Deliver Us The Moon

A compelling story that imo echoes those of the movies; "Interstellar" and "Ad Astra." Which is a complement! And considering its more concise (and not "short") game length it's a terrific way to spend an evening or two playing as a movie protagonist.

An interesting adventure game where you are tasked to investigate the missing moon colony whose main purpose is to generate power and beam it back to earth using a hi tech microwave beam facility, you are the last hope of an energy starved and dying earth to find out what happened and restart the energy transfer.

I don't usually like games where you have to do a lot of third person jumping and enemy avoidance sequences, but this story was compelling and interesting from start to end. The tense moments where you can fail or screw up are well choreographed and spaced to ensure you get a challenge as you venture from earth to the moon base in your adventure. Generally you are met with numerous physical challenges and puzzles that hinder you along the way. Even for someone who don't usually like these genre it was ok as the mystery pulls you through and you will also get a little cute companion later in the middle of it, to accompany your lonesome journey. It may feel alone and eerie at times due to the lack of other human interactions as this will be mostly environmental manipulation and interaction all in all. Not too long and not too short, funny though the second playthorugh makes the game seems so much easier to complete compared to the first round when you expect danger at every corner as if aliens would come a hunting you or a biohazzard deus ex machina monster threatens you, but in the end its not an horror story but still the tension is palatable the first time, including all the tense times you face oxygen limiting challenges. The second time to get the achievements somehow made is quite silly to feel so stressed the first round over once you know all the tips and tricks.

Lovely graphics, good straightforward story line, compelling pacing, logical puzzles and great music makes it worth a play. A bit linear for some but i don't mind. Can't believe this was among the better kickstarter games, truly some good ones did come out of the platform.

I play on a Ryzen 5 2600, 8gb ram, MSI 1050ti. I had no trouble running this game at the highest graphics setting. I just started playing games for achievements, and this is my first one fully completed. It took me 3 or 4 days (kids, lol), and I found it to be extremely pleasant! I normally play cozy games, and this one only had about 4 or 5 stressful points for me. I had received Deliver Us Mars for free on Epic and picked this up on sale. This is way better! I love the little puzzles and the fact that there's no combat, and only one section of the game that involves "enemies"! Took 3 playthroughs to get all achievements, make sure you actually press "read" on all the moonman comics, might save you some time!

I am not a very big fan of adventure/puzzle games but I really enjoyed this one. It was a nice little story and the puzzles were reasonable. The game is not very difficult but was fun for the story and setting. I thought this was a decent adventure game and would recommend it. I look forward to playing the sequels.

The only negative thing I have to say about it is it did start to stutter in a few sections toward the end of the game. Most of the game ran smooth though at max settings.

That's one of those games that should have an in between review option. The graphics are good, animations are well done most of the time and the devs knew when to switch between FPP and TPP. Sometimes movement is clunky, but nothing to complain. I played the game on Steamdeck and had very nice performance most of the time - I experienced few frame rate drops, but it was never a game breaking experience.
I wouldn't elaborate on the story, I with there would be more, maybe additional level with the 3rd Ark as it was mentioned. It wasn't bad, the pacing was okay, still nothing to write home about.

But the puzzles... This game is focused on the puzzles, but there are unfortunately just few types of those, and are never done with any twists. If you can solve the initial ones, you just follow the pattern. Most of those are "there are gates A and B, you need to get past those with an item C that's getting stuck behind A so you need to recover it before you open B".
And for a chill exploration game about a story and puzzles, there are way too much timed sequences. And they do not change anything - if you fail, you just need to do them again, to squeeze few actions within a narrow time frame.
And some puzzles (especially [spoiler] those with killer drones, that shock you with electricity [/spoiler) are simply done much faster if you run through them. Suddenly, when game requires you to juggle items and open doors in a sequence, there are rooms that look like puzzles but if you want to get over with those quickly - you just run and are done with those.

All in all I had a good time, hence the positive review. For a first game of a small studio - an awesome achievement, some moments were breathtaking and plain amazing. Still don't put your expectations up too high if you want a puzzle-solving mind-bender.

A visually stunning walking simulator with a solid story. A few of the puzzles felt a little janky and the voiceover work is up and down, but most elements of Deliver Us The Moon feel like AAA production quality.

I'm surprised this earned a Steam Deck 'Verified' rating, as I did deal with a number of serious performance issues on my OLED where framerates dropped into the single-digits. I didn't tweak any settings, so perhaps I could have solved these issues myself.

If you're into sci-fi stories and breathtaking set pieces you'll likely enjoy this title.

Almost unplayable at some points. So much negative feedback for the ending sequence. I will recomand only to people that have enough free time to sit trough this bad replays. Tho story is likable, graphics are amazing. No value in replaying unftil it is fixed.

Has amazing atmosphere, however there are a host of issues, for one thing on my 12700k/4090 setup the end of the game has unbearable hitching. I can only imagine what this is like on lesser systems. Another issue would be really poor checkpoint management where the only thing you are doing within that checkpoint is simple puzzles made tedious by the floaty movement/controls. Not to mention you can get stuck on geometry and have to replay the section due to a bug. Too frequently I found myself really annoyed unfortunately. Appreciate the atmosphere and story of the game but I can't say I had fun.

A really enjoyable, story focused game that doesn't overstay its welcome. The collectables were interesting and fun to collect throughout my playthrough. Would recommend to anyone on its usual sale.

The concept and game mechanics were good. Some puzzles made you think through the correct pattern to pass through. Overall, a very refreshing game. The only negative is the final MPT alignment sequence. While it captures the emotion of the situation, the difficulty in the alignment can be frustrating until you understand how the mechanics work.

It's a really fun mysterious little adventure. I enjoyed playing it. But for 4h of gameplay, don't buy it full price.

Calling this anything other than a walking simulator is deceptive advertising. If you decide to get this game, get it on sale, and if you don't like it in the first 2 hours of playtime... you won't like it at all, so refund it. Absolutely avoid it's sequel, Deliver us Mars, which is a total catastrophe in design.

Look, it's atmospheric and a cool idea but it just doesn't really work.

Really enjoyed the game. It’s atmospheric, immersive and has a mix of challenges that are not overly difficult to overcome, so it doesn’t get frustrating trying to progress. The story is interesting so you are easily motivated to explore and put the pieces together. Would recommend this game to cozy gamers who enjoy story, exploration and atmosphere.

This game sits in an awkward uncanny valley between walking simulators, platforming puzzles and quick time events and the bad world building and horrible writing do not help.

I quite enjoyed this game, not to difficult, but a few of the puzzles took me a bit to work out. Overall really enjoyed the story, pace and interactivity of the game!

It's a shorter game but still a great story. The controls were clunky at first but after some adjustment on mouse DPI and settings on my end, it was definitely playable. Worth it, especially if it's on sale.

Deliver Us The Moon is an excellent sci-fi game that wants to tell a meaningful story comparable to that of a movie. The characters are easily the highlight with their intertwined relationships, displayed through holograms, and they ultimately contribute to the story and overall message it tries to convey. This game is easily the best piece of fiction I've seen in months, and one of the best I've seen ever. Another wonderful thing is in the ending, which made me look forward to the next game, which I bought 2 days after finishing this game.

I mean it is just a few simple puzzles with some running around, few stealthy sections (well, 2 actually). It's mid, mid story, mid optimization, mid gameplay. For a buck it's okay. I will see if the sequel is better.

Loved it. The game immerses you in a lonely atmosphere. The story telling is intriguing, and the music is top notch, too. Kinda feels like Chris Nolan's Intersteller made into a game, except it's on the moon.

The actual gameplay isn't fantastic, but passable. It's more like a playable short novel. The puzzles are fairly easy and do not overstay their welcome. It's a pretty short game. (I beat it in 5 hours, and I was not even like speedrunning.) But no complaints for the price - literally just a few bucks on sale. Definitely recommended.

My only real complaint is the dumb fuck QTEs. They kill the suspense, not enhance it. Beware the monorail.

Beautiful space and moon settings, great soundtrack, nice puzzles, rich story. An astronaut experience that's truly memorable.
So yes, if space and puzzles are up your alley, it's totally worth your time.

This is a light platforming puzzle solving game. It's quite relaxing and interesting. You basically land on a moon base and try to find out what happened while fixing some offline machines.

The music is great and the environments are amazing. really has a great soundtrack for being in space.

performance wise I would recommend to not play with RT on. It causes the game to stutter quite a bit and TBH you're not really missing out on anything by having it off.

Played on steam deck and for the most part it's runs well, game its self is good but when getting outside the frame rate drops to 10-15 even on low settings, I managed to get through it as I can put up with these things but it does spoil it

This game is worth trying if you enjoy space and a short yet interesting plot. It had an amazing feeling of space, and the graphics and atmosphere truly created the mood. If you have common sense, the puzzles were rather simple and didn't need a lot of mental processing. Basically, you just wander from point A to point B while occasionally solving puzzles and listening to holographs or audio logs to learn more and more about the plot. I beat the game in five hours, therefore I think you should wait until it's on sale.

Quick little game that you can beat in a weekend and have a good time doing it. Starts real slow but the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. if you want to Speedrun though it you're missing the point.

First time playing a space themed 1st/3rd person game outside of the Star Wars and Star Trek type of genres. Thought it had a good, believable story line that really made the game-play enjoyable. For anyone who enjoys puzzle games and space adventure, this is a good pick.

Pretty nice short game with excellent atmosphere. Now I know people are controversial on the whole "walking sim" deal some games have and this one toes the line on that subject but there's enough substance that it doesn't go over it. The story building through notes and small conversations are interesting while the environment is fun to look at and explore. The gameplay is a little jank but that's fine for me, honestly I sometimes vibe with the whole "indie feel" of these kinds of games. It is kind of short but it's short and sweet. I'd give this game about 7/10 maybe 7.5/10 for space fans (the rocket launch gave me shivers), worth about 5 bucks, which is the normal sale price so pick it up if you have the chance!

Story and atmosphere are good. It has some great and memorable moments. At first I also enjoyed the puzzles.

But then the game tried to mix things up. I could tolerate the quick time events. Even the timed sequences. The godawful timed platforming with some of the worst jumping mechanics I have ever seen. But platforming while being two-shotted by robots? Then respawning right in front of them? Fuck that.

Do yourself a favor and skip this one. The sequel is way less annoying.

Short, satisfying, story-based puzzler. Basically an intriguing movie that you play the central character in. Reading all lore, watching all holograms, and listening to all the audio logs really helps to flesh out the story. Watching the credits has a story payoff that caps off the ending, so don't skip them. My only gripes were that movement sometimes felt a little too floaty (even for the story taking place on the moon)...though it didn't serve to pull me out of the game's atmosphere, which is dripping with style here. On the performance front, in 2024, things ran pretty well, though Ray Tracing, even with DLSS on caused even my 3080 to struggle. The technical implementation of graphics features seems pretty well done overall, but I'd recommend playing without Ray Tracing on unless you have a 40 series card or better. Overall, this game gets a solid 7.5/10 from me and is enough to make me look forward to playing Deliver Us Mars and Deliver Us Home (once the latter of the two release).

Great little game! Essentially a space murder mystery, platform/ puzzle adventure. The story is largely linear, and it's not confusing what the missions are. The plot is quite thick and developed, albeit a little cliche. The control and graphics are alright. Sometimes, particularly in the time sensitive challenges, the controls become a little janky, but otherwise I did enjoy the game!

The puzzles aren't too difficult and give you a sense of accomplishment. Good pacing that drives forward progression and helps keep your attention. Cannot recommend for Steamdeck unfortunately. This game has full compatibility but is barely playable in some of the later stages (10-20 FPS with lowest settings)

Pretty good, abandoned space stations is always an interesting concept, and the bioshock esque storytelling is also well done.

The game deserves much more popularity. It is aesthetically sweet, it is perfectly balanced, it doesn't take months to pass. The story is brilliant, the mood, the visuals, the music and sound, all top notch. I'm happy I didn't miss this gem.

The game is REALLY one of the best. The story is phenomenal, the atmosphere of the game (pun intended) is really cool and beautiful. It's like Christopher Nolan decided to become a game developer, the graphics, the physics, they are all just amazing. Every single aspect of this game has been thought through by the developers really well, there is NOT ONE part of the game I do not like, achieving this is no easy thing for any developer.

Excellent gameplay, good music, stimulating puzzles, and a beautiful backdrop. What's not to love?

While relatively short, the storyline captures the imagination - in a world that is quite plausible. The ending had me in tears, and surprised me with an after-credits scene. For those about to play/playing - don't skip it! Amazing job KeokeN Interactive and Wired Productions - I'm off to play Deliver Us Mars.
