nifty game
After playing the first installment of gnomes garden, I immediately picked up the second one. I really enjoy this series! I really enjoyed it, but it really played like a pc game on my steam deck, as I was only able to use the mouse pad. However, I can definitely recommend this.
a very casual, youth orientated mobile-like game. it's like many other time management games of the type. short, simple, goal driven with only minor re-playability. and that's mostly for the achievements and full stars.
still...
it's one of the few i can recommend as there's little to nothing problematic about it. (unless you have a problem with trolls &/or gnomes. and why would you... did one of them step on your petunias???)
game harga 3rban cocok untuk melepas kacang (peanut) setelah mencari uang untuk si bos HAHAHAHA
This is a Neutral Review, God damn, finally the chores is over, about 50 lvl of Unnecessary stress n chores to go through
But i guess the gameplay n time to complete = amount of money spend? Plus with some extra achievements, at least this one works
Wait for a sale, don't need it, unless you want some extra achievements n 100% completable game
Only reason to get Gnomes Garden 2 is to gnome yourself.
It's pretty mindless clicker, only times you really need to think is when to not use resources for things you don't need to upgrade or build for objectives and you're short on time.
Sometimes this or that object becomes unclickable, so you have to restart the level to be able to finish it, which is unacceptable for such simple game.
If you look at very first achievement that you can get in the game, you can see that only 8% of people even tried to gnome themselves play this, which already says a lot about this product.
This game has been kind of a disappointment to me. It's not awful, it's just not good, either. Essentially, it plays like a mobile game. The description is somewhat misleading with it's mention of an upbeat plot (as more than an hour into this and the plot is literally 'princess want adventure! Princess got poofed to another kingdom. Princess.. clicks buttons?') as well as any mention of this being a strategy game. It's not. It's a time management game, and a rather straight forward one with little decision making needed, at that.
The pros are that the visual style is cute, and the tutorial is thorough and easy to follow, but to me the general lackluster feel of it outplays that.
TLDR: Easy time management mobile game on a PC with little to no story.
It is super cute. Not difficult at all to get three stars on every level. I paid 50 cents for this and got a good 5-6 hours of play out of it.
Super easy game to play. Fun and nice to pass the time with while not having to pay to much attention. Beat the whole thing in 8 hours, and that is with my 3 kids and husband interrupting me. Not a one and done game, IMO. I will be playing it again when I want something entertaining that doesn't require to much attention. Also a great game for younger children. Would be just the right amount of challenging for younger children.
I like the gameplay, very simple to navigate.
I personally enjoy this kind of games. For $0.75 it is a bargain!
Just noted if you click your mouse too quickly for actions (e.g. click on camp/food too quickly) the game will get stuck.
Game starts up on second monitor if you have a dual monitor setup. To fix this, press Alt+Enter and the game goes into a small window. You can then drag the game over to the monitor it's supposed to startup on and then hit Alt+Enter again to make it fullscreen. Problem solved.
Just wanted to start out my review like that so people don't have to search for a fix like I did.
As for the game, it's exactly as I expected it to be since it's my 5th Gnomes Garden game I've bought in the past month or so. Really loving the series and highly recommend all of them. Check my reviews if you have any questions about the game and I'll respond to anything you post on my reviews. If I'm still alive that is.

Nice little game, no pretention, no difficulty, like a pass time
Discovered this game randomly in the steam sales, and I am very happy about it. It was a new experience for me (never played this type of puzzle game before) and puzzle games with time management always satisfy me.
(+)
1) Short game, I finished in 10 hours
2) The levels are pretty normal to beat as perfect (getting all the medals for achievements), I needed to play the same level for getting all medals for just once or twice.
3) It is fun to manage your resources and spend them in a order, for instance you need to build the quarry (when you need huge amount of stone for finishing the level) and the road that leads to quarry need woods to clear it, so for finishing the level in the fastest way, you need to use your worker(s) to get the wood and open the road, not trying to upgrade your farm and collect foods.
4) The levels gets complicated in some short of time, the portals that you need to build, building wells for the trees etc, after few levels, every goal is changing in a different way
in the end, you can call it *snack puzzle game* short, fun, good
(-)
1) After understanding the logic of the game, some levels will be very easy, whenever a new thing comes to the game, after a few levels, it will be pretty easy to beat it (especially after you get second worker)
2) The puzzle and the strategy based on a single type, you don't get any different way to reach to finishing the level while playing the game, for the first time you play, it is not a huge problem, but if you want to play this game's other versions, you might want to wait and play them later for not getting bored.
Pretty fun little micro-management game, not too difficult. There are a few challenging levels in terms of meeting the 3 star time limit. Firemen are arguably the most important building to get, because Merrymakers will most certainly ruin your day if left unchecked. Overall, definitely recommend if you are looking for something less intense and still enjoyable.
10/10 would DOOT a Merrymaker away again.
Cute easy game.
Levels would be challenging for younger players and those who have trouble concentrating or planning.
Pros:
- Each level lets you take as long as you want/need, despite the timer.
- The tutorial is very effective.
- Despite not being a proper puzzle game some levels do require levels of strategic planning, as well as a little luck.
- You can continue on with the story regardless of how many stars you earned for the previous levels, as long as you finish the level before moving on to the next.
- You can replay levels whenever you want.
- You are able to cancel actions after putting them into the queue.
Cons:
- The levels may be too easy. There was only one that I failed to get 3 stars on the first playthrough.

The Game Review
Game Visuals
I want to mention that the visuals in the game are well done. The visuals can be adjusted on the game's option menu.
Game Audio
I want to mention that audio for the game is well done. Even though the audio is somewhat simplistic and repetitive. The audio can be adjusted in the game's option menu as well.
Gameplay
There are no difficulty game modes to choose from. All levels has their own difficulty.
This is a strategy game, where careful planning is required, due to the limited amount of resources that are available.
There are four different landmasses with the total of forty-nine levels. Each of these levels has a set of objectives that needs to be completed.
The level tasks can be chained together. As long there is nothing blocking the path and/or enough resources in the storage bins.
All levels have a total of three stars. These stars are earned from playing the game. The stars represent how fast the level has been completed. There is an opportunity to replay levels for better star rating.
There are special bonus power ups to help complete the level faster. These special bonus power ups come with a time limit. But they can be used again after they have been recharged automatically.
There are twenty-three different achievements that can be unlocked from playing the game. Each of these achievements does come with some requirements that need to be completed before they can be unlocked.
Miscellaneous
There are five different trading cards to collect. Only three of those trading cards are given out by the game. There are several ways to get the rest of the trading cards: Purchased from the Steam's Community Market; Trade with friends; Booster Packs and its Booster Pack Creator.
Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for the game is low. I would recommend this game, but not at the game's full price value.
I feel slightly dissapointed with this game, but it's not going to stop me buying the next installment :/
Purchased for just under $6 NZD. Playtime = 9 Hours. Not bad, but I wish I had waited for a special.
As others have said, where is the challenge?? I really enjoyed the first Gnomes Garden, and was really excited to see a second one out, but this game seems permanantly stuck on easy? I think I had to restart maybe 2 levels and that was my fault for being distracted doing other things. Otherwise I easily passed every level on gold with quite a bit of time to spare.
The achievements are very achievable. You can get every single one just by playing through normally. The most challenging achievement being to get 3 stars on every level - as stated above, not hard to do.
Overall, not a bad game, very EASY, no replayability (IMO), but as previously mentioned, I will more than likely be buying any future installments even if I am a little dissapointed. If you are a fan of time management games on steam, this is a nice one to add to your collection :0)
I'm sorry but this was just a major let-down. I've become addicted to time management games after playing Hercules and have combed steam inside out for all time management games I could find. I had run out of games when I saw that gnomes garden 2 was released. Oh the joy! I played gnomes garden 1 right after hercules and found it to be a good game I enjoyed.
Gnomes garden 2 has NO challange to it whatsoever, I found it to be SO easy I was falling asleep and just fiddeling around with no strategy what-so-ever and still had TONS of time left on the 3 stars. At that rate I don't even see the point of the timer or the stars, it just all feels like a 100% casual game for granny.
In addition to that a few maps in, a map to rebuild stonehenge came up. I was fuming. It is a 99% carbon copy of a map from Gnomes garden 1. If I wanted to play the same maps with the exact same mission again I would just have replayed the first game, then at-least I'd be having fun because I might have to use some effort to beat the timer.
I am sad that the game I thought I'd be sitting here playing all night feeding my adiction for time management litterally made me fall asleep. I may be addicted, but there are limits!
For anyone looking for other time management games, here's a little list of what you can find on steam:
12 labours of Hercules
Gardens Inc.
Roads of rome
The tiny tale 2
Northern tale
Ballad of Solar
Island tribe
MOAI
Viking saga
Gnomes garden 1
The evil Troll Queen sent the Gnome Princess to a destroyed land. Will she manage to restore everything and show the wrong to the Troll Queen?
I must say that I've bought this game because I enjoyed the first one, the achievements are easy and there is trading cards, though they're not still dropping as not implemented yet. And there is no change in the gameplay for this one, so, don't mind my lazyness, I'll copy/paste that part from the first game review.
Like for 12 Labours of Hercules, the main character isn't helping at all. In other words, it's the servants that are doing all the work. Gnomes Garden 2 is a casual time management game where you have workers that are gathering resources needed (food, wood, stone and crystals), building mines (for the stone and crystals), farms and windmills (for the food), workshop (for the wood), upgrading these for a better production and repairing routes and other objectives (like light a fire or activate portals). However, the servants can be helped by witches (needed for some objectives - they can restore trees, plant them, activate portals, make the trolls or the sleeping golems disappear, grow lilypads) and firemen (helping objective plants to grow or to scare the little monster that will incapacitate your witch or servant from doing their jobs for a few seconds). And you'll repeat that for 50 levels.
However, there are temporary bonus, regenerating over time, that can be activated : run faster (your minions move faster), work faster (less time for the building to give the resources) and stop time (the timer is frozen for a limited time). And these are very handy if you want to reach the three stars. Indeed, you have a timer. If you go past a star, you're loosing it. The less time you spent, the more likely you'll keep three stars. And as it's an achievement, you're also motivated. Nothing is wrong to loose one or two in the first run, so that you can try different strategies for the level. However, keep in mind that sometimes, you need to manage tightly your resources: you may be lacking some of them when they're needed and can't advance anymore (example: no more stones for a hole in the road - the building that could have given you the resource is behind this hole and there is no other road to it - you're doomed to restart). One of the good points is that you're not limited in the tasks done by the servant, if you want to gather 3 woods and 2 foods, you can check them without restriction (compared to 12 Labours of Hercules where you couldn't indicate more than 3 tasks). Also, I found some improvement: the task that will be done is highlighted AND finally, the resplenishing for the bonus isn't no more affected by the use of another. On the downside, the timer bonus is now very slow to be full.
However, I found the levels more easier than in Gnomes Garden, as I only restarted a couple of levels and not many of them. I don't know if it's because I was more aware of how the game worked or not, but well, I finished it much faster if I compare the time: 5,8h against 7,8h. Well, when trading cards will be available, my time will raise.
As you can see, the gameplay isn't hard per se, it's just a matter of being efficient and to make the right choices (no need to upgrade a building to the maximum if the current level is sufficient or to upgrade the house - I've made the majority of the levels with two workers only). However, you don't have any other characters that can help. It's just the minions, not even the princess is present in the level to do something.
I found the graphics being more polished than in the first one. I don't know why but the map looked better, the presentation of the objectives were less harsh and I found the buildings and characters more alive. I don't know if it's a question of colors or a question of being used. However, the objectives in the bottom of the screen is still confusing, though now that I know of it, it seems less inconvenient than in the first game.
The soundtrack is also nice.
But while I preferred Gnomes Garden 2 to the first game, there is still the magic missing from 12 Labours of Hercules. The gameplay didn't improved at all apart for rebuilding a cable car and a statue of the king, the rest is the same as in Gnomes Garden. So, while I'm still recommending this game for any casual time management lover, I would advised you to wait for a real discount or for a bundle.
I've never really been into these kind of games, but this is actually a lot of fun. It's a time management game and each level you are given various tasks to complete. You use your gnomes to clear structures, build buildings, upgrade them, and gather resources.
There seems to be about 50 levels just by looking at the map which span across 4 different worlds. The graphics and animations and really nice looking and the soundtrack is relaxing. I'd expect at least 5 hours of gameplay if you do all the levels. Probably more than that.
If you're into time management games, I hear a lot of people saying this is one of their favorites. If you've never played time management games before, I think this is a nice one to start with, it's a lot of fun and I would recommend it.
I'm still not sure about the price. $4.49 (on sale at the moment) isn't that much and I think it's price fairly, but I think most of us are just spoiled by steam sales and getting games like skyrim and fallout for that price.
