Terrible Game
The game title didn't lie, press space to jump. Although levels are half-random in structure, they become predictable after 30 seconds. Includes a story mode with preset levels and a confusing ending.
It's not fun to play. Dead every 15 to 20 seconds. The music is also monotonous. In order to be able to play a new round, you have to grab the mouse every time and click on a field which is also buggy. By the 10th time at the latest, it's really annoying. Just crap and not worth a penny.
Height and distance are inconsistent which occasionally just ruins a good run. Large spikes have an inconsistent and ridiculous hit box. Even as far as runners go, this one isn't good. I swear sometimes you get a map that looks familiar but the water is just one pixel longer than normal to make it actually impossible, just to throw off any kind of muscle memory you might have developed.
Mindless Running is a mobile game that has gained some attention recently, but it's not without its flaws. Here are a few negative aspects of the game:
1. Repetitive gameplay: The gameplay of Mindless Running is very repetitive. The player must tap the screen to make the character jump and avoid obstacles. While this may be entertaining for a short time, it quickly becomes monotonous.
2. Lack of depth: There is very little depth to the game. There are no levels or different game modes to play, so the player is stuck doing the same thing over and over again.
3. Annoying ads: The game is riddled with ads. Every time the player dies, they are forced to watch an ad. This can be frustrating and take away from the overall enjoyment of the game.
4. Limited customization: There are very few customization options in Mindless Running. The player can change the character's outfit, but there are no other options available.
5. Lack of innovation: The game does not bring anything new or innovative to the table. It feels like a copy of many other endless runner games, without any unique features to set it apart.
Overall, while Mindless Running can be a fun time-waster, it falls short in many areas such as repetitive gameplay, lack of depth, and annoying ads.

If your day is going too well, just start up this game and all your happiness is gone.
Gameplay is very simple - you just press spacebar and time it to perfection. Graphics are made to look retro-ish but have ended up looking unfinished. Sounds are entertaining at first but get annoying very quickly. Menu is very simple and the fact that settings even exist is unbelievable. Save game function does not exist. High scores are very difficult to achieve.

Are you dreaming for easy 100%? This game is not for you. You're gonna break your keyboard. First your neighbours gonna hear you screaming and then they will hear you crying. You have been warned.
My review is negative only because it's too hard IMO and frustrating because of this.

Ugly, unfunny and unplayable
[rage]First few minutes I thought it was a joke and was browsing ingame in hope of finding something like "Pony Island", no luck..
No one can with good concience release this crap. There really is nothing even close to axeptable about this ..NOT 1 THING. Characters are pointless, retro is a joke, sound is worse than someones 1st violin practice, level design is at par with watching the sewer:
-spikes appear in window about when you jump only to find you jump to late
-spikes are same texture/color as background
-margin of making a succesful jump is micro seconds
-624 other things.
There are many games one shouldnt like but end up playing for hours cause they have that "just 1 more time" factor;
-This is NOT one of them.
I have never hated a game faster than this.. or more! Id rather stick my head in a clogged toilet and take a deep breath, than play this ever again. Spending time with Mr. Wilson would a the better alternative to this stupid ******
Anyone involved in this game shouldnt even be allowed to play boardgames for the rest of their lives.

Its called mindless running for a reason. This game is funny. I laugh alot when I die at 9990 score points. Thats the comedy.
... Even "MARIO" had a double jump for christ's sake! This game, it's music, the graphics.. All wonderful. But the motion blur past a certain point in each level will lag your poor PC to high hell. The controls are just, JUMP. That. Is. It. WOW Gameplay!
But that's not what hurt me, what hurt me is that this reminded me alot of the battletoads, but only the speed-racer part. Where you have to memorize every single jump and time it perfectly or else you would die and restart from the beginning, NO CHECKPOINTS. It was as if they thought
"that!"
"that part should be a whole game by itself!"
Who in their right minds wants to play that specific ragey terrible bit of a good game, but less hopeful in this game, because that ragey bit is all you are going to get.
I tried to give this game a chance, aside from the terrible scripting in the story mode and the "laggy pan effect motion blur" on every level. My eyes hate you for this, 2/10 because "MindJack" cost more than this, and if I want to self mutiliate, I'll just play this game instead, saving me the scars.
Cons:
-Really clunky menus.
-Jumps only from space.
-If you die, it takes 10 seconds for the game to start a new level.
(unbearable, as you die ever so often)
-Doesn't support all the graphic options in the menu.
-Even if you like endless runner clones like Turbo Pug, this is just not fun to play.
I bought this for the trading cards, but was such a pain to play I ended up returning it.

I got a coupon for this game for about 90% off I think and mostly bought it for the trading cards. I love the music of this game and cute animals to play as but the gameplay is horrible.
I recommend just running the game for the music and not play it at all.
This is an endless runner with a 5 minute long storymode. The game is riddled with bugs of all sorts. Sometimes you don't even get the character you choose, some patterns are not even possible (not just bad luck or timing, just outright impossible) the only possible level i've found so far in endless mode is the desert.
The achievements don't popup outside of the desert for myself and my girlfriend. The game requires pixel perfect timing on almost every 10 jumps.
I strongly do not recommend this game.

If you thought Geometry Dash was hard.....think again. This game is hard but satisfying. I nearly broke my controller on several occasions playing in free mode.
Thoughts.
The game for it's price is well worth it, it gives you the choice of playing in free mode or in story mode.
In freemode you play for points in an endless level which is quite difficult, everytime you die you respawn in a different level, this gives freemode some variety.
In storymode you have to find the character's grandma through different worlds. 5 levels(I think) which all have a unique "HARD" obstacle which will probably require a few tries to perfect.
At the final level you play with an amazing beautiful song that literally makes you want more(the song resets when you die) so you keep playing until you manage to complete it.

The achievements are achieved by completing the story mode and reaching specific milestones in freemode.
The verdict.
This game is definetely worth the price. This game is perfect for when you have nothing else to play.
I give this game a 8/10.
Start the game, look at the interface, think that your 5 year old brother can make it better than this. Keep staring at the screen for a while wondering what's up with this shitty music. Start story mode, keep thinking about why you purchased the game. Read the captions, laugh. Start playing, die. Repeat for the next 2 hrs. Get good at the game and roll ahead. Keep thinking that the game was not worth all this money, you could've had a nice meal at McDonald's or Dominoes with that money. Regret. Go back to playing Dota 2.

Probably the MOST FRUSTRATING game to 100% Achievements on I've EVER played, across ANY platform!
The precise timing involved in this game is EXCRUCIATING, ESPECIALLY on a laggy old clunker of a computer!
That being said, it's:
A. Cheap
B. has trading cards (cheap ones, even the foil ones!)
and
C. is 100% Achievable achievement-wise (gah! painful non-grammaratical errors!)
Once the frustration of 100%ing this game is over, it's pretty enjoyable afterwards...
WARNING: If you quit Story Mode to the Main Menu FOR ANY REASON, it WILL send you back to level ONE on Story Mode!
GOOD NEWS: Story Mode is only 4 levels long...

For the Never Forget cheevo, sit in the end credits after story mode until it pops.

This game is recommended for its cheapness and access to trading cards and 100% cheevo'ability! =^_^=
"The impossible pet run"
Mindless running is a clone of "The impossible game". Instead of a jumping square you have squared cute animals that run through a sprite landscape. For a quick reactions game is just the story mode with the simple mechanics OK. But in endless mode you die trying to reach the 10k points.
Reasons:
1. Game runs laggy as hell
2. Newly in endless mode introduced double size spikes
3. Sloppy hitboxes - sometimes you die before even touching the spikes or when you are already on the platform above or only close by some water
The main problem is like in every kind of this game type: The controls are way too rudimentary. Means you can just control the start of your jump but not faster going down or in-flight adjustments are possible. So if you try to ascend spiked stairs every jump must be fitting perfectly or you'll explode instantly. Another bad are the sometimes low exposed spikes like in yellow desert brown spikes. 2/8 chooseable characters are completly useless. Turtle & Dolphin cannot jump over long gaps because of slowness.
Update: Dev introduced a new character - the puppy dog - with which is the 10k achievement much more easier (more steaks, faster points gaining). I think it's a great gesture and makes the game completely fun now. Thumbs up!
Yes it's hard, but not because you just suck at it but because it feels rigged for failure.
You have to press the space bar to jump over spikes which are either vertical or horizontal and 9 times out of 10 you will die even though you didn't touch the spike. This is why this game gets a thumbs down. It's not good hard, it's stupid hard.
The other complaint I have is that with some maps it's difficult to see the actual spikes because they are almost the same colour as everything else.
I guess if you really hate yourself you could give this a go?
In this game you'll repeat the classic running game phrase, "but I didn't even hit the spike!", over and over again.
With great regret, I just can't recommend this game.
As a runner game, it should make the player want to keep playing with its replayabilty. This game doesn't manage to do this, which has deeply disappointed me. Then again, it's not too horrible either.
Pros;
-Interesting combination of adventure, story and running games.
-Steam trading cards, achievements and partial controller support.
-4 playable characters
-Potential (its something new)
-Two modes (story and run)
Cons;
-No replayability
-Every run feels very much the same.
-The most annoying death sound of all time.
-Slow process from death to running again.
-No checkpoints (only really an issue in story point)
-You can't save any progress in story mode.
