Although the main storyline is short, this game has so much to discover! I've played it anew several times and I always discover something new. There many ways of achieving your goals, and you don't even need to follow the storyline if you just want to explore the possibilities. There are many!
The game is awesome. The gameplay and story is not very good at the end, but the graphics and atmosphere are truly unique and hard to find anywhere else. The atmosphere of student life, private parties, exploring and surviving from day to day, meeting new people, freedom and fighting against the evil system of society, in which you are still trying to find your place somehow, that's total guilty pleasure and reminder of my college years in its best. Nostalgia FTW! Else Heart.Break() grabbed my heart and conquered small place in there for long time to the future, possibly forever.
You might see the positive views praising the game in an awkward consensus: The game has a TERRIBLE beginning.
Maybe it's has a clever watch dog, matrix whatever. It's a game that fails to keep players hooked.
Go to YouTube for 3 hour walk-through, you'll see how boring, muffled and clueless the game's beginning is.
I'm gonna spoil there: You are a young man who got a soda salesman job in a new city. You arrived there in a hotel. There should be a contractor who would talk about your job but he refused to stay at the hotel where you always stay, somehow wanders around the city like a fool.
If you follow the clues to hit some bars and you will be distracted by a girl for the dumb forced love story line.
Well, if you are lucky to meet the contractor in the street, he will tutor your soda salesman's career.
And a very important tutorial about terminal use and the password.
Because the game wants you to market the soda to everyone and visit every door so you'll find some world glitches and weird stuff. And look, 3 hours in, you may finally see some interesting stuff and start to care about this dumb city and characters.
If you're unlucky, you went some your flirty girl parties before that. Your salesman's job is wasted.
This is where the game's design is broken for me.
The first time I met my contractor by chance, he talked like we met before and I was fired.
I watched the YouTube walk-through, the game just skipped the important plots for no reason.
Look, I don't even want to get along with that girl who hinted she got boyfriend, And I'm not in to girls. And all the people are pixel art how the heck should I have feelings for her?
Now this chick got you played for days and you lost your job. And the city is creepy af.
And all you have is what do I do, where should I go. Why am I still playing this game?
I've seen some weird stuff and places in this game. I can image the story world could be incredibly hacking manipulated. But what wraps this amazing core, is an boring, badly designed ugly skin.
I regret buying this. I can't refund.

9/10 it's Watch Dogs if John Watchdog had to actually watch the dogs. Skill-based reality unraveling. Arbitrary coke execution. Utilize the surveillance state to stalk your love interest just like a real federal agent. Break into prison to establish a remote source of energy drink bathwater delivered over IP to your IoT-enabled beer can. HACK THE PLANET
Now that I'm done with it: If you go into it knowing how to code, it's ultimately not very challenging, but the world and atmosphere are thoroughly enjoyable to explore. If you don't know how to code, it could be a fun way to learn some of the basics, provided you're tenacious. The story fell a little flat toward the end, I'm looking forward to a sequel :)
A frustrating broken mess. Wasted nearly four hours wandering around aimlessly picking up useless objects and "talking" to NPCs. The character you play as seems to have suffered some kind of head injury as most of his conversation consists of "uh...". See comments left by many others: It's unclear if the game is broken or not. I encountered the same kinds of problems as others: Characters aren't where they say they are, the story gives the impression of being softlocked.
