Babylon 2055 Pinball is an extraordinarily mediocre pinball simulator game... I won't go into explaining what pinball is, but it's important to know there's quite a few pinball games on Steam, and while I don't agree with their predatory pricing models, a few of them give you completely free tables to play on and are backed by a really solid pinball simulator engine.
This one is the opposite.
You can unlock a handful of tables, but there's no point... this is worse than the 3D spaceman pinball you get with Windows XP. It's only in 2D, there's no table bumping feature (I guess you don't have to worry about Tilt???)... it's just a simplistic mess that I am surprised isn't a Flash game. And a slew of technical shortcomings.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The game features simple, fairly basic 2D visuals, and while some effort went into them, and they don't look bad exactly, they don't look great, either. In the 3D era of gaming, that kicked off in the mid 1990's with dedicated 3D GPUs like the S3 Virge and ATI Rage, phoning in the graphics like this isn't going to win any awards or appeal to enthusiast PC gamers.
It's apparent that little to no testing for the game was done, at least on modern gaming PCs. In fullscreen, the game doesn't display properly, with the game area drawn only up in the top left corner of the screen. This is caused by the developer not bothering to ensure the game works on resolutions over 1080p, with very high resolution monitors that use DPI scaling for the OS UI. Because the game area is not drawn correctly, it doesn't map to the mouse pointer properly, so the game itself simply cannot be played. Gamers shouldn't be forced to accept defective products just because developers don't bother with basic testing on PC.
Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying sound/background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop it using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
The very poor quality of this game puts it squarely on-par with ancient 1990's Flash/Java games, and given it's 2024 (and this was released not so far back in 2017), gamers and the industry expect and deserve better than this kind of low effort shovelware.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Babylon 2055 Pinball has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "Not actually worth", for losing a ball, trivial to achieve, but less than 6 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 110,000+ games on Steam?
Babylon 2055 Pinball is relatively cheap at $4 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product. Including free pinball tables from AAA simulators... so get one of those instead.
I played this game for 30 days straight, at the end I noticed that my two 9 month old children were dead because I didn't feed them. The saddest thing about this story is that I never got past the first level, I actually never understood how it works, I just liked the music, Tarattattaaa, Tarattattaaaa, I love this music I killed my ex-wife because she didn't want to sing it while we were having sex. Lately I've been having problems with the church because I like smashing everything and raping children, before this game I was a normal, healthy person with values, this game just saved me. Holy shit. Recommended game with 5 star rating, I recommend not playing if you have 9 month old children
I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

This seems like or outright is the same game essentially as Quantic Pinball, simply reskinned. By the same publisher and developer. I don't care for the graphic style, colors and skinning in this versus their other game and am not sure why one would need to buy both. I do like Quantic Pinball, it has several modes and tables to unlock. You'd think I'd be marking this as a recommend, but am not because I don't think it's a good idea for two version of the same game with reskinned graphics and audio to confuse. I probably should have refunded this one, but will keep it. Maybe someday I'll unlock the tables and second mode, if one exists, like I did the other game.
Babylon 2055 Pinball is a great choice for pinball fans who are looking for a classic arcade experience. The graphics are great and the physics are incredibly realistic, making each shot feel like a real pinball machine. The 9 different table game mini-modes provide a variety of challenges and each one has its own special gameplay. The 6 original tables and the endless special table offer plenty of opportunities to test your skills. The game also supports full controller support and Steam Achievements, adding to the overall experience. The ability to play on a TV using remote play is also a nice touch. Overall, Babylon 2055 Pinball is a fun, challenging and enjoyable experience for pinball fans, and I would definitely recommend it.

It is pinball. Sort of.
Even at the cheap sale price, I cannot recommend it to fans of digital pinball games.
The tables are really bland, basic, low quality.
The physics are not "incredibly realistic". Exact opposite, actually.
The "mini-modes" consist of different overlays on your screen, to completely obscure the table, meaning you spam the [Shift] buttons like mad, to try to keep balls in play that you can't see... because the overlay is opaque, not translucent or transparent. Poke-and-hope is not good for a pinball game. All of the overlays for "combo", "ball saved" ect, alo block the table view, so you cannot see it. Really poor, lazy design.
The voice actor is very difficult to understand... very obvious English is not a first, second, third, or even fourth language for the fellow.
Achievements seem broken, as I have completed the first table (or so the game told me, 3 times), and the achievement does not pop.
It does run okay on a 6 year old gaming desktop, but that is about all I can say positively about it. It's about the same low quality as the dev's other games. (I would not have bought if I had checked into who made this, before buying it... my bad.) I recommend you avoid this one, unless you really feel like wasting a few dollars on a boring, half-baked pinball wanna-be game.
