had to get my friend to come backseat for me while i played so i could have a couple extra braincells.
this game was so fun though and loved the art and i felt smarter by the end (i was probably dumber tho)

A good step up from the first game. You should give this one a try if you liked the first game. It's takes about 1 hour to finish this one. Liked it, 8/10
yayy another super charming samorost game! this one was longer than the first which i love but it was also a bit harder.. i had trouble getting the timing right in some puzzles and knowing when the ship was fuelled in the end lolz but it was still such a great fun little game. they added a dog in this one and it was so cute!!! i love spending time in this world a lot, it's so wonderful and the creators should be very proud. not sure if i prefer the first game or this one so far. while obviously very short the original is definitely more calming for me because it's more about simply exploring. so it's got a stronger feel good vibe to it compared to this one which has dog nappers 😧 but all in all a seriously good game !

amazing art and funky sound design, you get much more of this with Botanicula and Samorost 3
highly reccomend the full Samorost series along with Botanicula and Mechanarium for anyone who likes puzzle games and this art style, I got these in the steam winter sale but it still would have been worth the full price
This game is what got me into point and click games as a genre. While I'm sad to see that it's marred by some weird technical issues that really ought to be fixed, Samorost 2 always has had a special place in my heart, and it is an excellent puzzle game for kids, provided you know to restart the game when it breaks
Just finished Samrost 1, so figured I'd play the sequel since it's also not that long. However, since this game is about 4 times the length of the previous one, there are more levels included. The puzzles themselves were also a bit more challenging, as I admit I had to look up a walkthrough closer to the end.
Overall, I like the art style of this game, just like the previous. Looking forward to the third one eventually!
A sweet point and click game about a gnome and hist dog; not sure if I played it to completion back in the day although I remembered parts of it. Style is beautiful. Fun to revisit it with achievements.
What started to be a lovely game, turned into a bug nightmare by midgame with buttons only working when restarting the level. And then they dont not work at all. Doublechecked a playthrough video to see that it's not my fault, it's the programming. Even if the game would receive a generally positive review, can't finish the story, therefore it's a negative experience.

Great game , very interesting tasks and puzzles. Sad about that it takes 20 min. to complete but at least samorost 3 is fully packed up with content.

A charming little puzzle game, and a great successor to the original Samorost.
Fun and interesting puzzles and a weird and wondrous visual style, what more could you ask for?
If you tried out and liked the first game, I'd recommend getting this one as well. There are a lot more puzzles, new characters, and two new planets. Even though this game costs money (unlike the free first installment), I feel like it's worth it, especially since it's only $5 (USD). The music is great, the backgrounds are even more beautifully designed than the last game, and the puzzles are much more expanded upon. (Also works fine on Steam Deck, using the trackpad).

unique style,short nice game
They took a little gnome's dog. The little gnome's gotta get his dog back. Charming art, funny puzzle solutions. Only a few left me scratching my head. A fine point and click adventure
A great continuation of the first Samorost (which is FREE if you need a vibe check). Some little space creature bagged up and flew off with your dog, so you're off to get him back..not without a few hiccups along the way.
Same absurd surrealism, spacey BGM, and completely nonsensical humor that all work very well together in the same way that Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss books unfold.
I am either getting better at these kinds of games or Samorost 2 is just very kind because I got through the whole thing relatively quickly without looking anything up- the logic is pretty easy to follow once you let your brain sync up with this strange place. That said, this should be a pretty easy one for folks who play point-n-clicks a lot.
So, I would recommend it for beginners and anyone else just wanting to have a weird but cute and wholesome 30-60 minutes. It's probably worth full price and these go on deep sale pretty frequently so whatever melts your butter.

Samorost 2 is a point-and-click adventure game in which you play as a gnome trying to save his dog, who was kidnapped by aliens. As a sequel to the first Samorost game, Samorost 2 does a good job of "scaling up" the first game. It's quite a bit longer than the first (my first playthrough took just over an hour, compared to the 15 minutes it took for me to beat the original Samorost), and the puzzles are slightly more complex, with some requiring timed or repeated clicks to solve. Still, the game remains simple enough to be accessible to casual players. There was only one puzzle I found myself getting stuck on, and I believe it was due to a bug: In the room with the big alien, you need to push his chair forward so he traps himself with the sticky tendril that he initially trapped the gnome with. For some reason, I wasn't able to click on his chair, and had to restart the game to fix the issue. Judging by some of the comments I've seen elsewhere, this appears to be a known issue with the Steam version of the game. Single bugged puzzle aside, I feel like Samorost 2 is a solid sequel to the original game, and definitely a worth a play.
Very nice game, used to play this when I was little. Feels good to come back to it.

Wonderfully weird! It improves on the first game but keeps the amazing style and music. The story telling is lovely and I adore the dog!

Short and nice point-&-click. Some puzzles require the player to repeat his/her actions several times which is sometimes not abvious.
Still a beautiful game after two decades after it's first release :) ♥

Not a bad point and click. You're playing it for the art and music and barley for the game play. I read the negative reviews and people were complaining about a timed section of the last level. Do not listen to these people, the timed section is super easy and it's not really timed.
Game freezes when interacting with objects. Have to alt+enter to fix every time it happens.
Fun filler game to help you relax , puzzles are not hard , took me less then an hour to get all achievements.

I took around 1 hour to beat this game and get all achievements. Its a pretty fun and easy game, but some of the puzzles got me confused for more then 10 minutes. Other then that its a pretty good game and i would recommend it to other people

Adorable game that won't take up much of your time, but should make you at least a little bit happier.
same delightful style and charm as its predecessor but with a bit more polish.
Might be good to have a guide handy cause some of the items are a bit tough to find, but it didn't bother me much lol
The music is absolutely delightful. highly recommend wearing headphones so you can truly lose yourself in Samorost's tiny rotting, growing, thriving little world, even if it is for only forty minutes or so <3
What a nostalgia. I was a bit sad that it was updated and it didn't hit quite as much as the older version so I hope that I find it someday.

Worth it just for the weird little world you get to look at. My favourite kind of worldbuilding if you can call it that. Like shit just exists, you don't know why or how. Very common in this line of games.
