Sorcery! Parts 1 and 2 are the first half of an epic quadrilogy. Sorcery! 3 takes the adventure to the wilds of the Baklands and creates a fully open-world experience, and will be out shortly on Steam. Sorcery! 4 is due later this year, to finish the adventure. Each part can be played on its own, or you can load your character from one part to the next, carrying over equipment, stats, and narrative choices.

The dice game with the one armed man just inside the Khare gates is the dumbest fucking mini game ever invented. I made a bet that had less than a 1 percent chance of failing (I did the math) and it failed. What is the purpose of the dice game? Is it supposed to be an exercise in futility? Everything else in the game has a flow and is fair and can be figured out but not the crooked dice game. Whoever coded this mini game into Sorcery deserves to drop their slushie and stub their toe, and a bird poops on their car all at the same time.
But yeah, a fun pick your own adventure. Fuck swindlestones.
Sorcery 1 is without a doubt my favourite videogame EVER.
Visually, narratively and audibly it's a great game with an encapsulating story.
But there is something extra, that just makes this game so special and precious to me, a feeling of pure nostalgia and emotion. I don't know what it is that makes me feel that way, but something about it takes me back to my childhood and revitalises my imagination and fantasy. It's classic, it's obscure and it's charming!
10/10 The perfect game for me.
I love my current playthrough but for the LOVE OF GOD why the FUCK do I suck so bad at swindlestones??

It's a game that really makes me feel like I'm reading an adventure book and making choices within a narrative. The prose is well written and as a game it functions fairly well too, the interactivity alleviates some of the problems and annoyances of reading adventure books, it features some microgames, surprises and a-ha moments that make me feel stupid for not catching onto what's happening.
It has some replay value too, especially Part 2, which has me stuck trying to solve the main quest instead of just abandoning Kharé.

Super fun games with almost limitless fun things to do!
A very fun, unique, and original game.
Very fun and surprisingly unknown game. It's a lot like playing through a solo D&D campaign. 1 and 2 are my favorite but 3 and 4 aren't bad either. They change some of the mechanics around but they're interesting to play through.
I actually think it's kind of scummy spreading the different story parts across multiple games so if a person only bothers to negatively review one, the others' reviews still remain positive.
