It would have been fine if all you had to do was make pizza, earn money, and be able to use new toppings.
In reality, it seems that a variety of factors influence the game, such as the choices you make in the story, the time of day you open your shop, and the amount of money you earn.
On my first playthrough, I didn't get to increase the number of dough types, and I finished before I'd used many of the toppings.
What bothers me most so far is how slowly ingredients are replenished when they run out, so I felt it would be more important to increase my stock.
At least it wasn't the game I expected it to be.
