A game with potential, but that doesn't satisfy me. What I dislike:
* The map - it's completely useless.
* It's a Rouge like - a genre I strongly dislike. Whenever you die, you respawn at the beginning and have to go through all enemies and everything again. If you make it to where you died, you can loot your old body.
I died once because I opened a door and was attacked by a robot behind it, which felt unfair. Another time I walked through a bunch of empty rooms until I reached a dead end, when suddenly, out of nowhere, the room was stormed by a dozen enemies. Did I stand a chance? Absolutely not. Also unfair.
* The combat is pure garbage. You have no idea whether a weapon is powerful or not until you try it out. So far, all weapons have been pea shooters for me. I need to shoot ten "bullets" (or darts or whatever) before anything happens to the enemy at all.
Also, you don't really know what's hostile and what's not before you take the risk to get close.
What I like:
* It's far between enemies, and you encounter them one at a time, similar to System Shock 1. You can goof around and explore at your own pace, but always on your guard.
* The map is large and complex, almost open world.
I left the game pretty early and have already lost interest in it. A game shouldn't be that difficult to get into. I understand why hard code fans like it, but I have too many other options to choose from to be able to stick around. So no. I can't recommend it.
Abandoned.
great game needs a little work but still amazing only issue i have found is that there is no proper objective i seen plus some codes may not spawn for doors i spent a while trying to open the armory to find out it didnt spawn where is suppost to and i would have to restart the game to get it besides that issue its a great game
This is an under appreciated game. It deserves far more praise and player base than it got.
So much promise squandered. Devs abandoned the game. It's in a broken and unfinished state. Don't waste your money.
I love survival games, especially ones with lots of progression and looting. (base building, exploration, tasty) This game was great. I don't think it is all it promised to be and the ending falls flat with some unpolished parts (abandon-ware is an appropriate word), but my computer ran it well and it was gorgeous. I'd definitely buy this game again. Would recommend it to anyone who is addicted to survival games. (It is not worth $25. Don't pay full price)
The combat was good. There is a point where it is very overwhelming and difficult till you manage to get some decently upgraded weapons. (Small Spoiler) My biggest difficulty was the dark seekers who I couldn't beat until I had a better kit, and they spawn in after so many nights, which puts a cap on how long you can survive. Fortunately your dead body and progress sticks around and you can respawn as a new sleeper, so it isn't game ending, but definitely a challenge I felt accomplished overcoming. My favorite part was the multitude of ways you can upgrade yourself, which is a big plus for any game I play. The environment also feels cool, seekers fighting infected, etc. All the locations were immersive (until you go underneath the city or to the bot lab or nanite leaks (game definitely didn't seem finished in those areas).
P.a.m.e.l.a Its Good Game it got a lot of charm.
good Combat great immersion good story Its an underrated gem.
i just beat the game. So it is a Complete Game. A good one to.
As for bugs there are some but there a easy way to fix A LOT of them.
Here's how to fix like 95% of the game breaking bugs
(go to Options then General scroll down to Tutorial set it to Never )
that fixes 95% of the bugs i do not no way but it worked for me.
There is no hand holding in the story but the tutorial being off will not be missed i think it popping up makes the game bug out or mouse lockup. O and game length 21+ to 40+ hours i think. your time may vary i did it 21.9 hours.
I played it when it was in beta that helped my time i think and then forgot it for like 4 or 5 years..... it why my play times 102 hours. o and the loot is all random that help replayability.
anyway hope that helps someone.
I enjoyed this a lot, was quite fun and the ending was an interesting twist
