Overview
Slime Jumper is a Jump 'n Run somewhere between Super Mario and Super Meat Boy. It is a cool platformer, where you have to dodge a lot of things, or you must not run into them. On the one hand there are for example spikes, which you have to avoid, on the other hand there are bullets, wrecking balls, etc you have to dodge or use cleverly to pass the level. -
Gameplay
In these level there are 3 stars you can collect. When you pass the level you always get one star plus all collected stars. With these stars you can buy new slimes, which have different abilities, for example jumping higher. You also can place up to 3 (5 in boss level) checkpoints, so when you die, you don't have to start from the beginning. However you will loose all stars, when you die, even if you already collected them and placed a checkpoint, so there is still the attraction to complete (nearly) the whole level at once.
There are 15 level per world. The last level in each world is a boss level!
Totally there are 6 worlds at the moment, so you can play 90 level in the story mode. -
Controls
In contrast to many other platformers the controls are not floaty. Instead they are direct and nice. With your slime you can jump off either from the ground or from walls, which are not slidy. -
Leveleditor
A leveleditor is also included with a Workshop-Integration, so you can create levels upload them and other users can play, rate, etc them. -
Local Multiplayer
Another mode is the local multiplayer, which is a bit like Mario Party. You play against other player in up to (at the moment) 6 different minigames, like "Capture the flag" or "Collect as many stars as you can". The clue here is, that every player can shoot bullets or balls (depending on the minigame), so that you also can play pretty destructive.
Up to 4 players (max 2 on keyboard, max 4 on controllers)! -

Slime Jumper is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. But there's more, and it's worse.
Slime Jumper is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Super Meat Boy (Copyright Team Meat, 2010). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. At this stage no legal action has been taken by Team Meat against the "developer" here, but it's never off the table, as previous copyright law cases have shown. Putting aside the unethical intellectual bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept for profit, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. Slime Jumper is considerably worse than Super Meat Boy.
The game rips off Super Meat Boy in almost every respect, from the trail that gets left over, the gameplay, the characterisation, everything. The only difference is there's a pallete swap for the character and they call it "slime" instead of "meat". Just ouch.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals.
Controls themselves are relatively floaty and unpleasant, comparing badly to the Super Meat Boy game the "developers" are unethically ripping off.
Comically, the game was written in Java (I'm not making this up). Talk about not using the right tools for the job. Might as well try to bake a cake with a screwdriver. The extremely poor choice of game engine here is a major contributing factor to the defects with the game.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Slime Jumper has the insane price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

Terrible Game
An unfair 2D platformer with so many traps and physics against the player. Controls and jumping are awful, collisions are terrible and mines can explode into a domino effect and kill the player slime.
A.k.a. I Can't See Anything: the game. They really overdid the shadows and the obstacles can be really tiny and blend in really easily. The controls also feel slippery. Skip this one.
I tried but could not make this game work with my XBOX controller. And I don't like playing platformers with a keyboard.
Slime Jumper is a great challenging Jumper like Super Meat Boy.
it is very difficulty and the controller support is great!
-9/10
