We also have plans to open 22RS up to game modding and community built assets. So if you have some ideas for future physics racing vehicles, you can make them, if you have some ideas for some fully 3d track designs that you'd like to try out, you can build them, or if you want to take our suite of physically based vehicles (did we mention we support bikes and maglev?) and unique strategy elements and make something unique of your own, then we want to help you make that happen.
Did you ever hear that an F1 car could theoretically drive upside down?
Well, we tested it, and proved it. But it wasn't fun to drive, so we took it a few steps further and developed a fully adaptable vehicle setup ecu that could adjust; Aerodynamics, camber, toe, spring compression, tyre pressure, etc based on the vehicles velocity and orientation.
Trust us, that little bit extra downforce when you're upside down comes in handy ;)
Welcome also to 'Future Physics Racing'!
We built our own proprietary engine ‘RevGen’ so that we could make this possible by giving you the high frame and physics rates needed for a silky smooth physics handling experience at these insanely high speeds.
'22 Racing Series' is currently available in early-access. If you like getting into new games early and like to give feedback on the direction of a game's development, then we'd love to see you in the game and in our community.
If you prefer to play games at final release only, then we welcome you to add ‘22 Racing Series’ to your Wishlist to get notified when we launch v1.0.
* Try in VR with our six axis motion simulation support if you dare

This game is pretty much dead.
Been playing this before the steam launch, feel like the concept is fresh since it isnt just racing in a tube, you have to learn when to use resources, even in lap trial mode you need to know when to use and save resources to conserve your speed to get a fast lap. Looking forward to the build your own car with steam market parts system + online. Feel like the game is headed in the right direction since the devs really listen to feedback
EDIT 2: nice > niche typo change edition
Game on steam seems to have crypto functionality removed from what the dev replies say, I'll be watching this game for a while, and will change this review to a recommended once the game is in a more enjoyable state for people who don't like time trials (IE: the only races rn are against easy bots or time trials, so you dont really get to experience the game much.)
We'll see where the game is in half a year or so. I hope it can be somewhere where I want to buy it again.
EDIT:
To devs:
Please more clearly explain that this game is based on blockchain tech on your store page.
To potential buyers:
Fuck this game, NFT bullshit. Car customization parts are NFTs with actual gameplay effects outside of the "community racing class" whatever the fuck that means. AKA pay to win unless you play with only the other poor racers like yourself who don't buy nfts.
Check out the "TLDR" and "Blockchain" tabs on their website to read what they say and make up your own mind, I just know I absolutely do not want this kind of technology anywhere near gaming.
I worked in the crypto industry for 6 months and if I learned anything from it, it was that I don't want the blockchain anywhere near any game I play. Everything the blockchain can accomplish can be done better with centralized services. For example: I could sell my cosmetic car parts on the steam marketplace instead of with stupid nft bullshit (who's paying the gas fees to transfer stuff between our wallets? Hopefully not the players who already paid for the fucking game.) not to mention, the blockchain is incredibly insecure. Ever wonder why major wallet apps let you hide any nfts or tokens you didn't explicitly accept? Because even so much as CLICKING ON THEM can activate a smart contract that just sends all your money to the person who sent you it. Imagine if someone could give me a buisness card that stole my bank account if I called the phone number on it. THAT is what the blockchain is.
Would you want your entire bank transaction history publicly viewable? Again, with the blockchain, that's what it is. Everyone can see everything you buy or sell anywhere always, and "but it's anonymous" isn't a good counter argument as it's only anonymous until you associate with the wallet. Obviously anyone who has played 22 with me will know the car nft in that wallet makes that wallet obviously mine.
All in all, do not buy this game. It's deeply rooted in NFT and Blockchain tech, and it doesn't say that clear enough here in steam, only on their website. I wouldn't have bought this game if I knew this.
Original review:
Cool and all, but no online versus until q1 2023 so kinda hard to enjoy solo in a game clearly based around non-solo play.
I am concerned that the game is too niche and the community won't be able to sustain itself into the future, but the game is pretty neat to play.
I am very bad at it.
My name is Sonic the Hedgehog
There's a bit of a learning curve to getting buttons set and figuring out how to go fast and maintain control. Once you put in a touch of time though, it's a blast. Running this in VR with a wheel (has force feedback too) is a wild ride. Look forward to getting better and seeing more tracks released. Really enjoying this, keep up the great work devs!
Really good with a wheel and in VR.
If you like sim racing, you'll like this.
Never mind this shit is nft based I'll hold a L on this one, f**k my life cant have s**t no more
Original review(liked it):
Its Wipeout 2097
has some bugs but devs seem kinda speedy with it
Spent 20 minutes trying to map all of the controls only for the game to reset my work. Not worth it.
Go play Redout 1/2 instead.
Better yet, go play Tube Slider, a functioning game from 2003.
i really like the game 9/10 very nice
cool graphics 8/10
racing? yes 10/10
shooter? no 8/10
Cool game.
Challenging, trippy, but super fun!
Edit: Due to the amount of various issues with the game that I had, as well as a lack of meaningful single-player content and progression, I decided to refund the game.
Not that it was at a bad price, mechanically it felt amazing, but after trying some of the more advanced tracks, I found the game to be more frustrating than anything else. In VS AI matches on said maps, AI cars will bash you mercilessly and yeet your vehicle way into the surrounding areas way off the track.
Meanwhile, playing against ghosts will have you playing against a few players with many hours previously on other platforms min-maxing the track times where, for a beginner, you may struggle to land a jump without resetting 3 out of 5 times. I still think the game is worth recommending. If I was more hardcore at racing games, I would have kept it, and will happily recommend it to people looking for a challenge.
Original review below:
Cool and interesting idea for a game. The RTS upgrading system works super well, and the racing is incredibly fast and fluid. Physics seems cool as well.
For the people experiencing sliding (I've seen this a lot on YouTube coverage), that's part of the game and as the tutorial explains, you build up grip as you build up speed, these cars are not designed to drive slowly, and you need to drive fast to build up enough down force to drive on certain parts of the track. DRS also increases speed but decreases grip as it reduces the down force, which is important to note as you are not always driving on the floor and gravity is a thing (and you are not magnetically stuck to the track either).
As a PSA, it currently doesn't seem to want to run on Steam Deck, but devs have stated they are working on it in my chat with them in the forums.
