this is the best best assassins creed game to me. due to it has everything a assassins creed need. combat is the 2nd best after ac 3 and parkour is ac 2 with extra moves and story is good even though the story is not greater then its previous ac 1 ac 2 but still it has good story and most emportently we can recruit assassins. no other ac game has that. sorry for the bad english.
Boring, bad gameplay, recommended, if free
skibidi game i won it from a champion ship tournament from usa 2025 i won in doom eternal speedrun i did it in 20 seconds and this was the reward for the first place
The best version of the Assassin's game in terms of story and ......
It's not a bad game, its just a ubisoft game. And I say that cuz I had one buggy experience. The story wasn't as captivating as 2 was for me, and the combat was fairly janky, but so was 2 and the game is old so ill overlook as much as i can for its age. I think the game play had a huge improvement from ac2, and its added onto this game alot and it did it with cool lore reasons aswell. The only thing I feel was a stepback was the story, it just wasnt that interesting as 2's, by a long shot to me imo.
also i finally get the hate for separate launchers now, i had to put my password into ubisoft every time i wanted to play yet i was already signed in, idk whats going on there but i understand why poeple negatively review games for that now
2 ezio games done / 1 more to go and it better be good
Fantastic classic, my 1st AC and still my favorite.
Let me preface this by saying i thoroughly enjoyed the game back in the day and playing it again is a HUGE hit of Nostalgia. That being said.
The old bugs and jank controls are still there bright and clear.
I have had numerous crashes and visual issues with this game starting about midway through.
I still hold a grudge against Ubisoft for several issues with their account management and support.
Having to link to a secondary account is abhorrent to me but I will say its not a game killer.
and last and the worst of the offenses being i forgot how short this game was.
Dont get me wrong the main story is fine but the side content is all filler or weird bits of lore that dont really go anywhere, and getting full sync was great back in the day but the banks give you money faster than you can spend it after only the first few sections. you are done with city reconstruction by section 6 of 9 if you are taking it even remotely slow and doing your side missions and you pick 1 or 2 weapons to use the entire game until you get the crossbow and one shot everything from stealth, or call in your brotherhood to do it for you. Promptly reverting to your hidden blade and a single melee weapon for the end fight.
If you do want to play the FULL Ezio trilogy again, get it on sale or through a bundle for all 3. Moving to Revelations to see if it is worth replaying as i remember it being the best of the 3 back in the day.
Wanky and unresponsive controls, boring and stupid story, uninstersting characters and mustache twirling villains, terrible, repetitve missions.
Excellent game, despite the years, you can still enjoy it a lot, especially the story, one of the best in the series.
If you played Assassin's Creed 2 and enjoyed it, you'll love this. It's 2 but better in almost every category. And the missions are replayable whenever as a bonus unlike 2. Big upgrade. Some of the optional full synch objectives on missions are horrendous though, and make 100%ing the game a little rough. But if you don't care about that, the game is a delightful experience all around.
So why the negative review? Ubisoft disconnected the servers that verify dlc you may own or have connected, locking you out of some of the content of the game. Thankfully it is minor here (unless you count the multiplayer, a much larger extension and game mode, but that is not my focus here) and there are community fixes if you insist on reclaiming these features. However, less pleasant to grapple with is a number of bugs the game suffers from in its PC release, all of which can be either community patched, or solved with external fps limiters and vsync. I've found the in-game options themselves to be of little help for solving these sometimes game breaking bugs that cannot be bypassed without these community or external options.
Is the game worth the effort troubleshooting to make work? Absolutely. But if I have to put that amount of effort into getting the game to run correctly because Ubisoft has not put the same effort into the port, fixed it, or accounted for their server disconnection with an update, then it also demands a negative review warning of the effort you'll need to put in to make the game work. It's a good thing the community is so dedicated, because Ubisoft is determined to let their older games library sink sadly.
My first time playing through the old games and it is an amazing assassin's creed experience. Ezio ftw
My first AC game, and in my biased opinion the best. This was easily the best game of the Ezio trilogy and is the first that comes to mind when I think of classic Assassin's Creed games. The story was great and the combat never gets old or repetitive.
Fantastic game. Amazing story, very smooth gameplay and alot to do!
Wish the game didn't crash as much as it did...and it also had some stuttering from time to time...but I can excuse that cause this game was totally worth it.
The game is fun but it's unfortunate that there are still bugs that have not been fixed until now
Cool sequel to AC2 that improved every single aspect of the predecessors. Didn't like the tower defence minigame.

THIS game is a masterpiece not greater than ac2 but yes one of the best games in ac series.combact mechanics graphics are improved story is great very fun game to play a 10/10 game.
Personally, I didn't like Brotherhood, apart from its soundtrack, which is my favorite now, for sure. Graphical enhancement and improved gameplay mechanics, like the looting system, are notable. Now, you can loot medicine and other items from corpses; you don't need to spend money on doctors. Yes, you can call horses in this game and ride inside Rome, and recruit assassins. However, the plot is very boring (except for Desmond's modern-day plot and Cristina 3 :'( ), and it has only one map, which is Rome. it also has some annoying missions where u get Desynchronized 24*7 ALsoooo I've no clue why Ezio spared Rodrigo Borgia lmao??
It's a mid-game. 4.5/10
Classic game, best game of assasin's creed series
Great game, even 15 years later the graphics are still stunning, even though my computer can barely handle it without it sounding like it’s about to take off. Only big issue is having to installl and connect to the Ubisoft Launcher.
Amazing game , only bad part is , you usually get the Romulus Treasure at the ending of the game so it's not helping you that much , a bit to many Flags and Collectibles but other than that 10/10.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood felt like a natural and emotionally impactful continuation of Ezio Auditore’s story. It’s not just a sequel — it’s an expansion of an already familiar world, one that allows the player to dive even deeper into the ongoing conflict between Assassins and Templars. The game doesn’t introduce radically new mechanics, but it refines nearly every aspect of Assassin’s Creed II, resulting in a more polished and mature experience.
What impressed me most was the concept of the Brotherhood itself. For the first time, you're not just an Assassin — you become a leader, building your own network, training recruits, and sending them on missions. This added depth to both gameplay and narrative, creating a stronger sense of responsibility and purpose.
Rome, as the main setting, is incredibly atmospheric. The city feels vast, alive, and full of contrasts — poverty and grandeur, decay and rebirth. Restoring buildings, liberating districts from Borgia control, and witnessing the city's transformation gave me the sense that my actions truly mattered.
Story-wise, Brotherhood seamlessly blends Ezio’s personal journey with broader political intrigue. He’s no longer a vengeful youth — he’s wiser, more focused, and carries the weight of leadership, yet he still feels deeply. His rivalry with Cesare Borgia isn't just about power — it's a clash of ideologies.
Gameplay is more fluid and responsive than ever. Combat feels cinematic, the Assassin recruitment system adds tactical nuance, and side missions are well integrated into the overall progression.
Even though it builds directly on the previous title, Brotherhood never feels like an expansion pack. It stands as a full-fledged chapter in the saga, with its own tone, pace, and emotional weight.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood cemented the series as one of my personal favorites. It didn’t just offer more — it offered deeper.
Great choice for an old games lovers. Gripping storyline and of course epic main character, Ezio Auditore. My honest recommendations!
Ezio's journey continues in a new conflict that comes. The center of the city of Rome in the 16th century, the iconic Colosseum of Italy is very detailed.
Played this originally on the Xbox when it first came out. I never tire of the Ezio Trilogy and continue to replay through these games. Brotherhood is my favorite among the three and I feel like it improved on everything great about 2 and doesn't have the clunky stuff that Revelations has.
The PC port itself is mostly OK; some graphical errors but so far nothing buggy in regards to actual gameplay. I can't recall if previous iterations of the game had certain elements spawn/despawn so suddenly, but there's also that though again, doesn't really affect gameplay.
The assassin's system ( guild , recruits , missions , contracts ) are so well done and is my favourite part of this game by far, the parkour is meh they removed the jump and grab mechanic ( the one you learn from the bandit girl ) so its kinda harder ( atleast i dont have it ), one of the best ac games i have played so far.
Do yourself a favor: set refresh rate to 60 Hz with V-sync on... The game pretty much breaks when it's over 60 FPS for some reason. Found out about it the hard way with the "Man the Cannon" mission and had to look up a guide.
it took me 40 hours. but god damn i 100% this game with pride. i honestly hate the warmachines and some of the missions for the guilds and objectives but well planned. i managed
8.5/10 won't do the warmachines missions ever again
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood amazed me with its rich and detailed graphics, making every location feel alive and authentic. The physics are incredibly smooth and realistic, enhancing the experience during parkour and combat. Each mission is crafted with care, offering a perfect balance of action, strategy, and storytelling. Overall, it’s an unforgettable game that I truly loved playing.
Loved
The last two memories sequence being back to back as a little asshole-ish
If I couldn't go backto free roam before finishing the game
either tell me or bunch up both memories
Literally you have to sign into Ubisoft Connect just to play, I used all my e mails and still it doesn't work, do NOT buy this. I want a refund
Ubisoft you MUST get rid of the Ubisoft Connect launcher for singleplayer games on Steam. There's no other way around it. You either put them on Steam with no launcher or don't put them on Steam entirely.
It's a great game with a couple outdated mechanics like the directional aspect of the climbing/parkour system and the pointless checkpoint system that does nothing to help the player achieve full synchronisation in each memory.
Many, many years after playing Assassin's Creed 2, I finally got around to playing Brotherhood and it reminded me of everything I love about the series: the fluid combat and free running, the rich history and detailed world, and the underlying sci-fi plot that seems to stretch on imaginatively forever. While Brotherhood doesn't massively advance the plot or differ that much structurally from the previous game, there's still enough for fans to get their teeth into. The setting of Rome isn't quite as cool as Florence and Venice from Assassin's Creed 2 but it's still just as fun to roam around in. The modern section is again less interesting but it's still constrained to a small part of the game and rarely interrupts the overall flow of the story, and it's still interesting in the overarching franchise story. Some of the missions are still repetitive or perhaps fall apart on closer examination, specially with so much detail and things to do stuffed into one game, but the effective gameplay means they are never not enjoyable. Some of the puzzles and collectables are also a bit meaningless but it's a credit to the world building and detail that they never feel too much like a chore.
I enjoyed the plot but this game really wins on the world building around the title of 'Brotherhood'. The factions of your allies including fellow assassins are more neatly woven into the environment making this feel more like a group effort than the more personal individualistic elements of the previous game. It really builds on the gameplay strengths to expand the world efficiently. The assassin's world is more fully realised here, making any drops in plot depth minor. The main character of Ezio also feels more mature and more like a leader, as you would expect. At times it can feel too easy or too straightforward but it doesn't stop it being an enjoyable experience. The weaknesses are still there but the strengths more than make up for them. Had a great time, bring on the next one!
i like the game play and it really good the beafor they are increasing perform that i like. i think ubisoft need make the other assassin's creed like this with more longer story
As a game, I'd say it's better than the previous one. The controls feel easier to manage (though I hate how swinging my sword easily carries me over the edge of rooftops). The synchronization percent for the different missions is kind of nice, though too often the "full synchronization" requires achieving the goal in an unnecessarily complicated way (which is often impossible without tons of repetition to get the moves just right). Buying and upgrading locations around the city is nice, and recruiting additional assassins is an interesting touch (that could be more fleshed out). The various side missions also are more diverse and interesting.
If it were just the game itself, I'd give this a lukewarm thumbs up, but I feel compelled to recommend against it because, for the first time in the series, Ubisoft is forcing me to use their terrible launcher. Entering my password every time I open the game is an unnecessary hassle. On top of everything, tonight I wasn't able to sign in because of some issue with the Ubisoft servers, which is absolutely ridiculous for a single-player game (at least since they no longer support the online/multiplayer component anymore). Really makes me never want to buy another Ubisoft game.
this game IS nostalgia, just don't use the first hammer that's unlocked, unless you want to get teleported under the map constantly.
I mean obviously ezio trilogy are great but the also desperately need remake, just to make them work better with modern settings. Some part of Brotherhood just isn't possible with VSync off and more than 60fps.
I really wanted to enjoy this game as much as everyone else said they did, but then i got hit with back-to-back trailing missions after the week-long break i took (also because of the excessive trailing missions)
The acting is arguably the best in the franchise but it only lasts for 10 minutes, then cuts to a trailing mission where you have to follow "Von Dick, The Evil Grape Eater" to get a random toddlers teddy bear back
"Press T to win" is easily the worst possible idea to implement in a stealth game, right after a tower defense simulator, the Brotherhood mechanic tries to replace the player's input and interaction for the sake of... nothing. It's a useless mechanic that actively makes the experience worse.
There is no conflict either, i didn't care about finding out if Machiavelli was betraying the Creed, but the story writers decided that we should have at least 30% of the dialogue be Ezio disagreeing with whatever the fuck that other guy's name is.
If this game was a couple of hours shorter it'd be a whole lot better, it feels like all the effort went into the Borgia sequences, then someone hired a mobile game story writer to fill in the blanks to make it into a full game in order to sell it at full price.
This is the worst of the Ezio trilogy (not even comparable), and in my opinion, the worst AC game ever.
This game is definitely worth it, but i do suggest playing the ac2 first if you wanna catch up with the lore, but overall this game is fun especially parkouring in Rome.
my favorite currrently on the ezio trilogy. so good, so many things to do. but, the city is small. but i recommend this to new players that enjoy classic games and the assassin's creed series
Gastei umas horinhas da minha vida pra zerar 100%, jogo muito bem construido! com muita coisa pra fazer, consegue te manter conectado na cidade de Roma, os detalhes de cada canto da cidade me intrigam, muito bom mesmo!
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is a direct continuation of AC II and successfully builds on everything that made its predecessor great—while introducing new mechanics that became staples of the franchise. Set in Renaissance-era Rome, the game focuses on Ezio’s rise as a leader of the Assassin Brotherhood and delivers one of the most well-rounded experiences in the series.
Pros:
Ezio in his prime: Ezio returns as a more mature, confident, and capable leader. His character continues to grow, and his presence carries the narrative with ease.
Brotherhood system: Recruiting, training, and sending Assassins on missions is both satisfying and strategic. Calling them in during fights or stealth takedowns never gets old.
Rome as a setting: A massive, unified open world filled with landmarks, secrets, and meaningful side content. The city evolves as you restore it, adding a layer of progression.
Refined gameplay: Parkour, combat, and stealth are all slightly improved over AC II, with more fluid animations and better mission variety.
Strong side content: Templar agents, Leonardo’s war machines, Borgia towers, and the rebuilt economy system offer dozens of engaging activities beyond the main story.
Multiplayer mode: An innovative (and surprisingly tense) take on stealth-based PvP. A fresh and underrated part of the game.
Cons:
Familiarity: Since it closely follows AC II in mechanics and style, it doesn’t feel as groundbreaking.
Main story pacing: While strong overall, the main narrative occasionally slows down in the middle and feels like a bridge to Revelations.
Some repetitive elements: A few side activities can become formulaic if you're aiming for 100% completion.
Conclusion:
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood takes the brilliance of AC II and expands on it in smart and meaningful ways. It’s not just more of the same—it’s a deeper, more polished, and more confident sequel. For fans of Ezio and the classic AC formula, it’s an essential entry that still holds up incredibly well today.
AC Brotherhood is by far my favourite game in the Ezio trilogy. I feel like it expanded on the AC2, while also adding new and exciting things to the game play.
Though Florence has my heart, Rome is depicted beautifully and the story, with how it weaves in our favourite characters from AC2, was beautifully done.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood improves upon basically everything from Assassin's Creed 2 for me. The combat is improved, the focus on one singular city rather than 4-5 leads to Rome being one of my favorite open world cities ever, and the story missions have been refined, with less filler. The Assassin's Creed formula is being perfected with this game, with my only major gripe being that its still too hand holdy with mission requirements. In most cases, if you stray off the intended path for the mission, you will fail it. Also there's far too many boring tailing missions.
9/10.
story wise, not as good as 2, but gameplay wise, so much fucking better
wish they never veered away from this type of play style ac 1,2, brotherhood, revelations have to be the best games of the entire franchise newer ac games just cant compete
good game the stroty, the parkour, sidequest ita all fun.and teh ending is so confuse
This is a great game, one of the best Assasins Creed games there is, none the less i can not recommend this purely off of the terrible costumer service, i bought this game long ago on Steam close to when it came out, i can now not play it anymore because of Ubisoft connect or play all the content i bought back in the day.
If i buy a game, i expect to have access to the game, not to have parts of that game taken away after the fact. It would be better customer service for me had i pirated it than buying it legitimately, you should not boy a game where content can be removed for no reason. Do not buy it.
