Hotline Miami ripoff.
This game was really fun, would recommend.

It's like a Western, pencil-drawn art style, methodical version of Hotline Miami. Loving every minute of it!

pretty fun, worth the ten bucks
Fun 2D western game with a great artstyle, I absolutely love the black&white coloring with the only colored thing being blood. [spoiler] Some levels are a bit hard because they are so fast paced but that really adds something. [spoiler]
I used to play this with my dad before he left us. Now I play it with my mom and we can call it full family project now. Since me and mom now the real family!
Game is a realisation of a pretty interesting concept:
bird view shooting game - third person shooter, with one hit one kill mechanic (in most cases).
The game offers several weapons - knife, revolver, rifle, shotgun, bow and dynamite (also gatling but it is only usable in select scenarios). Each weapon has different control and has a different feel - this is a big pro, you have to cock the revolver with each shot, eject rifle shells, and you get two pumps in a shotgun before you have to reload, it really makes each weapon unique.
Elements of stealth are pretty fun, with shots only affecting a part of the map. The game is quite fun, however there are several issues - weapon pickup is a bit odd and counterintuitive, hard to understand at beggining. The story is pretty bland, but I guess that was not the most important element of the game.
I quite enjoyed the format of the game, even if it is quite short.
12 is better than 6 is an alright game.
It's very hard to look past the Hotline Miami similarities, the art style is good and game plays smoothly but all the actual meat of the game is 'Hotline Miami but worse'.
I bought it for 69p (nice) and got a few hours mostly enjoyable hours out of it, so I will recommend but the game never rises above "OK".

I got this game purely because it was 0.99$ at the time. I tried it and was hooked, from the moment I started playing I was hooked. This was the first game that I enjoyed enough to 100%. I think that says something. The gun fights are hard, but stealth is always an option.
What would be the best way to describe 12 is better than 6 ? Is it "Hotline Miami in a Wild West setting", or is it "Honey, we have Hotline Miami at home" ? Well...
Simply by looking at the screenshots, you can tell the game has style. Black and white, with pints of red for all the blood you'll be spilling, all in a hand-drawn world that looks and feels dusty. Clearly the strongest point of the game.
A heavy focus was also put on the story, and unfortunately that's where things start to go south. A detail at first, but there are so many sentences that don't really sound natural, and so many grammar mistakes that they ended up taking me out of the story completely. Which is when you realize that it's pretty bland and hard to follow, with a lot of boring chit-chat.
Shooting feels pretty good. There's only a handful of weapons, but they're cool and different from each other, and landing shots is satisfying. It's a shame they chose to overcomplicate the controls : Right click to aim, wait a while, left click to shoot... Let go of everything and repeat. For every shot... This makes sense for the bow, but for every gun it just feels obnoxious and takes a big part of the fun away. It also means certain death when multiple enemies are after you.
It may not have a gun or bad intentions, but the camera is one of these enemies. It's floaty and too close to your character, so by trying to see as far ahead as you can, you won't see behind you and this will be the cause of many more deaths.
Add to that the inconsistent stealth mechanics and unreliable bullet counts when switching guns in a fight... Maybe this isn't exactly Hotline Miami that we had at home after all.
Playable, but frustrating in several ways and with a very unfulfilling 3-hour story, the game is hard to recommend.
12 is better than 6, and it's certainly better than the 4 I'll give it today. Cool idea, poor execution.
really bad
A pretty fun game in the spirit of Hotline Miami. This one gets the action, control and balancing pretty much on point. The western theme is very amusing but one gripe I had with the black and white stylized graphics was that occasionally it got pretty hard to spot an enemy as they blend in with the environment very well sometimes.
The story is mostly nonsensical and not that interesting to begin with. Think the movie Machete and you'll get the general idea: Mexican dude wakes up with amnesia, has to regain his lost memory, Rambos a heck lot of baddies to hell on the way. It's serviceable but sometimes it seems they try a little too hard to convey that the protagonist of the game is the biggest badass in the west.
The meat of the game is the fast paced shooting where you will dispose of your enemies with knives, shotguns, rifles, pistols, shovels, bows and arrows and other weapons typical of the western setting. You also have access to dynamite and with a certain perk can tie one to the back of a rat and have it run conveniently towards the closest enemy. The enemies are pretty good shots. You'll die a lot and learn a bit more about how to approach the level and try again and again. As is normal with this genre. There is a perk system as well where you can earn money in repetitive "kill everybody on the level" missions and acquire a few throughout the journey. Nothing special but I think the game would have benefited from a more varied and pronounced perk system instead of the limited set of perks we have available.
All in all, a pretty fun game. If you've played games in this genre before, you'll know exactly what you're in for and on a sale, this could be that perfect purchase to sink a few evenings into.
simple but I like it
Usually, I don't like games like this, but I liked the artwork, so I gave it a chance. It's a nice game, but I would only buy it when it's on sale and not at its original price.
short but amazing for the price
This game offers a unique blend of top-down shooting and storytelling that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The art style is striking, and the gameplay is satisfying, with plenty of challenges to keep you engaged. The mechanics are smooth, and I love the setting and characters. Overall, it’s a fun and memorable experience that I highly recommend!

Just play hotline miami again
This game is fun to play, even if the story and characters are a mess. The mechanics are well done and the level/character design is great. I would love to see a little more variety to the environment, but it's a short, small game so that's to be expected.
The writing is truly awful. Obviously written by a non-native English speaker, which is itself fine, but at least find someone to check it all to make sure it makes sense. There's awkward phrasing, misspellings, and all kinds of anachronistic problems. The story could also use a good developmental edit, as it makes very little sense and seems to require a good deal of suspension of disbelief. I want to like it better than I do, but it falls a little short for me.
All together, the game is still fun and was worth the money and time spent on it. If you're looking for a good soundtrack and fun gameplay to enjoy a mindless day, this is a great option.
