Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is definitely not in my top 3 of the Lego Star Wars series. While it brings the usual fun and humor of Lego games, it just didn’t capture the magic of some of the earlier titles in the series. The gameplay is solid, but it feels a bit repetitive, and it doesn’t have the same charm and excitement that Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga or Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars brought.
One of the main issues for me was how it felt like it was just trying to follow the movie a little too closely, without bringing enough new or creative elements to the table. The levels felt more linear, and there wasn’t that same sense of freedom and exploration that I loved in other Lego Star Wars games.
It’s still a fun game if you’re a Star Wars fan or a fan of Lego, but it’s not something that stands out as a must-play in the Lego Star Wars series for me.
Wonderful Game! does a great job of telling the story of The Force Awakens in Lego form I also love the side quests/story's it's a wonderful game the graphics and quality, I would recommend to Star-Wars fans!
its just goo bro its a vibe
plays for bit and then crashes reccmend getting the skywalker saga aposed to this since doesnt crash and you get all the epsodes
recommended

Star Wars!
Don't get it twisted, I don't necessarily think this is a bad game, but I do feel a bit ambivalent towards it. If you like the sequel trilogy and TFA, you'll probably like this game, but if not, you probably won't (shocker, I know). Most of my issues with the game are really a result of the source material it's based on, but unfavorable bias towards the sequel trilogy aside, I can't say I enjoyed playing through the story too much. As far as Lego game standards go, I found the story levels to be a bit lackluster; plus, it felt like the game was stopping every other minute to play an arbitrary cutscene to pinpoint really obvious puzzle elements, which did no favors for the pacing of the gameplay. That being said, I did find myself enjoying the post game content quite a bit more. The bonus levels are (generally) pretty fun, and the DLC levels are (genrally) even better. Still, if you're craving a Lego game, I hold firm that there are better options than this one.
i love lego star wars
Better than the skywalker saga! super accurate to the movies, with the perfect amount of movie to humor balance.
.
Dont bother trying to sex anyone, it isnt worth it.
Wanted it since I first saw it as a child, ONE of the very good if not best lego games that they maked
ugh why i keep buying these?
lego
This game is better than the Skywalker Saga one!, the graphics is better and the animations are also better, even the game is also cheap, even the character textures, models, and also the robots, they shine and look more realistic, I would recommend this game!
The missions are unfun, and uninspired.
Can't select on which monitor you want this game to run. BS
good game recommeced buying
Some Changes and humorous plot twists to the original story. I like it! I recommend it to you to buy it with LEGO STAR WARS: The Skywalker Saga!
Pros:
- Based off of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens
- DLC Levels are fantastic
- Big Character Roster, if you own all the DLC characters
- Carbonite Bricks are an ambitious addition
- Fantastic Soundtrack, especially when it comes to The Funk Awakens
- Most Cutscenes replicate the charm of Episode VII: The Force Awakens
- Rey is very cool
- Perfect on Steam Deck
Cons:
- Quick Time Events can make boss fights very dull and abysmal
- The Phantom Limb Level Pack and the Droid Character Pack were not part of the Season Pass
- Side Missions are ultimately reliant on trial and error
- Collecting various items gets repetitive quickly
- There were crashes when players tried playing the game, but thankfully that got fixed
love lego games
Never thought I'd write a negative review for a LEGO game but here we are.
Somehow the buggiest LEGO game I've ever played, worse than even the original LEGO Star Wars games.
Some of the new minigames and interactions absolutely suck on controller and they decided on the gameplay side of things they'd include these really tedious mandatory cover shooter sections in every level. Like all LEGO games your kids will probably like it but there were better LEGO games before it and better LEGO games after it.
Maybe skip this one.
I usually don't write negative reviews, but i just couldn't hold myself with this one
This game is the worst lego game i've ever played, it has a ton of game breaking glitches and crash issues, the fact that this game only adapts 1 movie would make it small, but TT Games didn't want that, so they added filler levels, which are just straight up boring. DO NOT BUY THIS, the skywalker saga is 10x better in every single way, the only reason i would consider buying this game again is to 100% every single lego game, otherwise not worth it
as obscure as lego the force awakens is its one of my favorite movie adaptations in lego as youd expect it follows the story of episode 7 while having the very first level in the game to feature a prologue of the battle of endor its an overall good game with character DLCs from various eras such as the clone wars and star wars rebels
There is quite a lot of glitches but I haven't encountered any game breaking ones - just ones that require a restart of the game which can be annoying at times. There are crashes but this is common for Lego games on steam. If you like Lego, I think this game is fine - I don't like the hubs however, preferred the way it was done in the complete sage.
If you want to 100% achievements all 4 extra missions are required.
Many have likened this game to butter being spread too thinly over bread. There is some truth to that with some minor filler content. The game dramatically shook up the Tt's games LEGO formula. It introduced multi-builds, outstanding space combat, revolutionized normal combat, and introduced four excellent hub worlds. Do yourself a favour and pick it up. Just wait for a sale first
I love Lego but this game has a lot of glitches. I have 3 times in 4 hours had to restart the game due to a glitch that prevented advancement. If glitches where gone, this would be a great game.
Worst Lego Star Wars game :/
it is super good
Remember the original Lego Star Wars games, and you thought they were the greatest things ever because you were 8 years old and had no standards?
Ditto.
I love the Lego games! Linux friendly :)
It Literally will not load into the Main Menu.
I've tried EVERYTHING they've shown online. I've spent HOURS troubleshooting. The Lego games are particularly unstable. Even the Harry Potter games have issues (especially years 1-4)
Unironically the best Lego game. Amazing voice acting, one of the most serious Lego games, no tedious vehicle races for 100%, and the best thing of all... being able to play in Borderless Windowed!
Sure, some levels go on a little too long, but that's worthy trade for literally everything else
Doesn't work. Servers are down.
They are still selling this game at full price, the servers have been taken down and the game crashes on start up. The fucking Gaul!
game crashes
Redownloaded recently, and magically doesn't work. If this is a trick to get people to buy the skywalker saga, I'm not falling for it. Fix yo shit
Yes, absolutely. The graphics, the jokes, the characters. It's the usual Lego stuff in a Star Wars settings.
Although it uses the old Games for Windows Live, there is a workaround by deleting a file, then it works flawlessly.
Simply unplayable, 100% crash rate before I've been able to even SELECT a single level. Tried playing online and offline and I'm not competent enough on fiddling with pc files to implement the potential work arounds.
game crashed
I asked for a refund because the game didn't work, I always forced to quit, I was happy because I bought this game, but because of this game error I became upset, I didn't want to know I wanted my money back
No longer works, workarounds disable DLC and Achievements
I am leaving this review here simply to show a fix i found and explain how it works in more detail for if other games have a similar issue or for people to actually be ware off how to fix it and why it's broken
Tldr/solution: in appdata\roaming\warner bros. Interactive entertainment\ lego star wars the force awakens\GUI3\Assets in there delete the file visitlego_offline_dx11 .TEX and it should be fixed
first i'm going to mention some other fixes i found and explain their flaws i still mention them because they lead me to finding the actual fix
Other fixes:
There are recommendations (notably in the steam community) to delete the gui3 folder entirely or to rename it but this only works to play offline due to steam fixing the files on launch
There is a fix where you simply remove everything in the gui3 folder without deleting subfolders this works as well as the fix i mentioned in the tldr it's simply a bit less useful and more time consuming due to there only being 1 actual problematic file
the actual problem file and explanation on why the other files are harmless:
The visitlego file is the one causing the game to automatically try to connect to servers and is the core issue due to the server not existing any longer it makes the game have an error and crash
the other files in the subfolders are fine and harmless (in the Assets subfolder those are simply links to websites and those still work and just open your steam browser: the dlc and season pass bring you to their steam pages while the 3rd one simply goes to a lego website)
Game crashes 100% of the time after trying to connect to servers. There's no actual way to fix it aside from playing without internet connection which makes you unable to get achievements. The game is literally unplayable.
DO NOT BUY THIS
Worst LEGO Star Wars game ever created
Keeps crashing when game try to connect servers
good for its price
"epic"

its a fun game if you like casual lego games and even more casual star wars games
