"Abrix 2 - Diamond version" is a mobile-app like grid puzzle/pathing game where you must move a low quality toy robot through a grid of blocks. Different blocks do different things so you must move carefully to ensure you choose the correct path through the correct blocks... seems simple enough but there's no guide or tooltips to show you what each kind of block does, and there's also no incentive to actually play the game because it's garbage.
EJRGames have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. One example of EJRGames doing this is VRAdventure, which is really the "POLYGON Dungeons - Low Poly 3D Art by Synty" asset, written by the actual developers, Synty Games. When EJRGames took this asset from Synty Studios, they didn't credit them and tried to pass off Synty's work as their own, to mislead gamers for profit.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. In fact, the developer decided the native resolution of my monitor was mobile phone 9:16 aspect ratio, and because there's no graphics settings, there's no way to correct this insulting misjudgement on the part of the failed developer.
The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers.
This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all).
Regardless, for all intents and purposes "Abrix 2 - Diamond version" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. "Abrix 2 - Diamond version" has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for completing the simple tutorial level, but only around 4 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch.
"Abrix 2 - Diamond version" is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price and the unethical nature of the asset flipping developer, this is impossible to recommend.
Warning: Microtransaction Infested Game
This game is infested with a mobile app like cash shop for unlocking in-game currency and features. Whether these are purely cosmetic or they alter your gaming experience significantly, this gamer gouging practice is unethical and insulting to gamers, especially when applied to such a low quality shovelware game. Gamers should be cautious and consider avoiding this game for that reason alone.
MY GOD. Adorably awful. Do not play, but if there is no option, do it with your eyes closed and plugs in your ears.
napokon
Game was remade and old achievements deleted. Dont buy any games from this developer ever again.
