No idea what went on between this game and Assassin's Creed 2, but the leap forward in graphical quality is insane.
8/10. One of the best Assassin's Creed games. The setting of beautiful Italy is really interesting to explore, the story is rich and the main character is as charismatic as you would want him to be. A must play for any Assassin's creed games fan

7.5/10
I really enjoyed this game but major complaint would be that the DLC and the side missions too longer than the actual story of this game and that's disappointing to see.
Cons:
- I did find it strange that you lose the extended jump at the start of the game when that was a skill he had learnt in the previous game. This was not a skill which depended on any equipment but for whatever reason in this game it is. You require Leonardo to make you a glove which enables this.
- As mentioned, A LOT of side missions and for no real good reason. I did enjoy the Christina Memories, otherwise it was overwhelming for no reason. Whereas it could have been overwhelming WITH reason haha.
- Camera Angles, this is always the one thing which will go wrong or poorly in every game of Assasin's Creed I have played so far. Half the time a building or a branch of a tree is in the way of the camera view which causes you to take damage for unnecassary reasons.
- Streets in Roma are very annoying to get around. Some go underground to nothing and waste your time.
- Horses in this game still feel rough to steer and mount and dismount.
Pros:
- Glyphs, being still a thing is amazing. I love decoding the conspiracy files and getting a mini secret movie to explain more about the present day dilemmas.
- Quality has gotten better in terms of the way the characters mouth move and when they are dead and you shut their eyes.
- This game was a bit emotional regarding some missions and memories as well as ending. It has a way of hitting where it hurts since we ave been with Ezio for 2 whole games now.
- The map update is great in this game and is easier to read than past games, especially for treasure hunting.
- The brotherhood aspect was amazing but because the story felt so shirt, it felt like we didn't get to really optimise on that which in my opinion is a backhanded compliment as this game could have been in a much higher league of its own. But not to take away that this is still an amazing feature and hope it remains in future games.
- Seeing the other characters from the previous game still be relevant and around however older and wiser is amazing to see as the character development has you more invested due to seeing their growth and development.
They have made it so good as a sequel for AC 2 which is I really really amaze about all of the things this game has
While an okay game with a decent amount to do it just feels like a focus group version of AC2. There are only really 3 main assassin targets that just barely count as plot relevant and an underwhelming final boss fight, the "Templar Agent" missions are clearly there for filler because the main story rogues gallery is laughably small. I appreciate the improvement in graphics and the Lairs of Romulus side missions are a massive upgrade from the Templar Lairs.
Amazing game, great story and gameplay. Feels like an upgraded AC2, love the new recruits mechanic. Overall I recommend it.
Altair's and Ezio's story only! All games after the first four canonical stories (AC, AC II, AC: Brotherhood and AC: Revelations) are just a money grab and *Good Mor-ning Sunshine Meme!*
I played this game right after AC2 and the connection is made so good. The graphics are for 2010 very well done. I like it more than AC2 tho. It just feels like the better version of the game. I might even say this is the best AC game ever made. The end is so cool too.
I realy recomend it when its on sale. I got it for 3,49 bucks.
The ass part is Uplay.
Who thought it would be a good idea to make me log in every time i want to play the game. And Uplay donst hold up their games well in time.
In conclusion:
>Uplay is ass
>Best Ac game ever made
>great story
=>10/10
Very good game all around, continuing to build off of what assassins creed 2 did in both features and story.
But warning the ending does not work, when you get to segment 9 when you go to attack Cesare the cutscene dosent trigger. Making it impossible to progress afterward. Im sure there is a fix for this online but I havent bothered looking. And there is a frame rate problem across the entire game but thats a very easy fix after just a minute of googling.
[Game is still amazing especially with mods, despite the bugs and jank] Please don't buy this game from here if you value your time and sanity. It asks you to login to Ubisoft Connect EVERY SINGLE TIME you launch the game even when I'm logged in to Ubisoft Connect already. I tried directly launching it from the Executable file but Ubisoft Connect opened and was still prompted to login.
There is probably a way to play without logging in but why do I have to spend time to research to just launch the game in peace. I already brought the game.... Just let me play it. This company deserves every single negativity it receives and I genuinely hope it goes under.
Very nice game. Easy to control. Graphics are also great as it runs smoothly without graphics card. Story of game is also good.
Still an exceptional game in 2025, Rome is just beautiful.
The only con is the lack of cloud saves.
Just finished this game, definitely still is a great game and a nice story. I enjoyed finishing this, as a fan of the old AC games. I'm still impressed on how the environments and structures are designed to make the parkour mechanics fit nicely, although sometimes it's a pain when you're trying your best not to fall off, there's times when Ezio decides to jump off the ledge and kill himself for no reason. Which leads to my main critique of this game, the controls and some mechanics are already very dated. Other than that, still really good.
While the story of Ezio is incredible quite literally puling you in and immersing yourself as Ezio. However, this game is terribly compatible to PC, and would never play again on PC.
I've been playing AC series for the 3rd time and absolutely awesome. However, they should allow players who playing this game offline because of the login problem with the Ubisoft server, you won't be able to play this game without login-in on the server. They should allow them because you paid it, and you want to play it offline. I hope they could fix this problem.
Ubisoft Connect kept auto launching itself even after I disabled it as a startup program, and interrupted other games to launch a browser to try and get me to login if I didn't login after a certain amount of time of the program launching. I closed the program and it relaunched itself, and interrupted the game again, and then launched a browser again interrupting another game. If you can avoid buying and playing Ubisoft games on PC, I highly recommend avoiding them.
The multiplayer was incredible but sadly the franchise ditched it in order to churn out the same boring single player slop again and again and the servers for this are shut down.
Each time I play through an assassins creed game they seem to get better, once again, an improvement over the last, maybe not as substantial as from 1 to 2, but its definitely an improvement. This is essentially just a more refined version of 2 with some extra mechanics, in terms of gameplay, but in terms of story, I really like this one. I would have loved to experience the ending for myself, but couldn't because of a crash that wouldn't let me progress and complete the final 30 minutes with Desmond, however that alone is not enough to sour my experience with this game. Many people hold this in incredibly high regard, and while yes I do agree this game is incredible, I don't think its going to be my favourite out of the franchise. However I do still think this is a great game that everyone should experience.
It's been a while, but from what I recall, this game was also pretty good, with my one annoyance coming from the Brotherhood mechanic itself. I hate time sinks in single player games, and that is a time sink that I had hoped to not touch, but I think I needed to for 100%ing the game. Other than that, it's a good game.
Gameplay: 4.5/5
Story: 4.5/5
Graphics: 3/5
Overall: 4/5
While maintaining a 4/5 score, this is ironically one of the best of the early Assassin's Creed games. Building and expanding on mechanics set up in AC2, this game had a very smooth and almost flawless combat system, as well as a very easy parkour system. Personally, I play very heavily into the collecting and exploring so having one continuous "open" map was a very nice touch to get to jump headfirst into.
The game spends the first few Sequences being an over glorified tutorial before really getting into any MEAT of the story. The last 3 sequences could've been all you played and you wouldn't have missed much of the story at all.
While I love this game and respect others who think this was the greatest AC game of all time, I respectfully disagree and give it a very close second (so far. Playing through all of them in order as of now (2/20/25)).
You play Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed games like Valhalla or Mirage, none of which have the gameplay and storyline of the Ezio trilogy.
The legacy of Ubisoft is kept alive by this trilogy.
C'Mon. This is the peak of the series. Very, very few action games since have advanced beyond what this game did, and many don't do it even as well. Ezio is a perfect character, the music is world class, and the controls are quite good for a game this old.
This is where AC peaked for me. The fact that this game was made in just around a year still astonishes me. Gameplay is greatly improved, the addition of the recruits was a welcome addition and the story, in my opinion could have been the final one with Ezio and i would have been happy. Never played the multiplayer back in the day but it always looked fun and only ever heard good things. 100% grind is more enjoyable than 2 but still can get repetitive. This game is the reason that Ezio is still the poster boy of AC.
As usual very engaging assassin's creed game play with great graphics and a historical city
Feels like a DLC of the second game, which makes it pretty good

2nd best game in the series after AC2. The game had a significant upgrade overall and the story is great. If it wasn't for the unnecessary ending in the modern arc, it would've shifted series in a better direction.
A really good game with a compelling story. Assassin's Creed 2 is better and bigger than this game, however UI and keyboard controls of the Brotherhood are significantly better. Also AC2 has resolution limit and 60 fps frame cap, whereas there are no limits in this game.
Ubisoft, go back to your roots. The Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla "Trilogy" was also decent but nothing beats the Ezio Trilogy.
9/10. A lot of new features from AC2, but a lot of them are made redundant.
You can tell the unbelievable story to your kids that long... long time ago, some of Ubisoft games were good.
My personal favorite from the series with a really good port compared to ac2. Looks way better then it did on ps3 and runs better to. Strong story and fun gameplay
Great game, great visuals for it's time. Interesting story, I do recommend playing the first two games (Assassin's Creed I and II) too so that you could understand the context better and the game would also be a lot touchier if you also experience the character development from the past few games.
But regardless of how you are to play it, I do recommend playing this anyway, because it is a great piece of gaming history, it truly shows Ubisoft's potential as a company, even back when they were smaller than they are now.
I totally recommend playing it if you have not in 2025.
Hopefully Assassin's Creed Shadows would be a great game too...

personal verdict - ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ "7/10" ✅
I love the assassin's creed games. Getting to immersive yourself in a period of rich history brought to life with incredible attention to detail and quality voice acting is a modern marvel. Recommended for all ages. Thank you for letting me live through the Italian Renaissance.
Has an interesting story line. Plays much better than ac2
Assassin's Creed Brotherbood is an ok game, but the PC port is mediocre at best.
- Game suffers from audio lag.
- Ubisoft's launcher is here, for absolutely no reason, and it requires you to input your password every time.
- Game installs PunkBuster, even though Multiplayer has been shutdown.
- Game suffers from the exact same stuttering issue that plagued AC3 and AC Black Flag.
- The "Defend the villa" section still has it's difficulty tied to FPS. It's very difficult to complete while playing at 60FPS as it was designed in a way where you barely manage it at 30FPS, and it seems to be literally impossible while playing above 60FPS.
[*]Even when the game is running at max settings, Draw Distance is very low, so you can expect to see a lot of pop in.
The Ezio saga continues!
Back when it first came out I was super hyped for it and enjoyed it a lot, the teenager me thought brotherhood was perfect in every way now that I'm older the hype is gone I can review this installment properly.
the story is somewhat decent, not as good as the previous game but still decent especially the modern day is an improvement, the side missions are a little bit more diverse and interesting. the parkour for some reason feels inferior to AC 2 because of buggy movement, Rome is not suitable for parkour as there are many wide streets that make a lot of rooftops disconnected from one another. it is now possible to ride horses in city but you constantly run over people and face narrow alleyways so there's that. the combat is now easier than ever as you can rack up combo kills and fight large groups of enemies with ease which some might not like but I personally enjoy. it is now possible to recruit assassins and train them! and they can aid you in combat which comes very handy on some situations. there are a few new gadgets to play with and that's about it. overall albeit not as good as AC 2, Brotherhood is a fun game to play and worth getting if you are looking for an easy game to relax and enjoy.
The Ezio trilogy has to be one of the best Assassin's Creed games every created. After finishing AC2, I decided to buy the Brotherhood and Revelations and continue with the trilogy. When I first saw the trailer for AC Brotherhood on YouTube when I was a kid, it looked very bad-ass and fast forward trying the game for the first time after all these years after its release it is still a great game to enjoy. I loved exploring Rome and revisiting other storylines of Ezio's life. However, it felt frustrating at times when I was trying to get 100% on the syncs and when the controls were not doing what I wanted them to do. Furthermore, I skiped the clusters/glyphs since the reward of the puzzles didn't seem satisfying enough. Moreover, I was a little bit disappointed by the ending, since I thought that Ceaser was going to get killed in an historical accurate way and when Desmond got the apple of Eden, it felt a little bit far fetched to end it in that way (*not gonna spoil it for those who haven't played it). Kind of a shame that I wasn't able to experience the online/multiplayer mode of this game, since it seemed fun on the online gameplays (but that's understandable since that feature was available from 2010-2022). I like the mystery and history and how the old AC games present it with their own fictional storyline, so I hope that continuing to play Revelations and finishing the Ezio trilogy will make it all worth it for my time spent towards playing these games. Without further a do, Revelations here I come! Getting ready to explore Istanbul/Constantinople!
One more game which can't be passed without vertical syncronisation. 10 buckets with shit out of 10.
Can recommend this game only for those who played this game on release or reaLLY HUGE fan of AC franchise.
Great continuation and expansion from ACII, while smaller in scale it makes up for it with new ideas though regrettably the main villain is forgettable. I did run into a couple glitches near the end of the game, this can be fixed by turning on Vsync and limiting fps to 60.
A good game, though it's simply not meant for modern soft/hardware.
-Changing any primary graphical settings will cause a crash.
This on it's own makes the game unbeatable due to a majorly well-known glitch at the very end-game, which with my setup is non-fixable.
--If this is a game you want to play, get yourself a physical copy on a gaming console.
This game is OG good but for PC user? Sucks like a rifle in my mouth. Plus, I can't decode Da Vinci Code mission for "Home/Delete" button that are not compatible to my PC. Parkour animation is great but controlling the movement sucks butt. I keep getting 50% synchronization on some missions.
I loved most of it. the missions, contracts, assassin's, quests. having horses and travel tunnels was awesome.I did not like that you could not replay solo missions to get the 100 percent synchronization, I disliked some of the full synchronization goals, they were near impossible. like fight 13 mobs without losing health when you only have 5 bars of health or that same expectation of fighting tons of mobs without losing health. it might work out for gamers but for the average player not so much.
I played this for the first time now in 2025 after playing Valhalla a few months ago, and this was actually better. It's an old game that still holds up. The mechanics are quite bad at times, and tilting, but it has good fighting and story.
Improves on combat in AC2 and Ezio basically becomes overpowered through the crossbow and the assassin recruits. Parkour slightly suffers by subtly locking the angle you can jump at from a wall. The biggest weakness is the story, and oh boy is it hot garbage. What a massive letdown compared to AC2. Pretty much all characters established in AC2 has been completely ruined in AC:B, and forcefully introduces the most pathetic antagonist. Ubisoft should have just kept the original lead writer instead of being so money-hungry.
It's still recommended as you will still have a great time playing re:skinned AC2 in Rome and feeling like a god when you slice down an army of Borgia within a few seconds. The trailing missions sucked ass. Also more bugs then AC2.
Absolute must play just as amazing as the first 2 but even more features and more to learn and do late game.
I love the story the feel the visual by far one of the best entries. the only thing I don't like is the movement with a joystick. you could point right in front of you and it will have you jump 30 feet to the side killing you.
