being the direct sequel expansion to the first encounter, this game changes things up mainly for the better. there's some weapons that deal with some problems you could have trouble with in the first campaign, there's some new enemies that were pretty cool, and the three new level themes are unique. the main gripe i have with this game through is how long the levels are, since they usually take about 30-45 minutes to beat. if you don't mind that though, i'd say this is another good game to kill some time playing
This game was a huge part of my childhood—pure nostalgia! The levels are top-tier, and the graphics still hold up surprisingly well. I’d seriously recommend it to everyone. The music from the last level is so good that I still listen to it to this day. The charging lumberjack and the change-up from the first encounter really add excitement to the second encounter. Worth every penny!

An seriously good Continuation to a serious Game. I am being serious.
Essence of my youth, Signet of the best days ever. Second Encounter.
A fun game with mediocre violence , can be suggested to younger audience. Not suitable for Woke gamers
awesome game serious sam is incredibly underrated as a franchise
My favourite serious sam game, and the game that is also the most balanced, well except serious difficulty (Which i did for this review). This game brings 3 new weapons, all are OP and one was so good that it never saw the day of light again in the games. Sad. Well you have a literal flamethrower, the Anti-Kleer weapon which clears Kleers and at a pace which is like lawnmowers cutting grass. And then a sniper which I HAVE NO CLUE HOW but can just ONE TAP a damn BULL. And then you have BOMB which is a literal nuke. Like just wipeout zone weapon. You need to try this game.
zjbs grajus
I just finished this game on a day I am sick and bed-ridden, and my god this game was such a wonderful choice to keep me company. Like I already liked the first encounter, but the second encounter not only takes the solid core premise of gameplay of the first encounter, it makes it even more fun. Like the introduction of sniper rifle, chainsaw, and serious bomb just adds to the flavor of chaos, and this time, it also elevates its level design by constantly experimenting with environment design, obstacles, level structure, and best of all, the level art.
Don't get me wrong, the first game is amazing looking with its egyptian aesthetics, but after a while, every structure got way too familiar. This game, however, kept thing fresh. Moving from jungles, to mayan temples, to lava to cathedrals, and much much more. Like the last three levels in particular are a visual feast despite the dated graphics. Like the artistry here is amazing, and the gunplay being more chaotic and fun with the extra weapons just make this game a blast.
While this game may never cross my personal top 10 games of all time or even top 50, I would still say it was a dang fantastic time that not only improved on its predecessor but fully embraced its chaotic nature but also gave us visual treats as a bonus. Truly, Serious Sam: The Second encounter is a treat that you should not miss at all!
A great sequel to Serious Sam: The First Encounter.
Nice
Best game ever
One of the best fps games
This is the second half of Serious Sam 1. Compared to the First Encounter, this has more environments, more enemy types, more weapons, more gimmicks and new powerups. Once you know how to use the new weapons, this game becomes much easier than the first one. You could say it is more fair/balanced.
There is an HD version of this game which looks better but lacks a few gravity gimmick rooms, and the sounds are changed.
One of the best game of my childhood. I'm Serious.
It's a good game, but a lot of people smack the First Encounter down because it doesn't have as many mods and it doesn't have weapons and enemies. I would rather play TFE than TSE, but that's my opinion.
this is my friend oli's favorite game
author hetero.
Very reminiscent of the first encounter, but i like this one better. One thing i liked was how each new civilization looked different from one another. My favourite must be poland/east europe! The snow biome was such a fresh breathe of air. The cathedral and the corridor was so epic. I like the secrets hidden in the game and the comedy. I also love that i learn some information about these old civilizations that existed in real life. For instance, reading about Gilgamesh in-game was so interesting. The ending was also great. Overall it was an improvement from the first encounter, so i will give this an 8/10.
My favourite game of the series
peak gaming

-Sam "Serious" Stone, this fucking game
Hello everybody, PurplePike here. This is the second part of me reviewing the classic Serious Sam games and seeing if the series was ever "good" after being driven to the brink of madness following a Serious Sam 3 playthrough - more information on my The First Encounter review.
Earnest Emmanuel: The Sequel Expedition is an insane game. Just from the opening cutscene you can tell that between The First Encounter and the making of this game, Croteam took a copious amount of drugs before saying "fuck it" and going bananas. In the first game, you had this AI companion named NETRICSA who acted as a sort of helping guide on your journey via text-based analyses of your current situation and objectives. In this game, this neurally-implanted personal computer is now hitting on you (?) and referencing the offical Pensive Paul: The Following Meeting guide in order to "aid" you on your quest. There's this one part where you kill motherfucking Santa Claus for a power-up. Even the secrets are more unhinged - I picked up a health potion once and then the tree behind me "mutated" into a rocket-launching tree. Like... the fuck were they on?
As for the game itself? Well, it feels like The First Ecounter, but polished around the edges and made even better. Only thing that might be worse than TFE is the setting, but that's pretty subjective I'd imagine. Better guns, better enemies, etc., etc.
TL;DR: This shit is mental, but also some serious fun. Oh yeah, and fuck Serious Sam 3.
Great game
...
I'm so seriously done with this game...
absolute cinema
Old game takes me back in time, love just shooting anything that moves.
Probably the best game in the entire Serious Sam franchise. First Encounter was good, of course, but Second Encounter actually surpassed it, and it's still enjoyable to this day<3 It's fun and includes new cool weapons that fix previously annoying fights (such as chainsaw making Marsh Hopper and Reptiloid fights much more manageable when a lot of things happen on-screen), new silly little secrets, and new awesome and unique enemies. The variety of locations is a really nice touch; all of them look beautiful despite the game being from 2002. Highly recommend it!
серьезно?
