Find a way to disable the scanlines somehow, otherwise they gonna pop in reality and turn your daily routine into a 80's trash movie.

For some reason, this single player game with no online functionality will attempt to connect to online servers every 10-15 minutes when you pause the game. The fix for this issue should be easy, just update the game to make it NOT look for those servers anymore... A million bucks says we never get that update.
Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon is great: same-old great Far Cry 3 gameplay, but with less crashes and the cheesiest dialogue and plot that could possibly be conceived. If it didn't try to connect to Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon servers that don't exist anymore, it would probably be able to move up to amazing, but this game is still worth a play if you liked Far Cry 3.
Good DLC but not the most amazing. The 80's neon nostalgia was cool at first but tired quickly. The game was so-so for me until the last 1/4 of the game and then it became pretty rad. It goes over the top in a very fun way. The last parts of the game made it worth it.
Hilarious and fun retro FC now finally with Achievements! Ultrawide gameplay, unlocked fps, FoV. Bodacious!

a small super mega fun Spin-off that unfortunately nowadays are no longer seen.

Ubisoft putting the minimum effort and adding steam achievements twenty years later. I won’t miss them when they go out of business.
Uplay trash is forced on to you and not just that this old game is just boring yer it has the 80s feel but after a wile its just farcry with lasers
All these years later it's still my favorite Far Cry they've ever done, it simply can't be topped in my eyes even with some recent playthroughs of the others.
I was one of those kids that played the demo A TON on the 360 just to hear that music BUMP, was kinda the time of my life for a bit there.
With these line of steam chieves ubisoft has been doing i felt it was time to play again and finish up the final one i needed, and boy was it worth it to get through it for the final mission haha.
Originally a DLC for Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon manages to be the sickest game in the Far Cry series despite that.
To this day I'd day this game deserves a much more fleshed out sequel.

is a great game but i cant recommend it right now because you can't actually play it.
they added achievements, but at the same time also completely broke the game causing it to not boot anymore. I've tried everything. Guess I'm not gonna be able to get that one achievement im missing. its a shame.
Have to use Ubisoft Connect to play the game, and it forces synchronization of achievements. Can't reset progress on their end, so a fresh play through is unattainable.
Good game, would recommend if it didn't need a secondary launcher

fun, short. and campy story with an 80's aesthetic. Well worth the few bucks i paid for it.
Save mechanism is broken. I'm done re-doing the same mission. Uninstalled. This is garbage. Don't waste your money like I did.

Okay, NOWADAYS this game is considered to have reddit humor, and be extremely stupid -
but FOR ITS TIME, and hell, even today, this is an extremely fun parody of fps games. I enjoyed my time.
A version of Far Cry but as an 80s sci fi action flick is everything you'd think it is, simply a lot of insane fun.
It's a nice Ubisoft "towers and collectibles" era. Love the cheesy lines and neon graphics.

[td]FC3 Blood Dragon has a pretty cool artstyle. It gives this old school 80’s Sci Fi vibe that not many games really represent. It’s colorful, gives a retro look, and fit’s the game perfectly. The graphics are similar to Far Cry 3, so they are pretty solid, even for today. Animations are also super cool and over the top, well when it comes to the weapon reloading. The CRT filter might be annoying to some, but I didn’t mind it at all since it fit the game.[/td]

[td]The gameplay is fun! It’s fast paced and has good gunplay. Far Cry always had solid gunplay anyway. The map is open world, so there is some exploration. All over the map you have these enemy outposts you can destroy, and once you do, you can use them as fast travel points. The enemies (even on hardmode) are pretty easy. This game didn’t really have much of a challenge. The only time this game gets tough is when you face the dragons. They are super tanky and cause a ton of damage. They are also surprisingly common on the map, which in my opinion, can be freaking annoying. Side quests are a thing in this game, and they do reward you with weapon upgrades. I mean it’s cool to see weapon upgrades, but most of them are mainly buffs and don’t really change the weapons that much. There is stealth in this game, but I never really used it, just sparingly. If you love stealth, then you might like it on here, although it’s super basic. Now I do feel a bit conflicted with the exploration. To be honest, it was kinda hard for me to get into this map. Most of the map just looked the same and didn’t really have any interesting locations. I guess I got spoiled by more modern open world maps, I'm not sure. It was just dull. Overall, the gameplay is solid. Nothing wild or unique, but still fun.[/td]

[td]The story is the highlight of this game. I had no regrets playing this, because the story was just so goofy and fun. Now the goofiness was intentional, and I love it. Didn’t take itself too seriously, and you can tell there was some care and love put into it. Sadly, the story is super short, but it was worth it. The only issue I had was the ending. I don’t think I should spoil it, but it was just anticlimactic. That’s all I will say.[/td]

Some may sound familiar to iconic 80’s movies, but it was done super well![/td]

Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon is a very good game and worth the money. Far Cry is one of the best game series out there and I highly recommend it.
Blood Dragon... what an 80's action packed fever dream..
This is probably the best thing Ubisoft has ever released...no joke, everything about this game or DLC, or whatever you wanna call it, is insanely BADASS.
The music, the story, the map, the weapons,the gameplay...every-freaking-thing about this game is pure peak.
In my opinion, THIS RIGHT HERE IS by far the best Far Cry game ever released!

Lost my save game file 3 different times. I uninstalled the game but decided to give it a 2nd chance. Now even though I have the correct username and pw for Ubisoft I have to verify through my email yet I have no email from Ubisoft. I am done with this and never messing with this game again and will steer clear of any other Ubisoft games in the future. I don't have the patience for this type of stuff not to mention how incredibly unnecessary these client apps are when I already have Steam.

Replaying it 10 years later and still as badass and hilarious as on day one.
If you like bad 80s sci-fi action movies, this is a game for you. If you're a grittygrit tryhard who finds no joy in anything maybe give this one a pass.
Short and sweet.
A cheesy romp through a pocket version of a Far Cry game. Perfect for people who want the experience but that don't have the time.
Unfortunately requires Ubisoft connect, but this is not the end of the world.
Be certain to look at posts in the Steam Community tab how to make the game experience more pleasurable.
!!DO NOT BUY!! Ubisoft killed the servers for FUCKING SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. Such a fucking shame. I still remember when this was announced as a April Fools prank. Youd have to watch a Youtube video or find a crack for this game to experience it, saddly.
The best Far Cry game because it doesn't have time to meander and run out of ideas like the other ones do. The aesthetics are also pretty cool and weren't commonly done around when it came out.
The cyberpunk before the cyberpunk
Don't bother. The game might be fun but every time you pause the game will spend a few minutes attempting to connect to Ubisoft servers that no longer exist and they are too lazy or incompetent to fix this, making any attempt to play the game an exercise in frustration

Game itself is good but this port is terrible. For one, it constantly checks the non-existent Ubisoft servers and you end up waiting longer than needed in the main menu and even longer when you pause the game. Furthermore, the performance is inconsistent and bad with the game dropping to below 60 fps even on an rtx 3060ti at 1440p in the intro and it has micro-stuttering afterwards.
Don't buy from Ubisoft, this is the first and last game I'll ever buy from them.
- First you need to make an account with Ubisoft (something that doesn't work the way you'd expect it and I ended up spending over an hour trying to finally log in)
- Second, everytime you press pause in the game you often have to wait for 2 full minutes while your game tries to connect to a server that no longer exists. An online connection for a single player game.. really?
In short, not worth the hassle. A single player game is something you should be able to just start up and play, none of this bs.

This game is the definition of "Hell yeah".
It is totally fun to fight a blood dragons on a relatively small map!

Excellent DLC to an already excellent game.
I unironically love the soundtrack, the neon, the power ranger looking enemies, it's all so great.
Wouldn't mind seeing a Blood Dragon 2 one day.
About 10 hours to 100% on hard.
Most of it is still a bit tedious but the last mission is very fun.
Do not bother collecting everything, there is no NG+ and there is nothing to do in the end game after everything is collected.
The menu loading is ungodly long, since it tries to access a server that's gone.
also the saving and loading seems to be bugged, I cant seem to access any saves and have to restart from the beginning everytime I start up the game.

The perfect mix of Far Cry gameplay and 80s Action. This is a cheesy, super fun time. Honestly, I think this might be one of, if not the Best, Far Cry games out there because it has the same open world fun, while still being small enough that it cuts out all the waiting between action moments. I felt like I was doing something new every second, which is how I was able to complete every quest in the game and collect every collectible in my short playtime.
surprisingly funny
I don't even like the other Far Cry games, but this stand-alone spin-off of FC3 is bonkers good. Haven't played in a long time but I remember me and my buddy ripping through this and loving every second. Short and sweet.
Game won't launch on Win10 so I'd recommend you save your money. The game was great for the time, but it's likely Ubi won't fix it now.

The best Far Cry game to date. Only downside is that it isn't a full size game.
As much fun as FC3 for cheaper.
