Very fun game! Bouncy castle level is really easy to speedrun! This deserved a lot more popularity than that Don't Starve bullcrap.
Even tho it's old it is still good. The movement was a little awesome and i used to play this when i was 4-5 so im kinda an expert to it.

So much fun! I recently picked this game back from my library and I totally forgot how fun this actually is! 100% it in steam in a week. All tho there is still a lot of levels left, I really do recomend if you like chill 3D platforming games or Bhopping, etc.

Fun little parkour game. Am enjoying immensely. Fun trying to find alternate routes with a few different abilities through the courses.
this game is very fun and creative,you can make your own map in community and some of the map is still challenging to get full star
After 10 hours and the 100% I can say this game is awesome. This game is a really cool 3d platformer, and I really enjoy the action figure pov.
Overall: 8.5/10
The thought of playing it was more fun than actually playing it. Basically a bunny hopping and surfing game. Maybe I would've liked it more back in the day when we still had Discord voice chat conversations with old friends.
If you like speedrunning or you like bhop/kz in CS, this game is for you. If you're not into these things or you're not sure, you might not enjoy the game. It's essentially just going from the start of the level to the end over and over again.

WATCH OUT THE FLOOR IS LAVA
Perhaps worth it on 90% sale, otherwise not.
Pretty much everything about the game feels like it's made without putting any real effort in it. Feels like it's someone's hobby and now he's asking money for it.
Solid game. I recommend stopping after the base game. The featured workshop maps they added are quite bad. They're probably just the only workshop maps that had greater than zero effort put into them.

A nice and simple platformer.
Easy to get into and there is a bit for everyone (kind of not for you if you don't like jumping a lot over obstacles - cardio am I right?) - there are easy maps which you can play while relaxing and ones for people who like a little challenge.
Childhood dream come true; the floor is lava and jump on the furniture. I'm the slide jump master!

I really wanted to like this game, but there's a few things that really frustrate me and prevent me from enjoying it. I want to preface the review by saying that I engaged with the game more as a 'parkour' type game, and less as a bhopping experience. This is because I found bhopping on the Steam Deck to be pretty difficult.
First, the level design on display here just isn't very engaging. There ARE cool ideas, with swinging ropes and slanted surfaces you can 'surf' on and environmental hazards... they just aren't used often and well enough. A lot of the levels, I found, are moreso just precariously placed surfaces for the player to bhop on.
There's an odd design decision here where you can only have one 'power' at a time. Double jumping as an optional power... okay, sure. But vaulting, bhopping, and sliding? This should all be part of every player's toolkit, so that the designers can really go ham with the levels and because it's just way more fun to have access to all of them at the same time. It kind of feels like, when choosing which power to use, you're deciding which parkour game you want Hot Lava to feel the most like. But at the end of the day, it would have been a much more interesting and fun decision to have Hot Lava utilize all of these mechanics at once.
Also, while I initially LOVED the theme here, action figures avoiding hot lava in otherwise mundane spaces.... it's just not taken far enough in many of the stages. The only thing that really comes through in a lot of these levels is the 'floor is lava' motif, and not the actual theme of the level. Most of them aren't much to look at, are very samey looking, and kind of just feel like a lava level in a video game. It stops being fun to look at.
There's also a problem with online play being on by default, and I found the only way to switch myself to offline mode was restarting the game (I could be wrong). This was just kind of annoying, especially since this game doesn't really make sense to me as a multiplayer experience?
I would say this game has a lot of cool ideas, but fails to do anything meaningful with them and also fails to be a fun parkour game past the first hour.
Chill game, it's worth it for a couple of hours and really good for backround gameplay for a youtube video

What a fun game! I got it for $6 in a sale and it was easily worth that. The game is a fun parkour game that takes place it well made settings like a school and Bulko (Costco). The movement is smooth and the original maps are very well designed.
For 100%ing the achievements, It was not overly hard. It was well balanced, just general skill needed and doable without annoying grinding. I could actually enjoy the game. Got 100% in about 15 hrs and I was not just rushing to do them prob could be done in 10 hrs.
This is for kids. I'm not quite sure what I expected, but it's very, very clearly for kids.
This is the most watered down, bland "game" I think I've ever purchased. It's so far from the level of quality I expected from Klei that I'm a little skeptical it's even the same company.
You run. You jump. You move at a walking pace (too fast and the kids would get dizzy, of course). It's on sale currently for 5 euro. The original 17 euro seems absolutely laughable.

For the sale price it would have been a fun game to fill the time, but I have one big issue.
By default you are opted into data collection in the settings menu. If you would like to turn that off, you will have to sacrifice the ability to play online and unlock cosmetics. In this PAID game, you are required to have your data harvested in order to play online. Ridiculous.
Nice little pallet cleanse. But encountered wicked bug as it put me in a group I never asked to join and removed my ability to play anymore nor leave the group. Had to force stop the game. It's definitely a fun little option for $6
Tons of fun traversal parkour game. I love the subtle competitiveness and extensive customization elements to it. Fun to jump in and out for a few levels.
If you disable data collection the developers turn off 95% of the games functionality. Terrible devs and honestly a pretty terrible game too.

This game is super fun and has a subtle element of competitiveness.
You can decide for yourself whether to play casually or tryhard, and for me, that's what makes this game so great.
