Story
In near future America, the emergence of corporate monopolies has placed a strangle hold on the economy. Among a glut of mass privatization, corporations begin contracting private military security firms to protect their assets. Setting a controversial precedent, defense contractor Grand Robotics Inc. deploys a private security firm to be their "Mergers & Acquisitions" arm.
After a failed attempt to buy out competing Bartleby Automation, Grand Robotics turns to their security firm to execute a "hostile takeover" of their competitor. The firm storms into Bartleby's corporate HQ and locks the building down.
In Turnover you play Clea Holden, a Bartleby worker who becomes caught in the middle of the crisis. Coming to the conclusion that the situation is too volatile, Clea hatches a desperate plan to escape. She must find freedom, armed with only her determination to survive.

It's good, if you're into stealth-action. The protagonist is not completely powerless, music is really good, and the whole political premise scrathed my anarchist itch. The level of difficulty on normal mode is high, but manageable.
A couple levels in the second hald of the game are quite boring though, since a few sequences rely on you getting into a certain place at a certain time and failing to do so results in a lot of time wasted just waiting. Also, guards' vision cones are triangular, so they can see further with the edge of their vision. This wonkiness created many frustrating moments when protagonist was seen while the guard was turning around catching just a glimpse of her.
Overall, it's really worth the money.
The game does not start, and the dev is no longer active.

A good, fairly quick stealth game with a few minor control quibbles.
First, the stealth is very clean. All sight lines from guards, cameras and sentry guns are always present. You also see how far noise travels when anything makes noise. Guard patrols tend to be short so you can figure out patterns quickly. Distractions, especially thrown objects, are kind of finicky. I greatly disliked the throw controls on my 360 controller. It just felt unintuitive.
Even though many levels are quite large, they are usually totally linear. They are more like a puzzle with a single solution. Avoid guards. Move friendly NPCs where they need to be. Sometimes you need to put out fires. Usually cameras and sentry guns need to be shut down.
Later in the game you encounter boss battles that are unnecessary but not too difficult.
It has very limited replayability as the levels are linear and there are only 2 endings based on a single binary decision.
I loved it! This was a real gem for me. I played it on Easy, found that challenging enough, and enjoyed every level through completion. It is really about stealth and avoidance, watching easy patterns, and completing the level. Each level isn't too long, and not very painful to fail and retry. From the videos, I thought there would be gunfire and bombs, but for most of the game it is really no weapons, maybe something to stun or distract. It is also somewhat easy to hide if spotted. But one shot is usually all it takes to kill you. I loved the friends you meet to help unlock things, or the security guard that acts as your hired gun that you point in the right direction. The cone of visibility for enemies (and security guard) make it nice and predictable, and fun. Late in the game you get to do some damage, and was a welcome break. Once you have a security guard to help on a level, if you are careful, you can usually easily clear a level from that point. Graphics are not the point on this game, just the gameplay. I honestly just skipped most of the story until the very end :) . [5/5 stars]
It ran great on my Win10 Alienware GTX 1080, and played with an xbox360 controller on a 65" TV with large pixel graphics.

Fun game. I had a problem with the video mode in ubuntu linux 16.04.3 / radeon, and the developer was so quick to come up with an answer. Controller works perfectly, including re-connecting. Gameplay is hard but fair. You will memorize the entire level, by the time you finish it. There are multiple approaches, and your timing does not have to be perfect. Noise and enemy visual range make sense. Very true to the spirit of Thief and other quality sneakers. Story actually was a lot better than expected. Recommended, but only if you are looking for a real challenge.
Turnover is an excellent stealth game, there’s little room for error, thus strategy is a must. While having never played Hotel Miami the quick reaction from enemies and right-click aiming totally gives off a slight Hotel Miami vibe. Since I love stealth games, I do enjoy Turnover quite a bit. The mechanics are easy to learn, I do recommend however to quickly go through the optional tutorial in the menu as some interactions aren’t very obvious at first. It’s not a game where you can just run through it, but you really need to take your time and plot your path.
I picked this game up on sale for $1.99 well worth that price. Neat concept of evading, not stealth IMHO, the guards and using your brain to complete the levels.
I like the setting, I really do. I like the art style, but the stealth mechanics are kinda bad and the wide variety of levels means nothing for content due to the fact that you get deja vu on every advancment in the story, and brief combat is awful, throwing things to distract highly trained military units? are these human beings or retarded dogs?

Though I scored it low, I can't say that Turnover is "bad." In fact, I found myself applauding when the game covered private military contractors in Iraq and the disastrous Citizens United case during the intro. The premise of the game is pretty cool. The game also appears to be bug free.
However, playing the game devolves into tedium quite quickly. The game, in some ways, pulls from Hotline Miami. Pixelated graphics, a top down view, the ability to pan your view out in each direction, and the absurdly quick death animations. However, the gameplay itself is quite exciting in Hotline Miami, being very fast-paced, and the thumping soundtrack almost makes the player feel as though they're in a trance.
Turnover is also difficult, like Hotline Miami, and players should expect to die quite a bit. However, the slow, quiet, unexciting pace of the gameplay coupled with the brutal difficulty lends to quite a bit of frustration. I think this game could absolutely use checkpoints. With Hotline Miami, I was excited to hop right back into the action. In Turnover, I let out a hearty groan.
Additionally, I think it would be better if the sound made by the player was visible in the game itself rather than down on the mini-map. The necessity of dividing your attention between the main screen and the mini-map grows tiresome.

Nicely challenging without being mind-numbingly difficult. I love the premise and the music is fantastic. Occasionally frustrating, but with a little patience, you can crack most of the levels easily. Deserves to find a bigger audience.
Exceptionally well done. Excellent writing, addictive gameplay, and mechanics that are just plain fun. The storyline and plot are very clever, and the graphics, while not extravagant, have a certain charm to them.
The trailer of the game does a pretty good job of summarizing what you can expect to see and do in the game. A hard-as-nails stealth-based game, it does a great job of encouraging you to pick yourself back up and try again.
I was always a stealth-genre fan, and I've been looking everywhere on Steam for another good stealth game other than Gunpoint (which you should also check out). Alas, I found Turnover!
Turnover is the hidden gem (pun intended) that you should be playing if you are a careful player. Like stealth games, patience is rewarded, you can never be too careful, and planning is key. The mechanics aren't too difficult to understand, but mastering how you get around takes time to learn. It's dark, simple, and fun.
Pros:
+ Good mechanics, especially regarding stealth.
+ Does an especially good job at tension. It's definitely not a horror, but you will get your thrills.
+ Decently long story lasting a little over 2 hours. Maybe less if you're a quick learner.
+ Interesting storyline and plot.
Cons:
- Framerate changes between 30 FPS and 60 FPS. Rarely 15 FPS but it still happens. I'm not sure if this is just because of my computer, but a setting to keep it at 60 would be nice, even if it's just a game feature.
- You can't change the floor/level at the beginning of the game. I've missed a few perks here and there because the objectives for getting them weren't clear, nor if you DID get it. I don't like how you couldn't repeat a past level to get try again.
- (Not really a con) Difficult and unforgiving at first. Even in "hostage" (easy) mode it was difficult in the beginning. It gets better as you learn, but you will often be frustrated.
tl;dr good 8.5/10 stealth game. worth the price.
I REALLY wanted to like this game. While it had some quirky mechanics here and there, most of it is forgivable. But the delay in your companions got me killed countless times. They are borderline retarded, guess they serve lead paint chips at Bartleby Automation. Victoria in particular seems to have that deadly delay that ended up forcing me to just delete the game. Nobody likes escort quests, ever, period.

Its a decent old-school stealth based game with minimilistic graphics. Seems to have potential if you have patience. Will update as I play more. I heard it was made by a single person like Axiom Verge, fairly impressive. Its okay so far, maybe worth it esp when on sale.
I really do love stealth games though I understand they can be rather polarizing as they test patience and can be unforgiving. Turnover is a particularly unforgiving game and has pushed my patience with the short amount of time that I have spent with it.
That said, from each death I learn how to better navigate the game as Turnover has very solid and consistent mechanics. Each level takes me a few deaths/runs to understand where to expect encounters and available paths and how to get through, but getting to the end is wonderfully rewarding and I feel like I really deserved it.
Long Division, LLC is also very open to feedback and is responsive which will make this great game even better with time.

Pros: Cool idea. Good tension. Stealth rules are clear.
Cons: Unavoidable deaths. Missions are too long for how easy it is to fail. Ugly graphics.
I like how you can see where the guards are looking. I miss that in other ways. The graphics are really basic and simple. It has none of the style of hotline miami. But the worst part is how many times I failed a mission due to somethihng that wasn't my fault. Extremely frustrating.
