Об игре
Steel Seed — захватывающая приключенческая экшен-игра от команды разработчиков, выпустивших ранее высоко оцененную Close to the Sun.

This game is solidly decent. I'm not hugely into these kinds of linear action adventure stealth/combat games, though I have enjoyed some. I played through the original Horizon: Zero Dawn, which I feel like provided a lot of inspiration to this game in many ways.
This is a much darker, post-human future ruled by various forms of AI. You awake into a world you know nothing about, so the journey is one of discovery and mystery. This doesn't appear to have any kind of open world, or at least not yet... everything is fairly linear. There are some ability trees and things to unlock that can improve your combat in various ways, perhaps also some things to boost stealth... I haven't gotten too deep into those. There are some cosmetic unlocks, like other suit color schemes and stuff... nothing huge, but it's a nice little addition.
The graphics and animation are great. This is a very lighting/shadows heavy game, so it will be best to play it on a solid PC that you can crank up the effects. There are a lot of really expansive background visuals that I feel really add to the game, and it would be a shame for those to lose quality by playing this on a lower end PC.
The voice acting so far has been fine. The main character is likeable and looks really cool. Combat is responsive and deadly, though at times slightly spongy. This is in large part a stealth game where you are creeping around a room with patrolling enemies and trying to do stealth assassinations the whole time. You don't have to, of course. If you prefer to slog it out you can just do that. You know the type of game I mean. Stealth assassination animations have been very good, certainly adds something to the experience.
I will say the musical score is brilliant, I've really been enjoying that. The story is not the most original in the world, but I won't give spoilers. It's possible that as the game develops there will be twists, but at this point it's a somewhat predictable story line. It's good though, nothing wrong with it.
If you've played through the high priority games on your list and want something light weight with good action, a decent story, good graphics, and not too much thinking necessary... well, this is a good choice.
So far I am really enjoying the game! though I will say stealth is a bit to over powered like the deploy able glitch fields not going away after a set amount of time and enemy AI not being the most aware. platforming feels a bit uncontrollable but only slightly. Some magnetism when jumping on small platforms would work wonders if implemented well. other than those things the progression system, exploring and the story so far has been very good! I hope to see more from this developer and see more improvements to these game play mechanics in the form of updates or in future titles! I just love games with stealth mechanics!
First off, I want to thank the devs for being one of the few to still offer free demos. The demo was a great way to show what kind of a ride you will be in for when you play this game.
I am still playing through Steel Seed, but I think I have played enough to know that I definitely like it. The main character, while not super in depth is enough of a force to be able to drive the plot forward and at least make me care about the stakes. The story is actually kind of similar to the plot of WALL-E but with its own spin on things. I actually really like it.
The combat is really fluid and the flow of things is very smooth. This game is mainly about stealth but you're not completely defenseless if you get caught. The stealth followed by the movement is very tight and you can really feel how defined it is. The skill tree is also very good as it doesnt have boring upgrades like "+1.5% extra damage". The upgrades are more like "your robot buddy Koby now can fire freaking grenades at your targets". It makes you want to keep upgrading to add new stuff to your arsenal.
My main issue is with the parkour sections of the game. For the most part, the wall climbing, tight rope, and sliding sections were very smooth. But the absolute worst part, bar none, is the wall running sections. I cannot tell you how many times Zoe would just refuse to jump whenever I told her to jump off of the wall run. Not to mention how it sometimes just refuses to "stick" her to the wall as you will make a jump to the wall run part and just slide off anyway. Most of my deaths in this game were due to wall running.
Other than that though, this game is a very good action adventure game that does really well to keep your attention and keep you invested.
8/10
This is definitely a good sci-fi game, which seems to be made with love and care. Dense cyberpunk atmosphere is clearly felt while exploring the world, and it's all good, but... Yeah, unfortunately there's a "but", hiding in gameplay roughnesses and several minor details, which make the whole impression contradictory:
1. The game strongly pushes you to choose stealth walkthrough, 'cause you'll die from a couple of punches in an open fight 'til the very last mission (it's ok, if you're dexterous and patient;).
2. Why not add fast stealthy movement in skills tree then?
3. Why the protagonist can't attach to the whole ledge surface, but only to the "highlighted" elements? It matters, when we have a "sneaky-peeky" based game.
4. Identical skills in different upgrade branches, which cost different amount of points? Seriously?
5. It's a nightmare for perfectionists and trophy hunters, cause there's several unnecessary and somehow even unexplained collectibles, which can't be found at first walkthrough - and those collectibles are strongly connected to the skill tree upgrades, which you need to complete the 100% walkthrough.
However, this is all just my dissatisfied subjective grumbling, and overall the game is worthy of your attention!
It’s rare that a game looks this close to its concept art. But Steel Seed pulls it off. The visuals are gorgeous- cold, bleak, and stunning.
It’s definitely a linear game, but that’s not a bad thing. The focus is on story and stealth, not open-world distractions.
Platforming is solid, but very guided. Arrows and prompts show where to go - less exploration, more directed movement.
This game reminds me of "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora" in that the game play is kinda mid but the game world is so amazing you don't care.
The game is fun to play.
But if you have a RTX 5090 in combination of AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor the game freezes a lot.
64gb Ram should be enough.
Is there anyway to see why it freezes, crashes logfile?
It is unplayable like this.
Steel Seed may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy methodical exploration and stealth, this is a must-play. Koby is a fantastic companion.
The core gameplay is fluid and rewarding.
Stealth is the focus here, but there are fun parkour and puzzle elements, too.
Some minor flaws here and there, but the payoff is worth it. Zoe’s journey is powerful, emotional, and left me thinking even after the credits.
Steel Seed made me nostalgic for the old PS3 sci-fi era. Combat isn’t flashy, but it works. The stealth and traversal shine.
I'm only 1.8 hours into the game but I had to pause the game to write this review.
Before I purchased it I watched a few youtube reviews and I paid special attention to Steam reviews. And I think I might have the official Steam record for the amount of games returned just under 2 hours.
This game is a complete ```GEM```. It brings soul and is super fun. Great level design, excellent controls, and interesting story so far. I just had to say thanks to the devs, and say 'amazing job!'.
So far , my short time with the game - 10/10. Will update as I progress.
This game surprised me. It’s not trying to be the next big blockbuster, but it’s got heart, and that’s refreshing.
Feels like a spiritual successor to Remember Me. Tight level design, a haunting world, and a lead character that actually evolves.
Played it after work and it honestly helped me relax. Odd thing to say about a stealth game, but the world is just so… quiet and thoughtful.
Gameplay is surprisingly flexible. I went from full stealth in the early game to a more aggressive approach little later - both styles feel rewarding.
This game reminded me why I love indies. It’s not trying to be flashy, it’s just trying to tell a good story and let you feel something. Respect.
Visually stunning and narratively rich. Good game, recommended.
Only 100 minutes in, but I'm giving the game some love since it needs more positive reviews. Having a really good time so far. Game is outstandingly pretty and performs reasonable well on my 3600 with 12GB. I like the progression system which rewards you for using the games systems and gives you something to shoot for.
I'll (probably) leave a better review when I've finished the story.
So far I am pleasantly surprised. I have been eagerly anticipating this game since I played the demo. Graphics are very good as are the movement systems. My only real complaint is while playing on a 32:9 super ultra-wide monitor the camera is very zoomed in. I have tried adjusting the settings but there is no way to adjust camera distance or set aspect ratio to 21:9, 16:9 ect. Setting it to 2560 x 1440 doesn't work either because it distorts the image and takes away from the great visuals. Its so bad sometimes that you miss things due to how close to Zoe your view is. I really hope the developers implement a fix or camera setting to address this issue because the game play is fantastic. If they do I would 100% recommend. I still can recommend, just be warned if you are on a 32:9 or possibly even a 21:9 Ultra-wide monitor it can be bothersome.
This game made me feel things I didn’t expect from a sci-fi action game. There’s real heart under all the metal. Also, the environments? Gorgeous. 10/10 lighting when not bugged 😄
Zoe’s journey is like if you mashed up Wall-E with Blade Runner and sprinkled some emotions on top. Super atmospheric, really moody, and strangely comforting.
Remember Me x Prince of Persia x Splinter Cell
Great game - very polished AA experiance so far!
Steel Seed offers the kind of immersive world and emotional storytelling I hadn’t felt since the first time I played Remember Me. The stealth and drone mechanics are intuitive and rewarding. Worth every moment.
