The best indie game ive ever played. In my life I grew up playing this game ever since I was a child and I am so glad I still have the chance to still play it even if no one plays it anymore, it has the best sound track you will ever hear seriously you'll just be chilling checking your inventory and the beat drops and your just so hyped up even just in the shops I love the little news station and it also has cool character design and I love how you can get more perks, upgrades, attacks and trinkets including the fact that magic is tattos is such a cool idea! If you like castle crashers or any side scrolling shootem up type games charlie murder is your game!

One of the best games I've ever played. When i was little and this first came out on the Xbox and i fully played it through without stopping. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that loves a story rich game.

TLDR: If you liked Castle Crashers, you'll most likely like this. A 2d beat 'em up with lots of random loot, many collectibles and enough variety to keep the gameplay interesting, especially compared to a lot of other beat 'em ups; guns, spells, classes, character specific passives and moves makes this game stand out.
Story: Charlie Murder is a band that consists of 5 members, all playable characters. Charlie, the singer, had a friend named Paul. Somehow, he got left out of the band and isn't happy about it. Like, really unhappy. But uh, you ain't playing this for the story.
Gameplay: A beat 'em up like few others that includes random loot, 5 characters to choose from, enough choice of spells for each characters, lots of weapons laying around to use non stop, a leveling system and all this is so quick to manage, it's actually pretty crazy how well this game is made, when one thinks about it.
The downside of it is the aesthethics of the game doesn't please everyone and some might be put off right at the start. But should you choose to stick with it, you'll be pleased how well it all works together in the end.
Each character has up to 6 or 7 spells, however you can only have 4 at a time in your shortcuts.
The random loot drops vary from hats, chests and gloves and relics, each with individual stats, effects and elemental dmg.
I also found pretty cool the idea that many relics are hidden behind optional bosses, hidden QR codes and objects that are slightly out of place. To get them simply take out your cell (inside the game dummy), and snap a pic.
While the brew system feels a bit dumb initially, it's insane that the stats it provides are permanent, so don't overlook it.
It's a great game for up to 4 players, invite your friends on remote play together if they don't have it!
And whenever you think you're getting a bit bored of the insane fights, they throw little silly mini games in there.
Graphics: One of the most horrible looking hand drawn game out there. It manages to look both hilarious and gross. So of course I love it.
Audio: A bit too heavy for some, but the tracks are pretty good for me. The sound effects are subtle and funny. Everything works well together.
A hidden gem. Can't believe this game is less popular than Castle Crashers!
Please at least give this game a try, it was the best part of my childhood and I think it will improve your day marginally.
Kill witches with pistols, zombies with rocket launchers and a giant robot bigfoot all in the same level. This is peak gaming.

Great classic beat em up game. If you just want some simple fun with friends and love music, definitely get this game.

This Beat Em’ Up is very unique with multiple endings, various collectibles and very enjoyable co-op gameplay, if you don’t take into consideration the piss poor servers being virtually unplayable. I loved this game on Xbox 360 sad to see I have to play alone because of the Lag and delay in online matches.

Game erases your progress half way through. Also seems to be rendered unbeatable by no way forward after progressing about 3 quarters of the way through. Going backwards doesn't help either.

This game is just as enjoyable now as when I first played it on the Xbox 360. It has great replay ability and is genuinely a great side-scrolling beat 'em up. I highly recommend it!
