Escape: Close Call is an adrenaline pumping driving game which rewards near crashes with style points, encouraging risk and thrill seeking. Escape enemy vehicles increasing in difficulty while completing missions, maneuvering through the landscape, and earning coins to upgrade your vehicle with weapons. What's Next?
Escape is a complete and finished single player game, but we have many ideas on expanding the game and creating new modes. We plan on continuously updating the game and adding new features, which include:- Linux version.
- Record and playback run. In game recorder.
- More game modes, including real-time multiplayer (next update).
- New stages, new enemy vehicles.
- Level editor and Sandbox mode.
- VR support (Done).
- Graphics overhaul.
- Tweaking the game and fixing any possible bugs.
- And more, as time goes on and we get more feedback.

bad broken tutorial won't let you continue with the actual game, also the in game powerup menu is clearly a rough draft. 5000 other versions of this exact concept that do it cleaner

A tad tricky to master and sometimes utterly frustrating, but ultimately satisfying once you get the hang of it and move into the realm of adding precious milliseconds to your best time. And who hasn't secretly wanted to ram an ice cream truck into cop cars and then run over their zombie drivers?
There was a problem originally that made the controller unusable for oculus rift where it would crash constantly, but now it works perfectly. I've had no more crashes & it runs really well in VR now!!! A very fun and addictive game. Recommended.
A good fun game that recaptures the chaotic fun of the original top down gta games. Unfortuately it's hard to recommend for vr at this stage as it's very rudimentary, menus are impossible to navigate without taking the headset off and pointing it in the right direction so that you can see the menus on the screen to use the mouse to choose the options. This also means it's very difficult to see your objectives as they only show up for a short time when you start the game, and you need to spend this time getting the headset in place as the game starts pretty soon after. Xbox controller is also not well implemented for the menus, it works great for the gameplay, just not for menu navigation.
Graphics are basic, obviously the style that they're aiming for, but I'd hope the finished product will be a bit more polished, and the flashing double vision that you get sometimes is horrendous in VR, it really does need to be toned down.
I haven't put a negative review despite these issues because the core game is a lot of fun, and obviously a work in progress. Once everything is fixed up properly it'll be a great time waster!

Great game!
Didn't play much of the game yet, but I can tell you, it is a stress reliever.
This game itself is pretty fun and has a lot of stuff to unlock, but honestly, it's only worth it if you get it on sale. (hell, even a dollar on sale will be worth it.) The game itself currently has 25 vehicles to unlock, 12 powerups to use for your aid, or against your pursuers, and upgrades.
Awesome game! So much fun drifting around and watching the police destroy each other except for when they all decide to group up on you at the same time leaving you trying to fight off 20 police cars all racing towards you...

Addicting
The devs are awesome
Cool little zombies that make your screen go trippy
Simple controls
A shop to get upgrades which help in game
Other vehicles to use which require certain milestones giving you something to work towards
Cons:
The police can be a little bit over powering at times when you first start off

How can you last? 30 seconds? A whole minute? But OMG it's sooo much fun while you're playing and even though you feel like you don't last nearly long enough.. you will definitely want to getcha some more and more of this highly addictive fun! ...Get your mind out of the gutter now, lol.. Yes I'm talking about this game!
Awesome stuff. Drifting is super fun, and unlocking all the cars and perks should keep you coming back again and again. Well worth the price of admission with tons of replay value, goals to achieve and online scores to beat!
