Miner Meltdown is a 2D team-based online competitive multiplayer game. Scour the map for minerals, upgrade your gear, and attempt to blow up the opposing team all the while avoiding monsters, traps, and environmental pitfalls along the way. Maps are randomly generated and 100% destructible, so every match is a fully unique, fast-paced, and chaotic affair.

Two teams of 4 spawn on opposite sides of the randomly generated mine. Players must explore the map in search for gold, which can be used to purchase better weapons and equipment. Teams that collect more gold will generally have an edge in battle.
Teams collect points by killing enemy players, or neutral monsters. The team with the most points at the end of the round is victorious.
Gameplay is fast-paced, so hold onto your butts.

I've heard about this game when I received a discount coupon for it.
Even with mixed reviews due to lack of people online to play it, I decided to give it a try and bought it.
I have played it for only a few minutes so far, but it has been quite interesting. In the beginning it is a bit complicated to get used to the commands, but as you do it is pretty fun.
You can play it as single player with bots (like I was doing) or without them, or multiplayer online.
And I think it is going to be pretty fun to play it with friends.
Update: I've bought it for my boyfriend as well and we played it together. We had a lot of fun and laughs!
Giving it a thumbs up because the game is good, and more people should play it! :)
Gameplay is okay but the problem is it is a multiplayer only game and the comunity i tryed to play but no one does so i think the devs should update the game so it has offline or singleplayer
Game looked pretty fun, sad I couldn't try it since NO ONE plays it and it's an online multiplayer game. All I could do is the tutorial :(
This game has great potential, but I never had the chance to play a single round. Mechanics may be a bit funky (like the ropes), but the overall gameplay is fairly decent. The thing is, there are no online lobbies that have people playing. The Miner Meltdown community is way too small, and each room requires 8 people to play. I bought this game for $1.75 with the steam discounts from a Don't Starve Together Bundle creation, but if you plan on purchasing this game for $7, you might want to reconsider. I will probably switch my recommendation when I find other people to play with, and I hope the devs implement some sort of lobby with bots to practice with. Maybe buy this game when there's a huge sale. Don't waste $7 on an undeveloped game with no opponents to face or practice with.

ya i see a lot of comments saying that there's little lobbies to join and no players in them. Well there's a reason why there's no players b/c this game is pretty boring. It's like terraria and worms armagedon mixed in one game but worse lol. Got this on sale for 2 bucks might just keep....maybe. The hud is horrible. Gamemodes are bland. You mine gold in a dark cave to get more money to buy more weapons; all while fighting bots/players at the same time. Not my cup of tea :/
This game can be played against AI since the release. Even with only AI it's a great game.

Looked like a super fun game, there is nothing wrong with it it is just that no one is in the lobbys so it is basically un playable but probably really fun in the past.
Another MMO, but you can play and obtain the achievements by going up against bots. thats pretty much all im going to do for this game, but quoted below is a fair assessment for the rest of the game.

The controls feel clunky and you have to play either online or in a tutorial. There wasn't anyone in the lobby.
To find the area of a rectangle multiply its height by its width. For a square you only need to find the length of one of the sides (as each side is the same length) and then multiply this by itself to find the area. This is the same as saying length2 or length squared.

The best part in my opinion that is inspired by Terraria CTG or other likewise minigames with some extra fixes like a "Stand To Regenerate" Mechanic which Don't appear in Terraria Minigames (Despite being possible with the Shiny Stone)
Also there's kinda some competitive material so you can Play To Win or For Fun (Ranked And Casual Modes Please)
I find this game more enjoyable playing online multiplayer, for now i am playing with bots. Anyone that loves mining and fast paced multiplayer co-op, get in here and join us, this game definitely have potential.
Could be fun but the community has completely flatlined two weeks after release and it's not really worth buying as a single player game. Try it if it ever does a free weekend I guess, but it's pretty much already on the giant pile of dead multiplayer games.
Ever since the alpha testing party back in June 2016 it's been thrilling seeing the progress in development on this game. Back then this game was very early into it's development and was a long way from what you see today in the game. One thing that hasn't changed is the competitive feel to the game. Something about swinging around from a rope with various weapons at your disposal brings thrill do a 2d platformer and Miner Meltdown is no exception. With the pricepoint of this game you simply can't go wrong.

-Both simple deathmatch and objective based gamemodes
-Satisfying projectile collision
-Interesting tools for both team based gameplay and trapping enemies
-Options to fight against or with AI
-Wide variety of weapons
-Good economy (for getting weapons)
-Has optional controller support
-Hilarious skins to choose from (most unlocked from leveling up)
-Easy for anyone to pickup and play
~Cons~
-Live playerbase is low so finding matches through official discord or events is ideal
-Despite it's good value for price it's not a diverse game (as expected from 2D PVP game)
-I'm running out of cons...

Miner Meltdown is like Spelunky meets an arena PVP. The mix of combat with mining creates some unique experiences, but I wouldn't necessarily classify them as "fun" experiences. The gathering mechanic of Miner Meltdown could use some streamlining, as well as the rope mechanic.
That being said, this is a party game. If you have a fun group of friends, you will have a good time. Do not try and play this game if you are not going to be bringing your own opponents with you, as there is literally no one online.
For just coming out of early access, it's okay. It needs a lot more content and needs work on core mechanics, but still gets a thumbs up.
I really like the games controls and the look and feel of the game.
The matchmaking works well. The game just needs to hit critical mass so public games are always going on.
At the moment, you can use the discord to find some people to play against.
I recommend this game, I've quite a few games on my steam account and really like 2D games and this games game play is up there.
This game is truly a hidden gem, super fun fast paced unique shooter, the only issue is playerbase which is really small but you can make new friends very fast in this community. Highly recommend, also you can get coupons for this game by crafting badges i got 90% off and bought it just for 70 cents but for this game i would be ready to spend much more than 7 euros that the game is priced, totally worth it
This game is so much fun and very addicting!!! I lost a little too much productivity playing this game.
Miner Meltdown is what would happen if Worms and Team Fortress had a baby (both some of my favorites games growing up). The pixel art and the sound is fantastic. But most importantly it is super fun!!!

A glitch where the mutants are invisible [but the game just came out and it should be fixed soon]
When the game just came out, a good amount of players were playing this and we were having fun, but the game has died since, and the developer has sold the rights of the game to Throwback Entertainment, which if you look at their games, they haven't done any games in years! So this game is just abandoned. Don't purchase this.
Lastly, Pebble, if you are reading this, how could you sell the rights to the game. This was supposed to be your baby, you don't sell your baby in real life, do you? Shameful.
Day one purchase after having a chance to play the beta. Very fluid, lots of fun. Worth the purchase as it currently sits and am really looking forward to any additions that are made while in early access.
Also the 'sexy' chat filter is hilarious!
