Вашей храбрости брошен вызов, пройдите испытание огнём в 21 миссии против четырёх Лордов-ренегатов. HD-издание

A legend of castel building games! Great story line. Took me about 15-20h to complete the military campaign this time. I have played it back in the early 2000's and it has not aged at all. Still has the same vibe

I played this game when i was younger, and never got the chance to bear it. But i love this game. The free build mode all the way to the different campaign types. If you are looking for a game to test your strategy skills. This is the game for you.

One of the most memorable, legendary and best medieval builder so far. Firefly Studios made childhood of most of us really sweet and awesome. I still remember that back in those times I didn't have computer myself, so in order to play this, and couple of other games I had to visit my cousin. Those golden times of CDs and paper gaming magazines. That nostalgia.
One of the best games of all time. It doesn't matter if you don't like strategy games. Try this game out and you'll like it. Especially Stronghold Crusader and Crusader Exterme.

Stronghold has an excellent command of atmosphere, and the inclusion of satisfying city building mechanics make it stand out among other medieval strategy games, i.e. Age of Empires. On the other hand, the difficulty of the campaign was a bit oppressive and the vast length of time required to complete some of the missions did not help either. Combined with the frustrating pathfinding and disorienting camera controls, Stronghold HD is an experience best worth avoiding.

An old game but solid. Some of the missions can be a bit tricky if you've never played before, causing you to restart a level after you'd already played for 60+ minutes just to lose.

If it's a matter of pence, sure take a punt. But otherwise, buy one of the newer ones or just play something like Age of Empires.
I never played this back in the day, but always wanted to. Now I've given it a good go, and it has charm to it, but for me there's a point where it just becomes impossibly difficult. Perhaps it's my inexperience and naivete with games such as this, but really I think there's better out there.

Old school fun
Some similarities to another great old game, Lords of the Realm. I enjoy this game.

This game aged incredibly well! Played it for the first time now eventhough I was interested in gaming way back when it came out.
I just love it. It is a mixture of tower defense, strategic gameplay and economy balancing.
You play through a lot of different scenarios which fit the gameplay very well.
The presentation is timeless too with it's display of medieval europe and the beautiful soundtrack..
There are two negatives though:
1. The difficulty is not very consistent... All of a sudden you are confronted by an incredibly hard mission just to be followed by "a walk in the park". I would recommend players to not shy away from lowering difficulty or even view some guides.
2. The Economy Campaign is not so great I think (just a small side campaign). My issue with it is that it still features combat frequently and therefore is a bit contradicting to it's purpose... and it features a unique mechanic which is just borderline broken. All Stronghold players know what I mean haha.
Several levels of challenge for each scenario...from easy to difficult.
Got it for the nostalgia, stayed for the nostalgia. Nothing more, nothing less.
