Chicken Invaders 3

my childhood game, finally beat it after 15 years.

If Chicken Invaders at all looks even slightly appealing for you to play, then play this one. This is by far, the definitive peak of the entire Chicken Invaders series and while 4/5 are incremental improvements, they don't capture the raw spirit of the Chicken Invaders experience quite like Revenge of the Yolk does.

The boss design captures the essence of the game experience. You need to fly right under enemies to shoot them, but doing so puts you in a vulnerable position for attack. This fundamental loop is worked around in all of the U.C.O. encounters as well as the Yolk Star, which I believe to be the best boss battle in the entire franchise.

I have mixed feelings about the remaster. My recommendation is to play the original, or configure the remaster in such a way that you can get it as close as possible to the original experience.

My favourite Chicken Invaders game. It introduced the modern graphics that all of the games after it used, its gameplay loop is a lot of fun, it has the most memorable soundtrack in the series, I like how it's harder than the other games (not counting those Comet and Asteroid chapters though) and I think The Yolk-Star is the best final boss in the series.

The amount of detail you guys put into the big update blows me away, painting details are INSANE. Amazing developer. This game brings back to many AMAZING memories as a kid, will forever love interaction studios. You guys ROCK!!!

The game is nice but I don't understand how can you save the progress on two players on CI2 but you can't do it on CI3. It's incredible, tbh.

Classic and nostalgic

Very cool that this classic childhood game got such a big and neat update.

Space Invaders-type game where you shoot chickens and eggs, with Star Wars and Star Trek reference in it.

They updated this 10 year old game a few days back.

W devs 10/10 game

Honestly, the episode remastering has made this, and the other 5 chicken invaders games WAY better and less repettitive with the addition of CIU enviroments, endless mode and 1 life mode (+ i am in love with the no heat mode, makes me feel like i'm playing cuphead). I still don't get boored of screwing up my no death runs to the final boss, but i still enjoy the first chicken invaders game i have ever played. My biggest complain is that the update has removed online and has rendered the seasonal DLC edittions useless since you can now adjust them in the settings free of charge. it kinda makes me feel bad for the people that have spent their well earned money on something as petty as a xmas themed chicken invaders game.

**To anyone new to the series reading this review;**

"i highly reccomend you DON'T pick this game as your first chicken invaders game. It's difficulty alone makes me fear the shoot 'em up genre as a whole. Chicken Invaders 4 is the best option for new people looking to beggin immersing themselves in this chicken shooting classic that brought unforgetable memories to all balkan players out there. Get this game if you're looking for something challenging and nostalgic (and if you're a complete masochist)"
