Lost my save game file 3 different times. I uninstalled the game but decided to give it a 2nd chance. Now even though I have the correct username and pw for Ubisoft I have to verify through my email yet I have no email from Ubisoft. I am done with this and never messing with this game again and will steer clear of any other Ubisoft games in the future. I don't have the patience for this type of stuff not to mention how incredibly unnecessary these client apps are when I already have Steam.

Replaying it 10 years later and still as badass and hilarious as on day one.
If you like bad 80s sci-fi action movies, this is a game for you. If you're a grittygrit tryhard who finds no joy in anything maybe give this one a pass.
Short and sweet.
A cheesy romp through a pocket version of a Far Cry game. Perfect for people who want the experience but that don't have the time.
Unfortunately requires Ubisoft connect, but this is not the end of the world.
Be certain to look at posts in the Steam Community tab how to make the game experience more pleasurable.
!!DO NOT BUY!! Ubisoft killed the servers for FUCKING SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. Such a fucking shame. I still remember when this was announced as a April Fools prank. Youd have to watch a Youtube video or find a crack for this game to experience it, saddly.
The best Far Cry game because it doesn't have time to meander and run out of ideas like the other ones do. The aesthetics are also pretty cool and weren't commonly done around when it came out.
The cyberpunk before the cyberpunk
Don't bother. The game might be fun but every time you pause the game will spend a few minutes attempting to connect to Ubisoft servers that no longer exist and they are too lazy or incompetent to fix this, making any attempt to play the game an exercise in frustration

Game itself is good but this port is terrible. For one, it constantly checks the non-existent Ubisoft servers and you end up waiting longer than needed in the main menu and even longer when you pause the game. Furthermore, the performance is inconsistent and bad with the game dropping to below 60 fps even on an rtx 3060ti at 1440p in the intro and it has micro-stuttering afterwards.
Don't buy from Ubisoft, this is the first and last game I'll ever buy from them.
- First you need to make an account with Ubisoft (something that doesn't work the way you'd expect it and I ended up spending over an hour trying to finally log in)
- Second, everytime you press pause in the game you often have to wait for 2 full minutes while your game tries to connect to a server that no longer exists. An online connection for a single player game.. really?
In short, not worth the hassle. A single player game is something you should be able to just start up and play, none of this bs.

This game is the definition of "Hell yeah".
It is totally fun to fight a blood dragons on a relatively small map!

Excellent DLC to an already excellent game.
I unironically love the soundtrack, the neon, the power ranger looking enemies, it's all so great.
Wouldn't mind seeing a Blood Dragon 2 one day.
About 10 hours to 100% on hard.
Most of it is still a bit tedious but the last mission is very fun.
Do not bother collecting everything, there is no NG+ and there is nothing to do in the end game after everything is collected.
The menu loading is ungodly long, since it tries to access a server that's gone.
also the saving and loading seems to be bugged, I cant seem to access any saves and have to restart from the beginning everytime I start up the game.

The perfect mix of Far Cry gameplay and 80s Action. This is a cheesy, super fun time. Honestly, I think this might be one of, if not the Best, Far Cry games out there because it has the same open world fun, while still being small enough that it cuts out all the waiting between action moments. I felt like I was doing something new every second, which is how I was able to complete every quest in the game and collect every collectible in my short playtime.
surprisingly funny
I don't even like the other Far Cry games, but this stand-alone spin-off of FC3 is bonkers good. Haven't played in a long time but I remember me and my buddy ripping through this and loving every second. Short and sweet.
Game won't launch on Win10 so I'd recommend you save your money. The game was great for the time, but it's likely Ubi won't fix it now.

The best Far Cry game to date. Only downside is that it isn't a full size game.
As much fun as FC3 for cheaper.
I had a great time playing this game, and Rex humor and the way he talk is just so funny. 10/10

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a fun, retro-inspired spin-off, but it doesn't quite live up to the depth or impact of Far Cry 3. The gameplay mechanics are familiar, with open-world exploration and first-person combat, but they’re simplified. There's less emphasis on crafting and exploration, and the upgrades and combat don’t offer the same depth as in Far Cry 3. The weapons, though, are a fun mix of futuristic laser guns and flamethrowers, offering a fresh twist on the familiar formula, but the missions can get repetitive.

extremely funnt shame you needed to go through uplay connect, had me wait lots for it just to say that the servers were offline
You need to block the .exe with a firewall or be tormented by unworking ubisoft service for 2min each time you enter the main menu.
The game is good though. Just requires extra work.
Fun and fairly simple far cry game similar to far cry 3. Takes a bout 8 hrs to complete good for a weekend.

Have to request a refund because the game wont launch. Tried the EXE files, still wont launch. Par for the course for a UBIsoft Game. I should have known better but here we are.
1) It installs the crap called "Ubisoft Connect", which I don't need by myself, but of course this $hitty company demands it from you
2) Ubisoft Connect couldn't create an account for me as my password (which I had to reset as I forgot it) was longer than SIXTEEN LETTERS F YOU UBISOFT WHO CARES HOW MUCH LETTERS ARE IN THEIR PASSWORD IN 2024????????????
3) It was written that "internet will be demanded only to launch the game for the first time to only SignUp" in EULA. Let's begin with that it takes very long time to launch that foking UC and after it the game itself autoruns. It loaded its menu (which was long and not good for 2024) with internet, but after I turned off Wi-Fi on PC (ASUS TUF F15) and started the game 2nd time, I had to choose "run offline" in UC, and it just kept spinning. I started stopwatch, it took 3 minutes and still game didn't start, so I just regret that bought this piece of dogsh. Again, THE GAME JUST DOESN'T LOAD ON SECOND TIME (even that I had to CLOSE UC IN TRAY - why it doesn't close by itself?!?!)
4) UC still stays in tray even when I quit the game
5) Keep in mind that it's 2024. Game is from 2013, but Deus Ex 2000 (ok, I had to install patches as publisher is dick, but anyways) runs after mostly 1 second even with asbence of patches (GOTY edition), so don't buy it
6) EULA says "we don't care which components that DRM will install into your machine" (?!?!). If you work not on game but to make it as safe as possible in negative terms, go to doctor
7) Steam says I spent 13 minutes, but it only accounts loading of that MaStErPiEcE and options pane, as I didn't even load first level (campaign or something). IDGAS what year it was made in. Now it's 2024 and it should not exist in this form

The only flaw with this game is that you have to put in a file which blocks the game from trying to connect to non existent servers. The music is SUPERB, sounding like peak 80's scifi. The gameplay makes you feel like an 80s action hero. Nonstop 80s power fantasy immesion.

Wish there was a Blood Dragon 2.
Pros:
- Great relentless action
- Good characters and VOs
- Weapons despite limited, feel awesome.
- 80's aesthetic if you liked it as well as I do.
Cons
- Feels short but the price warrants it.
- The final weapon system you get lacks moves for my taste.
Ultimately, a great action standalone DLC.
A FANTASTIC GAME!
I've played beaten all of the Farcry games and this is was a blast.
Feels like a actual video game and pulls no punches.
It's a must play for sure!
