To solve the puzzle, you need to click on a tile to change the colors of its neighboring tiles so that the expected pattern is reached. We have prepared lots of challenging levels, each including a PAR that displays the minimum number of turns necessary to complete the level. While appearing deceptively easy, the gameplay gets progressively harder to ensure the player is challenged at all times.
Minimal is very challenging and it will require a lot of brains to solve all the content. But don't worry, if you get stuck you can always go to other levels and come back later.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.
Flipping tiles, which toggles alternating pieces, to
suit colors designated for the stage design within exact moves.
Was interesting and easy in the early 30s,
until the yellow pieces appear, which gives a headache when puzzles requires clicking same spot.
Dreadful experience in the 50s and 60s, being too hard and brainstorming.
( wouldn't have solved some without the help of Guide hints )
When the green pieces appear, at 70s, game becomes pleasant again.
Got the game at dirt cheap discount, so was decent.
Buy only if 90% discounted.
Neutral recommendation.

Enjoyable game. Interesting puzzles with some sound and colours. Sometimes quite difficult, but the level selection is broad enough so that you often don't really get stuck. The levels in the late 50s are indeed hard, and I think that the level selection screen could use a better srolling mechanism.
It's the year 1995. Your drunk dad stumbles into a Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve. "I don't know what to buy that little s***," he says to himself, slurring. As he trudges through the barren toy department, he eyes a strange device--a device hanging by itself in the middle of the emptied wall space. That device: Lights Out; a game developed by Tiger Electronics.
Who would have known that your drunk father (RIP) was trying to prepare you for another game that would arrive 21 years later.
The Good:
- The game is definitely challenging.
- While there aren't a great deal of curveballs, the game adds a few twists as you progress.
- 250 levels.
- (Deceptively) relaxing visuals and sounds.
- Worth the $3 price tag.
- A lot of times there are various paths available, so you're not too limited if you get stuck.
The Neutral:
- I wish I didn't have to mouse through all the levels every time I start the game or want to go back to earlier ones.
- Some customization would be nice, especially when it comes to the colors of the squares.
- I'd like the ability to zoom in/out on the level map.
- As new elements are added, they are not really explained. Experimentation is key.
The Bad:
- The difficulty feels more like a chart for the DOW than a ramp.
- I could see some people having issues with the colors of the squares. Colors 1 and 4 are too similar.
Pro Tips:
- Sometimes it pays to isolate a specific square or set of squares instead of looking at the big picture. The rest may work itself out when you move past that.
- The solution is not always what it appears to be at first glance.
- Sometimes clicking things in a patternized way--only clicking on a certain color, certain position, etc.--can reveal the actual solution.
[*]When you get to level 50, buckle up. That's where a lot of people give up, but if you can power through that, it gets a bit easier.
Okay, so the game isn't exactly the same as Lights Out. It's more of an evolution of that concept, and it continues to evolve throughout the game.
Is the game hard? Yeah. I even had to hire a Russian to figure out a level so I could get a better understanding of what I was up against. He did it in a spreadsheet with color fills.
This game sat in my library for a while, but I'm glad I finally got around to playing it. I felt a semblance of happiness when I finally completed it.
It's a nice puzzle with cool soundtrack and Linux support.
The downside is that all the puzzles are of the same type, so they start to feel repetitive at some point if you play many puzzles in one go. I have went through the same loop many times - boot up the game, play through few puzzles, get tired of it, exit the game and forget about it for a few weeks; rinse and repeat.
I also was surprised that (at least for me) the third difficulty tier proved to be simpler than the second one.
Can recommend if you're a fan of the genre.
Awesome puzzle game. Really not for the weak minded. But the good part is, if you ever get stuck in a level, you can try other branches to get to the next level. And it is even better to play with the steam controller. ;)
After going through puzzles up TIER 16 (each tier has progressivly more puzzles per tier), and i gotta say it gets really reptetetive, until that point there were no more gimmicks or add-ons that makes the puzzle feel more intricate, execpt on a select few maps there is this mirror affect where if you activate one tile on one side the counterpart also activates. Its just to bad that this really feels frustrating to try and plan around.
So sadly already this game is worse than a free puzzle game on my phone :/
To add insult to injury the game is roughly 80 tiers of around 5+ levels per tier, so even if you get more features as you progress it will drive you mad trying to actually complete such a long game that has the excuse- oh sorry i mean "theme" of being minimalistic, ergo there is nothing but these 400~ puzzles, no soundtrack, no visualy pleasing backround, no clever story supporting it. nope just you doing puzzles for 3€.
I will disclaim that as puzzles go im really not a big fan of this perticular puzzles style either, all it is, is clicking a tile and the 9 adjacent tiles "activate" and activating an activated tile deactiviates it etc.
Im also going to mention the difficulty is really out of control. And i get that you might think im just dumb but thats not what i really mean, what i mean is for some reason the creators thought itd be smart to make certain tiles nonn clickable, so you are actually limited in what options to solve the puzzles wich makes the puzzles with kind of obvious patterns to become actual no-brainers. But at the other end some puzzles can have you just sit there and rageclick hoping to make yourself see the pattern.
bottom line is, if you like the nine tile activation style puzzle enough to do roughly 400 the go ahed, but if you are skeptic or just curious i really do recommend not bothering and instead getting one of the hunderds puzzle apps for your phone or just go to google and type in "free puzzle game" and chances are itl be just as good or even better.
