This is a nice version of Sudoku, with interesting variations.
What I like: Positives are a range of achievements to that give an additional goal to game-play, some useful power-ups that let you play the way you want to, a nice look and feel to the artwork and an easy to use interface on PC. I particularly like the variation with coloured blocks overlayed across the grids, so you need to take an extra set of boundaries into account. On the most part, its enjoyable to play.
What I dont like: The more advanced levels have overlapping grids. These are too large to be displayed on the screen at once, and you need to click & drag the screen to see the grids. I also find these grids hard to complete without the power-up that pencils in the possible options. It's a bit hard to describe. Instead of a traditional grid of 3 x 3 boxes, these give the player two 'overlapping; puzzles that share some grids where the puzzles overlap, so you may have a grid of say 5 boxes x 3 boxes through the middle. Logically, each block of 3 boxes should have numbers 1 to 9 in them. Yet in Sudoku Quest, you can have the same number appear twice in a block of 3 - depending on where the game is drawing the boundary of each of the overlapping puzzles. Baffling! I find it irritating to fail the game when it's unclear that in one set of rows, the numbers are independent from the ones in the next box, yet in another game, they are not.
There are other minor issues, already mentioned in reviews. The sound is not great, and the power-ups are not explained on screen so you keep having to refer back to the user guide to remember what they do until you've played a bit.
Final verdict: A nice version of Sudoku, and for the price I'm willing to forgive a few irritations.

Recommendation
I enjoyed the endless puzzles of Sudoku Quest. I liked the variety of puzzles, helpfulness of the power-ups, and the easy viewing of the color palette. However, I struggled with the sound effects, remembering the power-up effects, and the possibility of multiple solutions to puzzles. I did not experience it myself, but other users have reported crashes with certain software drivers. I recommend Sudoku Quest to players looking for a simple endless Sudoku game that are willing to forgive it the multiple solutions and do a little investigation into software compatibility.
I originally bought this for my wife, as she loves solving Sudoku puzzles... and she more or less forgot that the game existed after a single play-though. I thought to myself, "Hey, maybe its just that she's not as into gaming as I am. I'll give it a try". Nope. It's just a fundamentally boring experience all in all. If you want to play Sudoku, I would suggest just doing so in the weekly newspaper rather than paying for this.
2/10
Sudoku. Enough said.
It would be a great sudoku game, but due to some crashes, I cannot reccommend it.
I was playing on my PC, and suddenly it started to crash on the launch. I moved to my laptop, and it was everything fine until recently, when the game stopped on the loading screen forever.
Also, the game never worked offline. It would be perfect to play while traveling, since this is a casual game, but you need a connection or the game crashes.
I tried to contact the support, but the page indicated on the steam doesn't exist. It seems the devs stopped supporting the game.
I liked very much the interface, and the theme, but with those unsolved problems I cannot reccomend this game.
Won't work off-line have to be on steam or else game crashes graphics for numbers atrocious supposed to be hand drawn pencil very difficult to see
It's sudoku. Not much more to say other than that to be honest.
Biggest issue is how you select a number. Instead of clicking on a box and a wheel coming up to let you pick which number to choose you have to push the number at the bottom then move to the squares you wish to place the number in. Doesn't sound to bad to some people, but when you are in adventure mode and you only get ten mistakes, it really messes you up when you are going fast.
Also, I'd probably wait for this to go on sale. $3- $4 maybe.
This is a decent Sudoku game. You've got to be careful on adventure mode, as your tenth incorrect guess means you loe and have to restart. If you try to solve the puzzles quickly, this means if you press a few wrong keys (say there's a cold day and your fingers lock up a bit), that's it.
There's a number of things to help you, if you need the help. Those powerups could have been improved a lot, especially if mousing over them told you what they actually did!
I notice some comments about stability, but the game has been very stable for me so I believe any issues were resolved.
Overall I recommend this game.

Srsly this game can be more than this. 7/10
bringing soduko back
Not worth the money. Poorly made.
Nice game for Sudoku enthusiasts, but there is no much more besides it, still all around the core sudoku works beautifully; interface, gameplay and the different modes are very interesting, some i havent played before and found pretty well done. Again is not for everyone, but if you like Sudoku is definetely a very decent game
Divided on this game really, I'm a fan of sudoku, so played quite abit of sudoku games. Puzzles here are abit on easy side (got to level 8 sofar, they probably get harder.) Lost most of my lives to controls, which is were the main annoyances lie. They don't explain much in controls, right click can move you about to see on the multi-board, gotta be careful on note taking vs entering to not accidently put in wrong number, and sofar I hit two boards that have multple answers but game takes a life if you don't enter the one it wants. And sofar havn't seen a way to recover life so that looks to be a major annoyance since losing all lives puts you back at level 1.
Getting use to controls, if it wern't for the multiple anwser but you lose a life if you guess wrong I'd probably drift into the recomend area but with annoyances for lovers of sudoku .
