The Adventures of Fatman: Toxic Revenge was originally released in 2003, the first videogame made with Adventure Game Studio to be sold commercially. This version is the 2007 re-release or "special edition" (mostly fixes and refinement of the original version).

"The Adventures of Fatman" invites players into a world reminiscent of old Sierra games, embracing the classic point-and-click adventure style. However, despite its attempt to capture the essence of those older titles, this game falls short of being anything more than average.
The storyline and humor of "The Adventures of Fatman" are middling at best, lacking the depth and memorability that would truly engage players. The locations within the game feel shallow and fail to leave a lasting impression.
Puzzles in the game range from engaging to downright tedious, sometimes leaving players stranded without clear guidance—a familiar frustration from earlier adventure games. The title feels outdated, failing to address common issues in the genre like slow animations, pixel hunting, and illogical puzzle solutions. Dialogues offer little assistance in progressing, leaving players to fend for themselves.
Players should be prepared for the possibility of meeting various untimely ends within the game, emphasizing the importance of saving progress frequently. The voice acting in "The Adventures of Fatman" leaves much to be desired, with amateurish deliveries that detract from the overall immersion.
Additionally, the bonus features like the "Pizza Quest" game and the trailer video are unfortunately non-functional. Regrettably, my attempt to install and launch "Pizza Quest" resulted in a system crash!
In conclusion, "The Adventures of Fatman" may appeal to die-hard fans of the genre seeking a nostalgic fix. However, for those expecting a polished and immersive experience, it falls short of being a must-play title. Despite its attempt to capture the essence of classic adventure games, this outing lacks the finesse and quality needed to truly stand out in a crowded field of modern gaming experiences.
This game gave me diabetes.
Other than that, it's great. If you like old point and click games give it a whirl.
This Fatman is as bad as Robert Pattinson's Batman
I was drawn to The Adventures of Fatman because of its name, and the game delivered on what it promised. The script is kind of funny, but the gameplay itself is very confusing, making it hard to figure out what to do next. The dialogue was decent, and I liked the feature where you can listen to what the developer did for specific scenes. I stopped playing because I couldn’t figure out how to progress.
