This is not good. It worked the way it should, but it's just not good.
Only one table, and the design of that is terrible. The color scheme is way too contrasting and distracting. Because of this, it's sometimes hard to follow what is actually happening, where the ball is, and what anything on the table actually does.
Irl this might have been decent, but on pc, there's so much more better games you could be playing. Even if you really like pinball, there's a lot better pinball games out there.
Worms Pinball is a fun little pinball arcade game with the iconic Worms theme. The music and sound effects, including the classic Worms voices, fit perfectly for this type of game. There are no instructions, and the resolution is limited to 1024x768, but finding the controls or looking them up is easy enough. After a few rounds, I quickly got the hang of aiming the ball. While it works fine and is enjoyable, it's clearly dated (from 1999) and only features one table. I wouldn’t buy it for €8 on its own, but as part of the discounted Worms collection, it’s worth having.
the bloody thing hardly even functions on modern windows and when it does its restricted to a like 640*480 window at the highest resolution. i have tried forcing it manually to higher resolutions, to windowed mode, and even tried injecting special k into it to see if anything would help me run this game in a resolution larger than a postage stamp; and even without my meddling, the game still is just prone to not launching for some reason.
an odd piece of worms history. if you bought the worms pack, you have this beast on your floor, may as well give it a poke, but otherwise, maybe give it a miss
