Описание

Timed gameplay-

Not often attempted, with modern survival games, is the sense of seriousness to escape in a period of time. Three Days gives a new perspective on urgency by adding a 72 hour - three days - time limit allowing the player to get involved in gameplay with an incentive to escape. We have fine-tuned ThreeDays to suit most players without it being impossible,and for the more casual players we have created an endless mode which has no time limit allowing a less intense experience.

Unique creation system-

Three Days has its own unique crafting system: simply take a movable resource and drag it onto another resource to see what you can create. No inventory, no fuss.

Procedurally generated islands-

The game includes islands that are randomly generated every time you play allowing diverse gameplay every time it’s played. Not only this, but each island has its own original name and generation and all resources that are generated on the island will be placed elsewhere.

Stats-system-

Three Days contains a dynamic ever changing stats system, where the player is in constant need of attention to survive which is achievable by looking after the players hunger hydration and temperature. The system is ever changing is and the player is always in a new procedurally generated island, meaning different amounts of resources and different weather effects to survive with.

Auto-mine-

The automine mechanic was influenced by playing other games with different mechanics requiring the player to hit or hold a button to break and collect resources. Personally, I disliked this system and wondered how I could do it differently and came up with the automine feature. The player is simply brought over to the resource desired to break and it will automatically start to break.

Upgrade/levelling system-

ThreeDays also allows you to collect experience from breaking primary resources such as trees and boulders, this allows level ups and PPs (Perk Points) which can be spent on 15 different upgrades for the character, such as killing and catching fish without a rod to slowing the timer down. The level system will also directly affect the player’s fate at the end of the game via 4 cutscenes.

Personally, I enjoy a game with a bit of context and I really wanted to bring this to ThreeDays. Its unique storyline was managed by allowing the player to play and learn, for instance throughout your time in game you will discover random notes around the shoreline, washed in by the tide, which explain the backstory and what really happened.

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Thank you.

Hey guys! 😊 I was really excited before I tried this game, I thought it would offer a different experience. However, some aspects of the game left me a little disappointed. 🤔

In the beginning, the atmosphere of the game was really immersive and managed to draw me in. The graphics and sound design were outstanding! 👌 However, as the game progressed, some repetitive elements and limitations in enemy designs distracted me. 🎮💔

Character development and storytelling seemed a bit incomplete to me. While I was hoping for a more in-depth connection, the emotional development of the characters was not sufficiently handled. This made the game experience a bit superficial. 😕

However, the puzzles and difficulty levels the game offered were quite enjoyable! 🧩🔍 Also, the overall concept of the game still continues to impress me.

All in all, "Three Days" was a game of mixed feelings for me. While it has some great aspects, its shortcomings cannot be ignored. Maybe in the future updates or additional content will enrich the game experience. 🌟👍

Three Days is a 2D retro pixel top down survival/crafting game with a simple enough premise, you're stuck on some SCP related island and you have three days to go through the tech tree high enough to build yourself a raft from various resources on the island so you can escape. The premise isn't bad, but the lazy, low quality technical implementation is (remember, this is on Steam against games like Rust, Ark: Survival Evolved, Subnautica, Valheim... the list goes on).

From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.

There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.

The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio. It's possible they developed this using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game has been specifically designed for people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really acceptable in the modern era of PC gaming.

The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers.

Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the GameMaker Studio construction kit/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset favoured by amateur developers as it's cheap and requires little in the way of development skill, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. GameMaker Studio is most commonly used to make retro pixel shovelware and cash grabs.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

Three Days is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Game has potential, but it's current state is much of an early access, because there is many bugs and exploits and things that needs to be reworked.

The main objective of the game is to build a boat withing 72 hours and GTFO from the island.

The tutorial in main menu instantly drops you in game after you read everything, without allowing you to choose what mode you wish to play. Also, in my opinion, tutorial would be more better if it was a mini-level where you do step-by-step crafting to learn the basics.

The crafting system is complex and you don't know what to craft first - i recommend before jumping into game to have a look into craft sheet in the main menu and ignore warnings to see the basic stuff you need to survive the first night, i.e. at least learn how to craft campfire and spear.

At day you're free to explore and find a perfect spot to build a base and get some food, and by base i mean a location with plenty of woods and rocks around and set up a campfire that will scare the night monsters away from it.
The speach bubbles of main characters hints what materials you must combine together to craft something but it is pretty random and sometimes annoying because the game HUD is pretty large and you cant see much things around you.
So, coming back to crafting, it would be much better if at least the bubbles would show images instead of text because reading takes longer time and time here running extremely fast and you dont have such time to think. Besides there is a bug happening where your character literally spams a lot of different texts in one speech sequence, and the bubble itself change colors like green when its day but its actually night.

Pressing Escape button during the game doesn't pause the game, it still keeps running even in background leaving you vulnerable even in easy mode. There is no saving features as well.

The combat is just crafting a spear or spikes, hold them with LMB and aim at your enemies while keeping them at distance. That's it. Often you might lose the spear on the ground due to the limited range of dragging the items but you can find it with a tether between the character and the item when you're close.

Some objects in game are really small and hard to see, like fish scale and glue. I think adding the background color behind them like shadow or icon might help to see them.

And few more bugs i've encountered during gameplay:
-I've managed to craft a boat and it had that windows saying "press E to escape", but spamming E led to nothing, big dissapointing bug. But i've managed to replay again pretty simple on easy and normal modes about 4 times, it worked;
-The daytime should be much longer and the skills that slows time should be removed, because in the night, the creatures that run away from lights are hanging on the edge of the light radius trying to get you if you're close enough, and because its so easy to kill them that way, you can get huge EXP drops and unlock all skills in 5 minutes, including those that slows time by ~50% and this thing leads to the very very very long first night. This is problematic for the shark spawn rates that drops material needed for escaping;
- Creatures killed in night respawns very often near the player and manage to successfully attack the player before retreating;
-Also if you wander from the campfire in night you might see that those creatures are not afraid of lights at all, they walk bravely around the base and they only becomes afraid if you're close to it and run away;
-Walls do nothing;
-fishing nets are almost useless, i mean it kills small fishes when they bumb into it (sometimes) but i was thinking it could collect fish over time and make stuff easier;
-Collected pages menu have duplicates among them;
-Ending scenes does not unlock in main menu unlockables;

Hard mode is currently impossible because you start at starving and dehydrated state (and put in dying state in 10 seconds) with slow movement speed and you die like in ~20 seconds which is actually the time to walk to the closest tree/rock, break it down and craft a shovel // spear, it's pure RNG that the tree and the rock will spawn near campfire.

Another thing is that you can die randomly by a thunder during rains, which is annoying when you almost done building stuff.

Overall, i like it. I think it can be better. So far it's interesting.

The crafting system, while new and interesting, has a lot more issues then benefits. Like dragging a thing to another thing to make a new thing is nice but if you are even a little bit too close to something that that thing can combine with boom your day is borked.
I have been told that if you middle click on a crafted object it will be un-crafted. This can make the game's crafting better but with the time table being so fast seconds crafting and un-crafting could get you mauled by shadow chickens. (which was fun to type)

The graphics are something that could be over looked but with how little is on the screen as it is it would have been nice to have some better looking sprites.

This game is tagged as a "Casual" game however that is not true. This is a game with a far bit of difficulty. Although the difficultly is high it is the lack of enjoyment out of said difficultly that makes me not recommend this game.

Bottom line is this I can not recommend this game to most people as it will have very little reward for getting past the difficulty and the fact that it is tagged as casual when it is clearly not. Unless you are a lover of getting your rump kicked because of poor mechanics DO NOT buy this game.

It's alright for what it is. I'd recommend based on a low price and a decent new spin on a time based survival game.

It can get pretty difficult and getting used to the auto craft system is rather annoying but having said that, the auto craft allows for a degree of pace to the game that I figure the developers were going for.
It's pretty simplistic with the crafting and the goal to escape the island is pretty clear, they've even tried to add story elements which is pretty good considering it's in early access.
There is a lot of potential here, much like minecraft in it's early stages to be fair.

If you were interested I have recorded the intro and turtorial as well a the first day (after I learn't to play it!) As I find videos are quite helpful in helping me decide to buy games etc.
https://youtu.be/HgcWrLMYBAU
As well as a full playthrough with the ending on the same channel.

The game itself is pretty short, but with generated terrain every time you play is something a bit different. The turtorial isn't much to go off of and you are left learning on the fly which, again, adds to the degree of pace of the game.

I'll defo be checking up on it's progress as it updates and keen to see what it becomes.

Three days is a small, short indie game however don't let that fool you, this is unrelenting. all though I ussually play this offline due to when my internet is down so my hours should be over 20 hours (really shit internet). This game was made by one person and the support, communication and feedback he gives you is unbelievable, he watches lets plays on youtube and reviews to see how he can make it a better game whether that is fixing bugs or a suggestion for the next update, all devs should look at this dev in awe as he is an ideal representation of what a good dev looks like. If you like indie survival games, get this game. If you want to be punished, get this game. If you want to learn to be a good dev, get this game.

Well...I just realized this game is E.A. Great. I dont buy E.A., I wishlist it. Been burned too many times, sorry Explains a LOT on my review, the clunkly controls, and the terrible balance.

This game seems like it could be really cool. Unfortunately, its not great in its current state. It starts. You are dropped on a randomly generated island. There are chickens and random island stuff (trees, rocks, bushes) that you find in acrafting survival game. Cool. After a brief tutorial during which the (blessedly simple) controls are explained, youre off.

I mess around with stuff. So far, so good. Rocks yield smaller rocks and sometimes flint. Trees yield wood and sticks. Theres EXP. I find a piece of paper witha few recepies and settle down to make them, having a blast. All of the sudden, night approaches and the chickens turn into monsters and kill me. What the hell, that was like 5 mins, if that? I hadnt even figured out the base mechanics.

I restart. I'm going to make a spear and show those chicken monsters what for! I make a spear (dying two more times in the process as I run around trying to find flint before night), but I cant get my guy to attack with it. Hm. This could be an issue. I pick it up and bring it to my guy, hoping he'll do something. Nope. Night approaches. I swipe the spear over the monsters. I'm killing themby having the spear at my feet (huh?), but theres too many. I die.

Ok, fire. Lets try that. I die 3 more times trying to figure out how to get the flint to work. Finally I make a firestarter and chop down a tree. I try to put the firestarter on the sticks. Nothing. How about the wood. Nope. I die twice more. Finally, Ive made a fire, but I dont even know how I did it. Now Ive got a fire. Fun. Whats fun? The fact that every time you get f'n near it or even move around it, your guy sets himself on fire and you have to go dunk yourself. Try to put wood in it, youre on fire. Try to roast something on it. You're on fire.
And you're either too hot or too cold. Hang out working on an island, your guy overheats. Go swimming to cool off, now youre too cold. Same thing at night. Too close to the fire? Oh look, youre on fire. Better go dunk yourself. Oops, now I'm freezing
Meh. This game could be really cool. I love hard crafting/survival games. Unfortunately it needs a lot of work. Half the time receipes I know wont actually work, the controls arent great, and its not so much "hard" as it is "fucking annoying". Hard is like Dark Souls. It requires skill and can be frustrating, but the game gives you what you need to make it, easing you in to it. If you fail, it was you messing up.

Hard does not mean "I have no fucking clue what I'm doing and oh look I'm dead again." or "These controls aren't doing what I want them to. Oh look, Im dead again" or "What the hell is going on? Oh look, I'm dead again"

Three Days is a survival/crafting game that is beyond fucking merciless but feeds you just enough hope each time it breaks its foot off in your backside to keep your quest to build a ship and escape a terrifying isle of demonic were-chickens alive.

The game's insane difficulty comes from the sheer speed at which it moves; you have, as the title helpfully reminds you, three days in which to construct your vessel from the various raw materials lying around on the island before a nuclear bomb wipes you and your black paradise off the map. This translates into roughly fifteen minutes in real-time and at least half of those will have you cowering from hordes of SCPs behind makeshift barricades every time the night swoops in. On top of the sheer stress of having to put together an entire boat in a quarter of an hour, you'll also have to manage your hunger, thirst and heat levels, having to construct campfires to cook raw meat and keep you warm at night and a means to purify sea water so you don't get sick.

It is madness. Vicious, panic-inducing madness that will take many attempts to suss out the various combinations of items needed just to stay alive. Thankfully, there is an Endless Mode that removes the time limit and allows you to get somewhat comfortable with the entire experience before you throw yourself into the full game.

There is no joy like blundering over the combination to construct your first lump of ship sideboard, just as there is no despair quite like looking at Three Days' insane spider-web of a crafting tree for the first time and realising that you are going to die in this cruel place.

My sweaty first attempts are below.
