Nostalgic game, was as good as I remember (for what it is)
A fun game to play for a while but it has not much in terms of content and is finished in a few hours worth of play.
One of the first games I ever played, (still have it on disc from the 2010's). Fantastic city builder for a kid or a newbie new to city builders to get to grips with planning ahead, supply & demand, map limitations and general design.
i love this game so much :)) was so fun when i was a kid and just as fun now!
i love assigning a personality to the son of saturn, who logically has none, yet here i am. i've actually completed the game at the time i'm writing this, and i'm going to play it again :D it's that fun
Short but fun. One of the best casual strategy games I've ever played.
For some reason scrolling with the arrow keys seems to be buggy on Windows 10. Fortunately, scrolling using the mouse (left click and hold) works fine.
Pretty fun. Full game took me about four hours when I wasn't making much effort to be efficient. I would have been able to easily hit all achievements in that time if I'd looked at them to start with (several are time-related, so I missed two). I picked it up on sale for 50 cents, definitely worth it at that price but I don't know if I'd pay much more that a dollar or two, since I don't know if I'll replay it.
I played this for four and a half hours straight and then it crashed right when I achieved one of the final goals so I'm not sure how it ends. Tried to reload and it crashed in the same spot. I can't be bothered to try again so I guess that's that.
It was cheap and a decent way to spend a mindless afternoon of recovering from my Covid booster shot, but the end was pretty boring because you're basically just waiting for resources to accumulate. So really it's like three hours of actual gameplay and then an hour of watching a stream VOD on YouTube and idly clicking every so often.
Good for what it is (and what it cost on sale), but I wouldn't play it again.
I bought this 5 days ago (01/21/2022) And am already finished playing a total of 20 hours. It's pretty fun, although the frequent interruptions of messages or events while trying to build or clean up are a bit annoying. Also the lack of space for putting buildings is inconvenient considering you can't clear certain spaces. I'm assuming the spaces are for future development or we will be able to somehow clear them in future updates. I would also like to see more quests and more gods and goddesses like Hades or Poseidon make an appearance later! All around, it's a fun game and can't wait to see what else will be added.
This is a game,I guess. The characters and story are a bit funky, but other then that, the game is just a civ builder. Their really is no unique traits that set this game apart from other similar games. I completed this game in about 4 1/2 hours and it was super easy, no challenge what so ever, more or less a bit of a grind. So for 5 bucks should you get it? probably not, but if you have nothing else to occupy yourself with for a couple hours, then sure give this a shot.
If you're looking for a fast, casual city builder on the cheap, I can't recommend this highly enough. Just don't be like me and get *too* into it. When the game's over, it's over. It took quite a while for the harsh reality of this game's five-hour run time to hit me. I supposed that's a good sign, when a game leaves you wanting more after it ends, but at the same time it feels incredibly disappointing.
8/10
Far too short for how much fun I was having.
good game..... it might not look it from like the screenshots and the cover of the characters from the game but its a fun game, it takes a while to complete but its worth it
God-like experience imo. I'm pretty nostalgia-blind, but this game has something that no other city builder has. Can't put it into words.
It is worth buying when on sale. It is a simple base builder game and doesn't send you into a rage because you can't keep up. I think it would be only worth one play through.
Not too bad. It was kinda short. And the amount of times you get attacked got ridiculous, but overall it was a cute game. I might play through it again. I do like that you can continue to play after you beat it with everything you opened up. That was a plus for me.
It was shorter than I thought it would be, so I'm glad I got it on sale. It's a nice little city management game. The constant demands for tribute from Hera and Mard were really annoying though because they just kept on happening every minute later on in the game. I love mythology, so I was a little annoyed at the use of Hera instead of Juno and calling her the goddess of darkness. Not to mention the stuff with Saturn. Overall, I liked it, but get it on sale.
Enjoyable, relaxing game in which you can build your own city. However, beware that not everything is easy as a demigod. The other gods will be jealous if you are too creative or do kind things for other gods.
What a fun little game! Beautiful, colourful, a bit silly and well-designed. Nuanced and detailed enough to be interesting, user-friendly and easy enough not to be a frustrating first-time experience. I'd certainly recommend it to any first-time players of city-builder type games.
My only complaint is that it is too short! There is A, one, SINGLULAR map to play, afterwhich your only option is to change your username and replay the exact same map again. The estimated "12 hours of gameplay" I read in the game's overview is pretty padded. I've played it through twice in just over 9 hours. For the $5 I spent though? Completely worth it!
I would be delighted to hear if this company planed to release a larger, multi-episodic expansion or sequel to this game, and treat this short-short version like a beta test. I'd be quite willing to pay more money for a bigger version of this game.
The game looks like an RTS, but it's not. You build your city, but there's no real challenge or losing conditions. Running out of food will make people protest. Enemies will wreak havoc, stopping a building's production. Aside from an in-game acievement for playing for x amount of hours without upsetting your people, there's no real repercussions for messing up.
The game consists of a single level which plays out linearly until the endgame grind for very expensive decorative buildings. It's fairly balanced, and playing normally the game will unlock new buildings as you need them. You can still completely break the tutorial by predicting tasks, though.
Is it a good game? Maybe not. But it is colorful, playable without sound, and easy to follow. If you've got a couple of bucks to spare and need something colorful and easy to follow while listening to a three hour podcast, this game serves perfectly well.
If you like games to be a challenge, All My Gods is not for you. No one ever dies and you cannot lose. You build a city and complete quests. You godly power helps a bit. It feels like a cheat at first, but it's rather annother ressource which slowly refills then used. The game starts with a tutorial, and immediately after the tutorial the game is at its weakest moments. You have to wait quite a lot for stuff to finish. That gets a lot better, because later in the games there are a lot of corners where you can do something. I'm a big fan of casual games, and All My Gods is the best I have been playing this year. The story is not very deep, but the building of the city is really fun. Most casual games I've tried this year prevent fun by implementing a slow process and introducting coins/gems/whatever to speeden up things. That only helps temporarily. All My Gods is ok with buying it once and then actually playing and liking the game. I love All My Gods and I will replay it from time to time.
This is really a nice building management game, reminds me a lot of Zeus previously.....Thumbs up for the game.
Fun little city builder/resource management game that reminds me of the Facebook games of yore (minus the pesky need to bug your friends)
It took a few hours before I gained enough land and mana to actually arrange the buildings the way I wanted, but that’s okay. I almost quit 1 hour in, but I'm glad I stuck with it.
Wish there were Steam Achievements, this game is perfect for them.
