Good game if you like parkour games.
Relaxed and fun (if you don't try to speedrun it)
It is also great way to clear your mind for a while.

however it isn't very low-end friendly but still highly recommend
This is not a normal bunny hop game, but if you can get over that, then it it stupid fun. The exploration, the inate need to speedrun each level and find shortcuts to get a better time is addicting. Give this game a try if you haven't.

Overall, Hot Lava is a fun parkour/action game with a lot of potential. Once they fix things like the control design, it’ll become a solid game on Apple Arcade. Until then, Hot Lava remains as a great game for the people with the correct equipment, i.e. a Bluetooth controller. The environment and unique universe will keep you entertained from beginning to end, and thanks to the different starts and collectibles there are, you have a lot of reasons to keep playing this game

You can 100% fairly quickly, personally found the movement a little... sticky is the word i'd use but im not sure that fully captures it.
It's fun for a few hours but you probably need friends to make it last. Something i lack.
not a bad game. if you grew up playing old b-hop games like gmod has the controls are a little different but it feels the same! good content and maps and cool reward system for collecting little cosmetics for your characters

If you like to go fast then you should jump in

Fun parkour with good platforming mechanics and movement abilitys. Really cool character and level design too
This is just barely a recommendation, as I am overall lukewarm.
Hot Lava is weird. It´s caught between many gameplay niches and does not really serve any of them enough. Caught between precision First Person Parkour, a collectathon platformer, a social hangout game and a hardcore speed game, it is the jack of all trades, but REALLY does not master any of them.
If you are looking for a new speed game obsession, you should probably keep looking. The airstrafe mechanic in this game feels terrible and is very limited, an attempt to make bhopping and momentum gaining casual and transparent that fails due to its clunkyness. Surfing also feels just bad, and frequent obstacles force you to abandon your momentum unless you absolutely know the map in and out. In general, the base movement speed is pathetic and should have been higher - losing momentum is a trite punishment as building any semblance of speed back up is arduous.
So why the positive review? Well, if you equip the Slide boost ability and forgo the awful strafe mechanics, it ends up being a really nice casual platforming romp. Some obstacles feel really good to smoothly navigate, and three of the dev-made worlds are actually really good and have great flow. The community made maps are okay, but often rely on the bad momentum mechanics instead of doing clever air control and precision trials.
If you are itching to scour levels for collectibles or if you are looking for a casual precision platformer game with mostly nice animations and often good level design, then this is worth playing - the first person platformer genreverse is sparse in games anyways. If you are looking for a clean game focused on speed and good level design, Catboy Zoom or Warstride challenges got Hot Lava beat any day of the week.

Awesome game if you're interested in parkour - pretty quick to complete the game, however there is plenty of community maps to keep you entertained.
Terribly crooked game. You are always slipping off platforms, hit boxes are not correct and a bunch of other problems that are long to list. It's just boring and not interesting. Better play Free Running.

Is a good
Such great value for money - this game (2024) is still getting content added to it which is fantastic.
Simple premise - the floor is lava, get from A to B in different locations, find hidden items, do it fast (or not, there's no punishment) and you can level up for some more items ass well.
Has online multiplayer as well and you'll see people jump in and out from different areas which is kinda cool.
There's quite a few areas - you can sandbox around in an open-world and each "stage" is divided down from the area you're in. Plus Workshop is available so there is plenty of user content as well.
I absolutely adore this game. It's a really fun time trying to get all stars for a level. It's such a nice feeling when you finally find a crucial shortcut. It's niche but really good.
i don't believe this game came out in 2019 i thought it was like 2015 whaaaaat
I remember when I got a free trial of Apple Arcace, this was the game I sunk most of my time. I couldn't really be bothered to keep up the subscription so imagine my joy when I discovered they published this game to Steam as well.
Despite playing the first three worlds on iOS, I played them all over again with no boredom. The game is highly replayable, addicting, and clearly has a lot of love and care put into it.
The only complaints I have are occasional audio glitches where dialogue from the sister or music would play two tracks instead of just one and they're always just slightly out of sync when it happens. It's not a very common issue, however.
But other than that? The completely free unlockable cosmetics and the massive amount of content for the game for $20, this is a masterclass in how I wish all game devs package their games.
Fun parkour platformer with a charming action figure / comic book theme. Perfect for kicking back and hopping around, or, hustling to master each level and collect all the things. I only wish it was way more popular and getting more content.

It is so simple but still so great.
Everything is easy to understan. Mechanics, superpowers and what you have to do.
The most difficult levels are the ones with catching your sister, at least it was for me.
Also you can enjoy playing this game with your friends!
All in all I really love playing this game!
