Mystery of Unicorn Castle: The Beastmaster

Giant rats, a unicorn, and ghosts? Sign me up this is going to be a good time. This game gives you options on how you tackle situations which in a minor way does impact the story ending or how fast you deal with a situation. The options to choose to help someone is a cool feature for a HOG even though it’s kind of funny that if you choose to deny to help you still have to do the task anyways but they just are saltier to you during it. In the settings make sure you turn on the hero's voice option, it’s a real treat to have him narrate his moves and thoughts. There were times where I thought he would start a sentence with "Gamer here", he is just that cool.

Fun story and puzzles, great graphics, many in-game achievements to hunt (tho sadly no steam achievements). This game is engaging and definitely worth a buy!

Its a relaxing and interesting story line. It is nice and creepy too.

Fun game. Good balance of HOS and mini-games. Collectible jack-o-lanterns. Game outcome based on karmic decisions. In game achievements. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Acquired in a bundle. Can't beat that.

This is an ok hidden object game, the story is not that interesting. I spent 5.5 hours playing the main game plus bonus game. I skipped 1 puzzle I think because it was too annoying. The hidden object puzzles are medium with a few hard to find objects.
It was great that you can jump between locations on the map. Get it while on sale.

I found this to be an interesting and, at times, intriguing game. While it follows the structure of a HOPA (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) game, it's a bit obtuse at times in a good way. These games are not linear so sometimes they require a leap of faith in logic, as this one does, but it has an excellent map to help you figure out your options. The story is a familiar one but there are enough plot twists to make this interpretation unique and fun. The HOP scenes are excellent, a lot more than just a pile of junk. This is a fairly long game with smooth game play that is not always obvious but that's part of the fun of this game. It's one I will play again.

This is a wonderful game. If you are someone who prefers many puzzles to repetitive hidden object scenes, you will be thrilled with this game. Puzzles are everywhere and of great variety and difficulty. Like other Meridian 93 games, this one offers a lengthy story that is never boring and takes more that just a few hours to complete. Longer and with an upgrade of the quality of the game components makes this easily a favorite. This game accomplishes what I can only hope for in most other HOPA games. Bravo and can't wait for more!

Nice enough game, good graphics and and simple enough to follow storyline. Great if you just want something to work through without too much thinking.

I played this on advanced mode and it took me almost 7 hours including bonus play. Good value for money.
I found this a pretty average HO game. There is replay value if you want to be a nasty person and not help anyone. Graphics were good, but HO scenes were darker and objects hard to find. I got through most without a hint, but I had to be patient! Music and storyline were adequate. The inventory was very buggy and hard to keep open at times to grab an item. If you click at the wrong time you move back out of the scene. I found it very frustrating as it should have been picked up in beta. Puzzles were interesting and I only had to use the guide once, so they were doable.
This game lacked something, so I give it 7 out of 10.

Great hidden objects game, good storyline, fun to play, a lot of puzzle solving and figuring out how to use aquired objects in gameplay, Definitely recommend this game, also has rep[lay value if you want to get all of the in-game achievments

I just finished playing the game and can be enjoyable in some areas and uses alot of hidden object puzzles. I liked it had karma choice which means you help the ghosts out and they help you too. Somethings made no sense in the game but that is normal in Hidden object games. The game has a detective and voice acting and got it on special for $2.14 which was nice. I think negatives are that the inventory is buggy and also hint does not reload easily takes awhile and game can feel like too much hidden object sections one after another. The bonus section game may say you already dont this bit just ignore it and play it

I would have enjoyed this game much more if the Inventory Box worked correctly. It was most annoying to try to pick an item from the Inventory when it would not stay up long enough to pick the item. The rest of the game was good.

In my opinion one of the finest point and click games out there! Good graphics, decent riddles and a chilling atmosphere.

100% Meh. Totally agree with Bieeanda's review. Some things are nice some things, like the invatory/go back problem should have been fixed in beta and really threw the game for me. Not too terrible, but somehow didn't touch me enough for a Yes. Again - really wish there was a Neutral button.

So much fun a great game

fun game if you like point and click. A little frustrating every time you try to get into the 'toolbox' on the lower edge it toggles between going back a room and your items. Other than that irritation with the interface the game was quite fun to play. Only got truly stumped on the game where you order numbers.
