great fast pace game then hits you and you get stuck lovely game
Big Queue of people - Play them some music? Everyone sat down and ordering at once - Speed them up with some chilli sauce added to their food - including ice cream!!
So yes - remember Diner dash - back in the day when games on the phone weren't miniature versions of the next biggest console game?? well Cooking Dash is that. You can upgrade the walls, the floor, the stools, the place they eat - not that any of this makes them more patient or even happy - no pleasing some people!! But its kind of fun to upgrade!
The biggest aim of the game is to complete the level - "But how?" I hear you bellow. Well Sit people in the same coloured seats as previous people - up to 4 times for bonus points - also string together same actions - like collecting money or plates - bonus moves some more!! And dont annoy grandad by sitting him next to da YOOF or the BIZness man - In fact sit those types together and they are normally done quicker than others. Here we enter the Business lady - so called and typed correctly as she is definitely on the prim and proper side. A bodybuilder - who if you werent sure they were a gym rat, hes brought his weights with him - how much do you bench??? Also a potential colourful Nun in this version - when you see it/her im not sure you can unsee it - Lord help me!
Aspects I have enjoyed on this game - is the fact people arrive either solo or together... whats funny is they leave solo - even the duo's if you serve one first because they want an ice or a cake as soon as you open - which must be 9am as there is always time for ice cream and cake - and their breakfast guest is after chicken wings and bacon - standard breakfast order - then the latter takes time to cook - sometimes their breakfast, lunch or dinner guest just leaves without them - who does that?? I can therefore only assume they are all on blind dates which are essentially not going well, hence their choice of something quick so they can get the hell out of there. We've all been there, the whole you dont look like you picture - you were all green, and the red version of you has turned up - that just wont do!!
Have no fear - as much of the running around can be prepped before hand, put the pineapple and kiwi on the fruit stand and it will make drinks, just leave them there until someone wants one. Is this juice Fresh? who cares - as they dont ask!! woohoo!! Ice cream - it doesnt melt - not in the pink or blue colour! And Flo has help - Grandma - is an amazing sandwich maker, Salad - basically anything in the middle section thats grandmas section. you can click on those items and they will be made and left on the side to crust over and be the most (least) fresh sandwich for your clientele.
The game is process - how do you work - how can you work better - how can you end the day with a profit and people not walk out - because they will, and by walk i mean a magic disappearing act - they literally vanish in thin air, whilst ordering, mid meal, end of meal - if you are too slow to adhere to their every need!! Bad Flo management!!
So whats my aim of the game - I gotta catch them all - ive heard that phrase before, i think?? haha but for me its about the 3 stars - cannot move on if we dont get the expert level rating - makes it tough - but its got to be achievable right? Just one more try? Nailed it first time (AKA 82 times later) and then the next level - i will give it a go and then i will go to bed - famous last words. Somehow you breeze the next 4-5 levels, its then 3am and you have work in 3 hours - may as well just keep going right??
Yes its frustrating that you have to tell grandma what to make - seriously turn your head a quarter of a turn Grandma and they have their hands in the air and giant pictorial speech bubbles of what they want. Grandma needs to go to specsavers (other eye appointment doctor places are available). It's more frustrating when you thought you told her to make something to go back 30 seconds later and shes just bobbing up and down with an empty counter - must have missed the hit box/click box - and now i have to wait 10 seconds for the sandwich that when you get it to run over to the customer - despite them looking right at you - Poof - they disappear - and you are left with a sandwich which you either throw away - or hope that one of the poor buggers sat down may want! Why cant we eat it - maybe speed flo up for 20 seconds of energy!! Actually - i really like this idea - healthy stuff speed flo up - bad stuff slow flo down - i could see this working!!
Its still that kind of good frustrating when you know you can do better in an area - challenge yourself more. Upgrades within game include speeding up grandma - give her an a red bull watch her fly - and speeding up the grills and cookers etc. In fact you can speed up the Juke box - I like to think they play the songs at double speed - chipmunk style! :)
As for the game - with 50 levels - im currently on 43 - my first (150th) go at getting 3 stars - wish me luck!!
Cooking Dash was supposed to be just a fun distraction. But somehow, it turned into an all-consuming, spatula-wielding, pan-juggling obsession. I thought I was downloading a simple game, but little did I know I was signing up for a full-time job in Flo's virtual kitchen.
At first, it was just a few levels here and there. Nothing serious. Then came the challenges, the recipes, the frantic rush of customers with their impossible demands. Before I knew it, I was spending more time managing Flo’s restaurant than my own life. My hands are now trained to click and swipe with the speed and precision of a seasoned chef, while my real-life cooking skills have taken a backseat. Who needs real food when you can serve pixel-perfect plates of gourmet cuisine?
I've started timing myself while cooking real meals, racing against the imaginary clock to avoid a Gordon Ramsay-esque meltdown. My microwave dings, and I half expect a gold star to pop up. The other day, I caught myself shouting, "Order up!" as I handed my partner dinner. Needless to say, they're concerned.
Going to actual restaurants has become a surreal experience. I critique the chefs in my head, wondering why they aren't moving at Flo's superhuman pace. The other day, I found myself itching to jump behind the counter to show them how it’s really done. Let me tell you, resisting the urge to garnish someone else’s plate is harder than you’d think.
I've become a master of multitasking, flipping virtual burgers while boiling digital pasta, all without breaking a sweat. If only that translated to my real kitchen, where I once managed to burn water.
Cooking Dash has not just changed how I see cooking—it's changed how I see the world. Life is now a series of orders to be filled, and every success is a three-star victory. If you hear me frantically smashing my mouse buttons, just know I’m in the middle of a dinner rush, and the fate of Flo’s restaurant rests in my capable, albeit slightly obsessed, hands.
Five stars. Proceed with caution. This game will turn you into a culinary legend in the digital world, even if you still can't make toast in real life without setting off the smoke alarm.
brings back my childhood, always loved these kinds of games :)
Great arcade game! Very chunky!
