's even one that you can only attempt once, and if you fail... you’re simply done. GAME OVER. Yep, just like that.
Maybe you could copy-paste save files beforehand, but I didn’t try that. I’ve read that you can enter a code somewhere and attempt it a second time, though.
The game has some other bugs and glitches as well, people are complaining for dead ends but in my case i managed to complete the game.
Another annoying thing is the inventory management. In this game, your inventory is limited, and you have to decide which items to carry with you, while storing the ones you don’t need in stashes around the places you visit. The problem is that most of the time, you have no idea which items you will need later, so you end up walking around transferring items just to continue the game. Not to mention, many items you use don’t get discarded, they just sit in your inventory with you wondering if you are going to need them again.
Dialogues and voice acting range from okay to bad. Especially at the beginning, listening to Vic speak felt like listening to one of those spoiled girl-power characters Hollywood keeps promoting for... reasons. Later in the game, she behaves a bit better.
The only good thing about this game is the atmosphere. The combination of timed events (where you can die) with the music works well. However, as the game progresses, it becomes unnecessarily difficult, and the problem with that is the game just doesn’t motivate you to keep playing. I used more than one walkthrough in several sections, especially towards the end, because I was so bored that I just wanted to finish it and move on.
And the ending? Not rewarding at all, much like the rest of the game.
I really wanted to like this game, but nope, it’s hands down one of the worst p&c adventures I’ve ever played.
DO NOT BUY IT. Just watch a walkthrough on YouTube and save yourself from the suffering.
If you really want to buy it, wait for a sale, and then... think twice. And remember, I didn’t listen to those warnings either...
"A Bug Life: Bugs Never Ending" is not even half as good as its father.
The core feature of the game is bugging.
It is bugging itself so you cannot play it without saving every 2 minutes.
It bugs the player with all the mechanics possible to annoy you the best it can.
There are bugs in the shape of Paloma, the sheriff and Garris who I am sure are all praying mantises in human disguise.
Also the biggest bug is Vic herself, doing everything within her powers to be as lame as she can as to not catch the killer so the game won't end prematurely...
But if the above mentioned mosquitos are not a threat to your weak gamer's heart, I can honestly say that the game has a solid interest.
Just bring a insecticide with you.
good game just needed a youtube toutorial to finish it lmao besides the game machnism is little buggy if you skipped one item or clue u will stuck
