Sunny Hillride is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. The mobile app is best described as a one-button endless runner where you press on your iPhone screen to make your little 3D low poly cartoony car drive down hills faster to then get some wicked sick air over the next hilltop. Collect coins for points and petrol cans to try increase your time in the level. I would imagine this was very popular on iPhones, but this is not the Apple App store. This is far too shallow to be taken seriously as a PC game for dedicated gamers.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The controls can't be customised because the mobile app has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone.
The poor quality of this mobile app is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 12 players. That's right, only 12. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the mobile app is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality mobile app seriously, and for good reason.
Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $2 USD, on app stores, it's free. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile game just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. Because this can be played free elsewhere, and because of the other defects, it's impossible to recommend. Who do they think we are?
I got it because I enjoyed the Crash Time Alarm for Cobra 11 series. It's a decent little 2D runner, worth it on sale.
Just a little Fun Game.
Perfect for relaxing or Work Breaks.
Don't expect an long Game like Climb Hill Racing in this.
There Are no Upgrades, other Areas or other Cars, as I know.
The Game is like this runner Games, it give you some Minutes Fun, the you turn it off again.
The Price is a bit to big, so get it in a Sale or buy it to support the Dev(s).
The earth is 4.6 billion years old and we managed to exist at the same time as this masterpiece.
Graphics are pretty, but this is a blatant mobile game clone and should stay on google play.
Meh... It's simple. Something I'd let my nephew or niece play when they're over. Only recommended if you got kids.

I get that it must be an alpha or beta, but its still not worth 2 dollars because its lacking features that would be good like a shop or something to use the coins.

I spent 31 minutes playing this games story mode and I felt devastated to find that there was one.
If you are a fan of Bad Rats, fuck you, you will probably like this game.
Also if you like paying money for games that are free on your phone, or that you can find a better version of back in 2002 on albinoblackshepp, then have fun!
No but seriously for 39 cents it was alright.
First off I want to cover the graphics, very visually appealing to my eyes. The game is vibrant and colorful. The environmental levels hit a soft spot with me, the creators were not lazy just to have one level. I also found this game extremely addictive and I spend countless hours a day on this game.
There are some downsides however, there are only two different languages to choose from (English and German) and if this game wants a chance at going international I would expect them to make this change immediatly. There also seems to be some problems with the landing, sometimes I would lose my luggage when I landed fine.
The sound is also was a small issue for me. It was too loud and I had to manually go to my sound mixer and turn it down. The music was very enjoyable and the only option was to turn it completlely off.
In conclusion there needs to be more options in the menu and more languages added and if so this could easily be one of the top games of the year.
Played trough the bad unity mobile port in ~30 min and the screaming was annoying as hell. I bought it for 0,89€ and it's not worth it. -10/10
They where to lazy to convert the ingame achievements to work with steam.
Quick cash grab for the Devs.
It hurts me to downgrade this game. You need to drive between hills and grab coins. I like it. Its simple, fun and pleases me. The bad news is....the game simply breaks and closes after a while playing. Everytime.

Took me about 20 minutes to figure out how not to crash your car into every hill there is. Too bad this game is only 20 minutes long.
Short but funny, well soundeffects and good if you wait for your friend who just wnats to finish his "speed" run.
no way in hell its worth the price very basic repetitive and unimaginative almost no controls its just limited and pointless i felot there was no clear win or lose and the graphics style wasnt very good
TL;DR
It's okay - there's not much to do after the 20 minutes it takes to complete the campaign, and the game is mechanically less satisfying than Extreme Road Trip.
I was hoping this would play somewhat like Extreme Road Trip, but it lacks the variety of playing as different cars, and the endless mode is completely pointless. The reasons being that it's impossible to die, it's still segmented into levels, your score is reset after each level, the leaderboard doesn't function, and coins aren't used for anything. I'm still wondering why the tutorial says to "collect coins to increase your budget."
The only goals in the game are to complete the 12 levels of the campaign, and to collect a souvenir from each. There's no rewards for this, only score bonuses. You can also go for the (in-game only) achievements to extend your playtime for maybe about an hour and a half, but then there's nothing left. This is a bit of a lazy port. It's not bad, but I can't recommend it either.
Shouldn't complain to much about this little gem. Its just a little casual game to pass the time, and the price is perfect. Needs a few twecks here and there but nothing major. Gotta get that controller support in the game(Which would be way bettter than the mouse) and add some more levels (DLC). Kinda has that retro 50's theme going.I like that. The music is cute and i love the sound effects. Especially the kids screaming while going up and down the hills and pulling off stunts. Haha Its a yes for me!! :)

Tiny Wings with cars - and less delightful
I like tiny wings and therefore its hard to 'dislike' this game, but the rampant plagiarism irks me
Get it when in it's in a bundle or on sale
Very repetitive, no fun steering. Super short story mode.
Keep 'em coming though, love minigames!
